Call the Numbers. they should be for the 2 credit bureaus in Canada and the Canadian anti fraud center. it will cost you about 25$ for your credit bureau to keep the info stating someone used your identity. but its better then loosing thousands because you didn't report it...

Got several calls from this number. who was it?

I RETURNED THE CALL FROM 800-565-3460 AND WAS POLITELY TOLD THAT SOMEONE IS USING
MY IDENTITY ON A SEARS CARD THAT I NEVER OWNED AND  THEY SUPPLIED ME WITH 3 PHONE NUMBERS TO CALL TO PROTECT MYSELF BUT  UNLESS I AM WRONG,   I THINK  THERE IS A FEE TO PAY.  I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO !

The same happened to me and it is a legit number. Thanks to others who have posted replies

I just called this number also, and was a little concerned after they asked me a lot of questions so I called the Sears number on my Sears credit card and they confirmed the number for me it is legit. Chase had sent me a letter as my phone info was wrong and they had not been able to get hold of me. Mine was also related to  a gas purchase.

I've just got a phone call from this number. I was told to return the call. Earlier today i got another phone call from someone who said she was from Dell. She asked me if I did purchased anything online from Dell. I denied as I did not buy anything. She said sonebody from Quebec tried to use my card (I live in Alberta).Immediately after I talked with her I called Chase and asked to have my account closed. I stopped using this account about a year ago.

Got a call from 1 800 565 3460 ,  Chase Canada Security, same as Rob's scenario above.
I had used my Sears Card at a gas station a day earlier .
Googled the number and told the caller I would call back at the number on my card.
NEVER give out information to callers you can not positively identify.

Hey , It's a LEGIT number that is a direct line to the Sears/Chase fraud dept.
I got a message on my answering machine to call them asap. I called  the number and was a little hesitant to give out ALL my personal information so I told the girl "How to I know that YOU aren't trying to pull a scam on me?" She said if I wasn't comfortable giving out information, to call the 1 800 number on the back my credit card and they will transfer me to the fraud dept.

I called the customer service number on the back of my card, they transferred me to the fraud dept, no problem! I made a gas purchase on my new card in the morning and they just wanted to verify the transaction. Usually when someone steals credit cards, especially sears credit cards the first thing they do is go buy gas. Everything was good. I then asked the guy about the 1-800-565-3460 number and he confirmed that it is a legit number direct to their fraud dept.

If you get any calls from credit card companies asking for information. Don't call the number they give you, but call the customer service number on the back of your card and they'll transfer you to the proper dept. Hope this helps ya!

i received a call from the 800 565 3460 saying it was the Fraud Dept., asking for my Sears M.C. number
name & birthdate. as supposidly someone tried to use my card. Is this a legitimate company?
