To all that are receiving calls from United Cash Loans:  Here is what you can do. First I am not a lawyer but I looked this up on the internet.  Send them a "cease and desist" letter certified.  Then look up on the internet the  "Fair Credit Reporting Act", it will tell you what they are and are not allowed to do.  Also, you can contact the office of Banking and Finance in your state and find out if they are legal to operate in your state.  It will also tell you which agency you can report them about their harassing you.  Good luck

If they are illegally loaning money doesn't that make them no better than the guy that loans money out of the back booth at the bar? Shouldn't their acts be criminal acts?

They try to make that argument, but it is a knife that cuts both ways--if they can't be sued, they can't sue.

If they are not licensed to do business in your state, and they are violating the lending laws of your state, they have little recourse but to bug you. Courts are not very friendly to payday loan companies.

I have been receiving calls from this number off and on for about 3 years.  I have never borrowed money from United Cash Loans and they always demand my info which of course I refuse to give them.  When I refuse to verify my info, they say then we can't help you, so I hang up.  I've coded several different numbers from them into my cell phone and blocked them and periodically they pop up again with a different 800 #.  The call back # is the one listed here.  The call generates from 800-410-9275 another one they have used is 800-380-4574.

Send a copy of the report via certified mail with a return receipt.  That way when they say they never received it, you can say, yes you did and so-and-so signed for it.  Go talk to them.

Continue to receive calls from this company who refuses to give information but wants your information. They are a scam and are relentless. I refuse to give them any information and then they threaten me. Their phone calls are harassing and abusive. They claim to be a company called United Cash Loans.

This Company keeps calling me & claims I took several loans from them & I didn't pay back the fictional 1st loan I received from them but they gave me a couple of more loans which were paid back from a bank that I have never used or done business with. When I ask for copies of the the application they claim they gave it to me on my good word and don't have any documentation of any of these loans. This COMPANY IS A SCAM TRYING TO RIPE OFF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE; IF THEY CALL YOU CALL YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL & REPORT THEM.

THANK YOU

Haven't received a call from this number in awhile, but was notified they called my work after hours yesterday. Please do not answer if they call you. They are a scam and will try to get money from anyone. They are not professional in any way. My local police told me not to acknowledge them and a lawyer I spoke with said he would not waste his time with them. I hope they are caught and stopped soon, and there are many others like them out there. Check everyone out and check your records. They will lie to get what they want.

This number just called me again at work so I called back and a man answered. He wanted the number they had called and I gave it to him. He asked if I was (my name) I said yes. So that is when he said he was with United Cash Loans and he needed the last 4 digits of my social to look up my account. I told him that I was uncomfortable giving out that information. He said that he had no other way to look up my information without it and kept pressing me for it. I told him that it was nothing personal but there had to be another way to access my information if there was some kind of an issue. He again stated that there was no way to look up anything without the last 4 of my social. We went through this about 4 times and I finally said that I was not giving him the numbers. He stated that he has many accounts he is working on and he needed to keep the line free so if I was not going to give him the numbers he could not deal with me. I told him that if he found another way to access my info that he could feel free to call me back to discuss whatever supposed issues there are.

I may have been a little too guarded and there may not have been any harm in giving him the numbers but I think that if there was a real issue and a valid complaint against me with this company that they could surely find some way to gain access to my information without the need for my social. I do not owe United Cash Loans anything so I feel as if they were fishing for information. These people have called me before and had plenty of (false) information to give me with no need for my social so why do they need it now?

Consumers across the country report that they're getting telephone calls from people trying to collect on loans the consumers never received or on loans they did receive but for amounts they do not owe. Others are receiving calls from people seeking to recover on loans consumers received but where the creditors never authorized the callers to collect for them. So what's the story?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

These people call me at work and on my cell. I have tried telling them that I owe them nothing and to send me a validation letter stating otherwise. They reply at they will be happy to after I go ahead and set up a payment arrangement. When I told him that even if i were going to set up an arrangement (which I will not) I have no credit or debit card and he told me that I was lying and that he can see that I have a MasterCard assigned to me! How can they see that kind of stuff? He then tries to tell me that we can call my husband, mother, brother, etc. to get their card number to set up an arrangement until I can get a prepaid card because the offer he is giving me will not last. He is crazy if he thinks I would ever give him a card number on his word that it will not be charged! Even if I owe them I would never give them any numbers because they will probably clean the acoount out ASAP! I have told them to stop calling me-especially at work and I was told that they will call as many times as it takes to get the money they are owed. I told them to just go ahead and sue me like they keep promising they will do because I will never give them a dime for some supposed debt.

It is the law that they have to send a validation letter if you have an actual debt. Their refusal and stalling just shows what kind of crooks these people are. They will not even give you an address when you ask them for it. What kind of real business does not have an address? They will try to say things like-"Did we ask you for a validation letter when we loaned you money? Do the right thing and pay back what you owe!" when they are asked for proof. Never give them any personal information or I have a feeling you will be sorry. These people need to get real jobs and quit scamming.

I have never done business with or even heard of this company. They claim I received a loan from them which I have not. I filed a police report and faxed it to the company on numerous occassion (they always claim to never have received it) I have reported them to the BBB and the State Attorney General office. I shouldnt have to file bankruptcy to be rid of these people that I have no dealings with. The constant phone calls by various people from this company to my job is putting me on edge.I dont even know how thet got my work number! I need help, I fear they are going to ruin my credit rating. Can a class action lawsuit be filed against them?

calls,over and over for over 2 years, my cell was turned off for months, i should have got a new number with a new cell, leaves the same broken recording of a female from down under somewhere, something about press 2 to make a payment, i should have changed my cell number. i'm on unemployment now, trying to survive and they are killing me. i had a bank account shut down because they would charge so much money that I wouldn't have anything left in my account...to the point, the bank had to close the account and report me, they take advantage of and destroy peoples lives!
why aren't they illegal, ?, why are they allowed to exist?
