repearted calls asking for carol thompson

caller is rerouting the original number and then trying to collect via a credit card on an old ATT bill that doesn't exist. Heavy pressure tactics and then cursing and such. Screamed fraud.

I get several calls a day from this number. They never leave a message on voice mail.

They never sent a bill & just started calling telling me that I was late. The call in the maorning & late night all week long. I called them back & now there trying to charge late fees. after some aruing I'm suposed to be getting the fee taken off, but we'll see. I would not recomend WAMU to anyone. They are a sneeky & coniving company.

This company try to collect $200 from my wife. And treat to cancell all my accounts and her accounts. When I call back All they had was Teh intials of my first Name. My last name and my home number that is public. The picked up the phone and try to collect money via treats even if you are not the person they are looking for

Got a call today, out of the blue. Googled the number that led me here. First time getting a call from this place.

These are the most obnoxious people I have ever met in my life. Anyone who would like to have a fun time calling them back just to annoy THEM, try extention 3110. I don't even own a Sears card and they are trying to tell me I owe over $4,000! They can shove it, and I've had a fine time prank calling them, I suggest it! It's stress relieving!!

Message from "Alliance One" calling for "Hector Baldy" (there is no one by that name here and we have had this number for 10+ years). Said to call back 1 x640. I called back (to cease the daily messages!) and was blocked from their calling system.

MOUSE -- FYI, FDCPA only applies to 3rd party collection agencies. Since Dell does it's own in-house collections, the FDPCA rules don't normally apply. However, you can send a certified letter /w return reciept to DFS with a courtesy copy to your state AG requesting that all correspondence regarding the disposition of your account be done in wiriting via us mail. Depending on your state laws regarding harrassing phone calls, you may be able to stop them from calling your home, mobile, and work numbers about your Dell account.

Caller claimed to be a finance company, not a collection hound.

Got similar calls as others: That this is not a sales call and that they have an important message for me. I usually hangup before they complete the recorded message. Last call was from on 7:13 PM. Previous calls: 8:39 pm; 6:35pm. This is a new number they are calling from. Before they called from ( 7:15pm), (, 8:05 pm), ( 2:06 pm and 5:25) and this isn't a complete list. I called back once and asked them not to call my number ever again (of course it didn't help). I filed a complaint today with the "national do not call registry".

Received a phone message asking for the person that was handling the affairs of the late Carol Thompson to please call Phillips & Cohen Associates about an important matter. We have had the same phone number for several years and do not know a Carol Thompson dead or alive..we believe this is some type of phishing ploy. After reading the comments left by others, we will NOT be returning their phone call.

Phone number appeared on my caller ID. I have gotten repeated calls from the "Ken Hughes" folks.

This number calls my cell phone, if I dont answer and try to call it back it hangs up on the first ring.

Call was forwarded. I answered and they said who they were. When I asked why they were calling they hung up.

I had this number on my caller ID when I got home. They called while I was at work and did not leave a message on my voicemail. I have no credit cards nor lapsed debts. My brother, however, does. I may call them tomorrow and see what is going on.

This number is from Red Line Recovery Agency (a debt collection service) and they called my husband's brother's FORMER wife (who I have never met and have been with my husband for 18 years!). They told her they were collecting on a debt and that her name was on our account, which is an absolute lie! Talk about embarrassing!

Sorry guys but we do not have a Blockbuster where I live and I get the number. So it is not Blockbuster.

The caller started out polite, but quickly became an as*. We have no cc debt and a small mortgage, so this was rediculous.

I received 3 phone calls from this number, but they refuse to leave a message. I do not answer when I cannot identify the caller, either by caller i.d. or a message left, because I have been wrongfully harassed by callers in the past.

this collection agency works exclusively with payday loans. got a call from them today but wont answer. Some payday lenders charge you twice the amount you borrow in interest alone. i paid my debt back to them in three months but the said i still owe them 900 dollars. i dont owe them a cent. keep your bank statements if possible showing them how much you paid them

they called and put me on hold. some bull.
