calling my work phone # several times a day, but no-one there when I answer.

Just call the number back and you will get a recording that instructs you to leave you name and number after the message and you will be removed from their calling list within 24 hours.

I received this call.  When I answered there was a long, long pause, but eventually I was solicited for my information for a free magazine subscription.

same as others -- the other line hung up when I answered the call. My understand of "800" numbers is that the owners get charged for calls received (I'm sure there is some sort of tiered number of calls allowed).  I'm surprised this doesn't cost them money by taking in return phone calls.

Daily calls at about 9-9:30 AM ET; I do not answer it because of the above comments.

Calls several times a day on business phone - drives me NUTS!!  The number is so familiar, I just ignore it... Rings 2-3 times, then stops - and calls again later during the day.  I can't believe our "do not call list" can't (or won't) control this crap!!

Annoying - repeated calls at all hours.

If it's a telemarketer and not a collection agency -- here's how I believe it works. They have automated telecall equipment. It starts dialing at 000-000-0000 and continues to 999-999-99999, and every number between. It dials 10-12 numbers at a time. The first human that answers causes all the other 10 or so to abort -- so you get a ring but there's no one there. (It logs the ones that abort or don't get answered and keeps calling.) The target who does answer gets told to hang on while they're forwarded to a low-wage (almost welfare) desperate person working in a "boiler room" who has to do several hundred calls in an 8 hour shift or they get fired. So these sleazeball operators victimize their targets AND their workers.

800 572-0665 calls several times a day, sometimes 20 minutes apart and hangs up when the call is answered.  Must be a computer program that hangs up when everyone in their phone bank is busy.  How do you block their number?

Whoever it is at this mnumber, 800-572-0665, keeps calling me a few times a day and hang up the call. Why do you do this non-sense thing? Do you have better things to do?

The amazing part is that they keep doing this.  That means that some of the calls are successful and somebody is buying stuff and the sellers are making money.  If people just refused to do business with these types of telemarketers they would disappear overnight.  I think they prey on older people and people with too much time o their hands.

Calls from this number every few days, sometimes VM picks up - no message, but lots of background voices.

Called and when answered, there was no on on the phone.  I waited to hear if somenoe or recording was there, nothing.  The call disconnected after about 10 seconds.

After auto-attendant picked up the call it routed it to my phone and there was just music.  Listened for a few seconds while jotting down the caller ID then hung up - never spoke with anyone.

Caller with foreign accent said Hi Ma'am & hung up.

Asked for our president I dumped him into voicemail, he came back asked for our safety manager I asked who he was with he said Occupational Safety Magazine.  I told him our safety manager would not be interested. He said thanks and hung up

Receive calls almost daily from this number and no one answers

This service calls me, asks for my name, and after my confirmation, hangs up.  Very rude.  This is done about 3-5 times/day, for the last few days.
