You need to file fraud and take your computer to a real live tech you can see face to face. This is a scam and your replying to a shill for the scam.  You need to change all your passwords everyplace and place fraud alerts on your credit, bank, and CC's if you have them. The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!

A man by the name Edward just called me from this number he said his identification is MS 117. He was very adamant about wanting me to log on to my computer so he could fix my issue with windows. I told him to remove my phone number from the calling list he said that was not possible. When I asked him which computer needed Repair he could not tell me. So I called him out and told him that I knew that was a scam. He then told me to call him back at 1 800-597-8083 That's when I did the search and found this site.

I am getting the same calls. They say they are partnered with microsoft and need to me to go to my computer to help with the problems.  I played dumb, got the same message to call the 800 579-8083 and that his name was William.  Im pretty sure its a scam for them to get info from your computer.

They now have a new tactic claiming that they are not calling for Microsoft but are calling to let you know that they are a legitimate company and if you have problems, please call them @ 1 800 579 8083.
So they want you to believe that they are a brand new and honest company.

Could not understand them well enough to get the name of the company they claim to be.

SO - what is your real physical address?  By that I mean street address, city, and zip code.  Of course there won't be an honest one since you are just a shill.

OKAY!

I have an issue!  I'm on my computer, surfing the web, and come across the awesome 800notes.com. I'm doing mah thing, helping people, getting help, la la la, when, suddenly, a wild scammer appears!   This scammer claims to work with computers and that people's computers have issues, but really, only is interested in harming and stealing.  This scammer conveniently ignores that Microsoft themselves states that THIS IS A SCAM.

Whatever should I DO??

Oh, I know, I'll listen to Microsoft. Let's see, again, what they have to say:

Will Microsoft ever call me?

There are some cases where Microsoft will work with your Internet service provider and call you to fix a malware-infected computer?such as during the recent cleanup effort begun in our botnet takedown actions. These calls will be made by someone with whom you can verify you already are a customer. You will never receive a legitimate call from Microsoft or our partners to charge you for computer fixes.

Righto.  BYE NOW, SCAMMER.

(And whatever babelfish did you run that post through? JFC ow.)

And you are a scammer that doesn't use Western Union to scam people.  The absence of WU doesn't make you any less of a scammer.

after a lot of google i found there are many companies who are calling us with same speech. major of them are using western union which means they are frauds. atleast this company has a base in us. the owner said they are new and trying to build competency. they have outsourced the support to an indian company. local guys charge a lot to do small jobs. this company seems cheaper to me.

Prank Call
Just got a call from a "Brad Smith" with such a heavy Indian accent I couldnt understand him. He told me that for the last two weeks they were getting messages of a corrupt file in my computer. He wanted me to download something. I refuse and told him I didnt have time for this call and I have insurance that could easily fix this. I asked for his number and he said just to call him back and ask for him. He also said he was from microsoft. LIES!

Just recieved a call from this company, Techylink, says they are a microsoft partner and they want to help me with my computer.  Funny thing is he had my cell phone number and email address but Microsoft doesn't collect any personally identifiable information in any reports your pc may send to them.  I am an IT professional and have never seen or heard of anything like this, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION, DENY THAT ANY OF THE INFO THEY HAVE ON YOU IS CORRECT AND HANG UP ON THEM.
