I received an email reply from Kristin Harris after applying for some jobs on craigslist.  I thought it was legitimate at first because they asked me to get my credit report and email when I had it so I could come in for an interview and bring my credit report with me.  I did get one from my work and emailed her back that I had it, so she would call me for an interview.  She then sent me the same damn email back again.  I then though maybe, maybe she accidentally sent me her reply again.  But after I waited for a week I sent another email to her explaining that she still hadn't told me the next step yet.  I got the exact same email back but from a Megan Everson.  Got stupid pathetic people like that are so lame.  Get a real job you idiots! Nobody's gonna send you personal info over the web.

Contacted in response to what appeared to be a real job listing on Craigslist. The company Spherion's representative sent me an email asking for my credit report before she would even discuss the location zip code of the job simply stating Charlotte. Contacted NC Employment Security about companies asking for credit reports and their public information rep said no employer should ask for a credit report and you are not obligated to send them one. If a company has previously employed you with any of their so called clients of which they are stating you may have had prevous issues, it will show on your resume and that reason is lame. Only such places such as banks or related ever ask for credit reports and that is only is direct employment is considered. Never give any temp agency your credit report. If you already have, put a fraud alert on your reports for protection.

Also notice that the "reply" email address is different from the one listed under her name...and neither is a Spherion email address.

I received an email with this number at the bottom, and a cell number it's supposed to be from the staffing agency Spherion (which is a real agency).  The same story.  I had to fill out a credit report request.  Once I got it I was supposed to send it to them. After that, they promised they'd schedule an interview with me in 1 - 2 days.

I replied back twice.  The first time with just a
"Thanks".  A few minutes later I got the exact same email they sent before.  Next day I replied saying I didn't feel ok giving my SS # online, but thanks anyway.  A couple of hours later they sent me the SAME first email!!. Very fishy.  Now I am sure a did the right thing by not taking this job thing seriously and mainly not giving them my SS #

I received the same e-mail. I am REALLY tired of this.  It is difficult enough to try to find legitimate employment without having to wade through this bogus crap.  I forwarded the e-mail to the real Spherion, let's see if anything happens

If you receive this number on the bottom of an e-mail sent to you from someone "working" at Spherion, do NOT call it. This is another craigslist scam. Any e-mail typically from craigslist ending in "@gmail.com" is usually not to be trusted! The e-mail sent to me was asking to have my credit score checked, and once I receieved my score to send them the information. Any scam e-mails phishing for this type of information forward to: reportphishing@antiphishing.org or spam@uce.gov
