I just got a call from the same guy a few mins. ago.  He wanted to purchase an HP DV7000 laptop.  First he said he wanted a DV700.  He wanted to pay for it over the phone as well.  This is a scam.  We get these calls all the time from folks trying to rip off smaller computer repair shops.

I got the same kind of call as Nicole.  I won't be calling back.

The called didn't identify himself, but spoke with an accent that sounded asian to me. He asked for the price and how many 42" LCD's we had. It struck me as odd that first he called a family-owned business from a 1-800 number asking to purchase multiple tv's and didn't care what kind. Also, he tried to make payment immediately over the phone. I know this is some sort of scam, so I tell him that we can only accept payment in person with a valid ID matching the person in the store. He said okay I will see you tommorow then. I wasn't expecting that answer, so I will be alerting the owner. I still believe this is a scam.
