I forgot to mention that according to their non-profit paperwork they are actually based in Wheelersburg OH. The latest financial information I could find was for 2012 and showed revenue of $393,760 and total expenses of $387,726 which leaves $6034.

The caller stated he represented the Tennessee Police Federation. I listened carefully to his voice as he asked for money to buy bullet proof vests (his words) for local police officers who cannot afford to buy them, and remarked that his accent marked him as a native of another state. He became very flustered and claimed that he was not from out of state. I was on my laptop as we spoke and requested that he wait just one moment as I researched the organization he represented, he quickly responded that he would call back at a more convenient time and hung up.I finished the search and found that the address this organization uses, which claims to be a non-profit located at 718 Thompson Ln. in Nashville, is actually a UPS store location.  Do I need to say scam.

This group will NEVER get a dime from me.  They call all of the time!! They are rude and disrespectful. They have unmitigated gall to try and intimidate you into giving them a donation. NEVER, NEVER!

They called me today, identified by name and organization, And I hung up on them. Don't have time for them or their friends. I pay my city and county taxes to support police, fire, EMTs, etc.

This number called my home this evening and when I did not answer he actually called my name and asked me to pick up!!! Creepy people!!!! This will not get you any donations ever again!!!!!!

They called twice before, saying it was asking for teen drunk driving donations, I asked this guy where he was calling from, he said uh, and then after a few seconds of hesitation said my city, got my name out of the phone book, it was Sunday, I told this low life I don't do donations over the phone and this is the Sabbath, then I hung up on the low life. Scam all the way. Toll free calle on my caller ID. Don't even know how to spell, like a toll free call was something great, there are 10,0000 toll free calls out there.

It is the TN Law Enforcement Federation and when called back, there is a machine that will so state. The sorry part of Do Not Call is that charities, law enforcement, politicians are allowed to call. It also exempts anyone that you have conducted business with, their subsidiaries and associated 2nd party people they do business with. It is a useless law and needs the words Opt Out changed to Opt In with No Exemptions for the caller. Hardest part is to get the gutless politicians to make the law actually favorable to the average person.

Received a call from this number today and no one answered.  When I called back there was no answer.  It said they were unable to take my call after about ten rings.

Constantly calling and asking for donations.  Very annoying.  They are legit.  I checked them out once last year, but when I researched that most of the money did not even go to help police, I refused to donate.

Received a call from 1-800-617-9693 Sunday morning.  They hung up when I answered.  When I called the number right back, it just rang and rang, no one ever answered.

A woman pretended to know me...and she knew LOTS about me. Asked all kinds of questions about a third party.

If they are from Nashville, why are we giving to them up there, and we also support the one in the area that we live in that is much farther  south of Nashville TN. Do they not realize that people don't have work, and after you give in the area where you live, you are give out. Then they will show up at your door in October, wanting yet more money. Yeah, these clowns call each and every day. My wife answered one night without checking the caller id. She explained that she considered a law enforcement charity a worthy cause, but explained that her husband was without work right now (true dat) and we couldn't donate now. His reply, "I've already heard that excuse today". I leaned into the phone and said "now you've heard it twice, bub!". He hung up.
