This company is calling me at work, and harassing me.. asking for my parent's credit card... asking for my checking account information, and also my debit card information.  I have told me to never call me at work, contact me my mail only.. and yet.. They are still calling me at work..and when I am not at work they leave messages for me... ( so this is involving a 3rd party )

They're a collection agency, and I know that Chase sells their accounts to this company for collections. I'm sure they handle other companies as well. They also say their name as Mrs. or Mr. So-in-so, I guess to intimidate.

They called my home asking for my son. I told them he was at work.  They wanted to know his work number.  When I didn't tell them, they wanted his cell number. I told them I don't give out cell numbers. When I told him that, he started saying," Ohhh, he's got his mommy screening his calls for him."  I told him he was rude.  Finally, he said "Is there some other dumb animal there I could talk to."   He continues to call.  I don't answer

CUBICLE GANGSTERS

I recently worked at this horrible place. National Enterprise Systems is the collection agency from hell. It's the devil's worst nightmare. Employees are trained to collect according to the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act but once on the floor in their respective departments collectors are told to forget everything they learned.

My supervisor, Bryan Howard under the alias of Paul Stevens, regularly provided a second voice to collectors having trouble closing collections. This idiot would identify himself to callers as a federal agent, an NES attorney, etc., anything to try to scare the debtor into paying. He would actually tell debtors and their spouses that a lawsuit had been filed and if the account is not paid by postdated check by a certain time that day a deputy of the court was coming to serve the debtor on his job. I witness this on a daily basis all day long. B. Howard is neither a federal agent, attorney nor any of the other things he claims to be and NES don't sue debtors. All are clear violations of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.

Debtors are talked to as if they're inhuman. Even when the debtor is not home the person taking the message is treated like dirt. I will never forgot my supervisor shouting at an 81 year old African-American woman for not getting a pen and paper to take the message. "I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE 81 YEARS OLD HE SCREAMED AT THE WOMAN." I've witness collectors hollering at kids "GO GET YOUR FATHER."

You are not supposed to talk to spouses—in certain states--about their significant others’ debt unless given permission by the spouse to do so. This rule is ignored at NES. In fact when I left training I put the document about the spouse rule on my cubicle wall to reference only to have it snatched and trashed by Bryan Howard who said I wouldn’t need it.

The owners Ernest Pollack, his wife, and two sons: Scott and pie-faced Chris are well aware of what is going on. These people are hands on owners. They constantly walk the call room floors, note the individual collectors and group collection sales and hear all the violations first hand. The more a collector screams at a debtor the more they like it. People actually clap and cheer when a collector goes off on a debtor. All that concerns these greedy money grabbers  is how much money they are collecting at any given time.

Payments are demanded in full although they do offer settlements that are too demanded in full. Money orders and mail-in payments are not accepted, only postdated checks over-the-phone or Western Union Transfers for Citi Bank accounts. Some other creditors do allow NES to also take payment by credit card. For the postdated checks debtors are asked to give their accounting and routing numbers. NES, the scumbags they are, attempts to take the money out before the postdate. Nice company huh!

Collectors and supervisors once provided with bank info by the debtor call banks automated customer service numbers to obtain how much money they have in their accounts. We have their social security numbers so getting info this way is like taking candy from a baby. Some banks have safeguards against this and required you talk to a live person. They also work this wickedness on debtors’ credit card accounts or the credit card accounts of the debtors’ spouse, mother, father, etc. I remember one collector on the phone with a debtor saying “Your Mother Has $7,000 On Her Card She Can Use;” She Can Pay This Debt For You!”

If anyone needs someone who's "been there" in any of their legal actions against this despicable company I’m your guy.

I get the same phone calls for someone that doesn't live here.  I am going to try the "Do not call" authorities.  This is the government agency that you perhaps signed up with to stop solicitation numbers from calling your home.  You are supposed to tell them never to call again.  If they do, you can report the number. However, be aware that they are also calling from local numbers with the same area code, and using names of people (that I do not know) and no phone number (as seen on my caller ID).  I have picked up these calls thinking they were local calls.

I got automated messages from this number, 5-6 times a day. Finally I called the number, to remove my phone number from their list. I found out, they were calling for my roommate. When I told them, he doesn't live here anymore, they were asking all kind of questions (for example: "Do you have a contact with him?" Don't you like him anymore?"...) I told them, that first of all, it is not of their business, they hang up the phone. I called back asking for the supervisor; of course all the supervisors were serving other customers.

This man says him name is: Pat Gibson called today and asked to speak with a fellow coworker of mine.  As I kindly asked him questions, he refused to tell me which company he was calling from but he gave me his call back number and personal extension #(1607) - stressing that he gets a call back from my coworker because it's regarding a "personal legal matter".

The first call I received was a recording with a male voice thanking me for placing an order and to hold on. I hung the phone up. I received a call that afternoon from a female wanting me to pay a debt that I owed in the amount of $599.99 to ShopNBC. She offered me a $100.00 discount. She also wanted me to give her my bank account number or credit card number. I told her to mail me collection letter, which I did receive. I tried making payment arrangements with them. And pay them with a money order or check by mail. They claim they can not accept payments by mail. I am willing to pay this debt. But I am not going to be intimdated and forced to pay National Enterprise Systems. They should be sued and shut down for placing false calls to get people to respond and call them back. Google Cleveland Ohio BBBS where they have information on this company.

This is a particularly vile debt collection operation that's harassing you:

National Enterprise Systems, Inc.
29125 Solon Rd.
Solon, OH  44139

Here's some background information on NES:  http://www.budhibbs.com/debtcollectorpages/nes.htm

I suggest you do the following to stop the calls:

1) File a complaint online with the Federal Trade Commission at https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01

2) File a complaint with your state's attorney general. The contact information for each state's attorney general is at www.naag.org  Just scroll down to the national map graphic and click on your state.

3) Send NES a letter directing them to cease all communication with you and warning them that you'll pursue every applicable legal sanction against them in federal court if they fail to comply.  Just be sure to mail it via *certified* US Mail with a return receipt request, and save a copy of your letter.  If they contact you more than once after receiving your cease-communication letter, then they are breaking the law and subject to monetary damages paid to you for each violation. (And be prepared to lower the boom on them in court if they fail to comply with your cease-communication notice. There are plenty of consumer law attorneys who work on contingency in such matters; see the links below for attorney referrals.)

4) Check out these websites for more information on protecting yourself against outlaw debt collectors and, if need be, suing them:

Man left message, I call today and a rude man answered asking for if a  woman lived with me and if I was her husband. I responded by who is this calling. He would not say but said this is a "catch 22". You tell me what I want to know and I'll tell you who I am. I replied by briefly and politely responding that I will not do what he said, and then hung up. He then called back and I replied " are you harrassing me sir?" and he replied "oh grow up". I replied that he was harassing me and hung up.

There was a computerized message that called my fiance's phone, saying his/its name was Don Anderson, that he was calling for me about my claim, I would know what this call was about, and to use my social security number for my claim number. If this is a collections agency, I sure as heck don't know who or what it's for and have no idea why they're calling me. I'm tired of unknown numbers!
