Even if you are on the Do Not Call List, you will still get things coming through. One way to stop this is the report them on www.donotcall.gov. I have had alot of success cutting down on bogus calls by reporting them.

Stephanie called from this number. Fine if it is D&B. Since I would not give out my name to this 800 number she said she would "mark down" that I "refused" to tell my name. This is not a legitimate business. D&B or not.

Dunn & Bradstreet calling like they have something to offer and all they really want is in your pocket.  No thanks......

Dun & Bradstreet are a racket.  You have to get a number from Dunn to do many financial things, which is free.  But then they harasses you the rest of your life for fee services.

The fact is that D&B would not have any revenue and they would have to lay off their staff, if they didn't call and solicit memberships  in their credit service.   D&B is on old model that is outdated in the day of the internet.  Customers and partners have many other options available to them to screen and review businesses.  D&B is a dinosaur and will at some point be extinct.  Best not to commit any resources to these clowns.

Same here, only mine was a guy.  Said I had 7 people checking on my credit.  Asked him if he knew how long I had been in
business (37 years) and he did, I told him that if somebody needed any information from me to come meet with me face to face.  I'm old school.  I'd tell them.  But I sure wasn't going to give him over $1000.00 just so he could plug whatever information he want into his system for people to see.  Plus I told him that I thought the people that were paying for the credit report that he was submitting was stupid for paying for it.

Given that the ink is still wet on our brand new LLC, and that we are privately family funded, this is undoubtedly a complete scam. We have no loans, we will need no credit, and we want absolutely nothing to do with these idiots.

Yes, people are checking my credit...so the roboscammers can flood me with more offers of loan money and credit card processing.  I'm thinking the dozen or so I get a day are quite enough without paying Dunn and Bradstreet $400.

I also got this call today, it was a VM. I called the# back and stated I wanted my number added to their do not call list, and I wanted all #s associated with our DUNS number added to their call list.

Tried to get our number off the call list. Took me through a loop hole of steps... we will see if works or not.

Its only a little ridiculous that I get calls asking for the CEO (who doesn't even work in the country) and then the sales person gets very aggressive with me when I tell them that.

Yes they are a real company but these sales calls are not.

These people have called me and sent letters demanding that I complete their D&B profile. We have not applied for any business loans, we have not applied for any business credit cards, so they can keep pounding sand.

They've left me alone for about a year, thought they had forgotten about me.  The last time I actually picked up the phone when they called, I was told that I obviously didn't value my company if I didn't want to buy their service.  I refuse to answer the phone when it's a number I don't recognize (my cell is my business phone) and I always Google the number.  I will not be returning what's-her-name's call, and I've reported it to the DNC registry (another huge waste of my time).  I regret ever signing up for a DUNS number.  

Phone number that came in was 800-627-3867 but rep said that she wanted me to call 866-257-6104 ext 1753. Stated that it was D&B Credit reporting that we had significant negative responses to our account and she recited our D&B number.  Said I must call immediately. Will not call back based on info below

What I find particularly offensive is these sharks feed off the D&B name and reputation on government contractors like my service disabled veteran owned business, who must go through the legitimate side of D&B to register on the contractor website. Left message on a Saturday to call Mercedes about our D&B rating. also gave this number to call back on 866-259-4294 ext 2839. Wish people would get a real job!

These scam artist tried to shake me down today. That seems to be the strategy with these mobsters. From what I've read they are extortionists. Hope they get sued out of existence.

These people have called me 12 times and each time I insist they take me off their list. They ignore and continue to call and pester me. I will NEVER buy their service. They are NOT Dunn & Bradstreet, they are Dun & Bradstreet- a "credit reporting agency" that charges you -the subject- $400  to tell you who they else have sold your information to. The guy is rude and argumentative. If I am going to shell out any money at all it will be to get an injunction to force them to STOP calling me.

Received a voice mail that started with a very sarcastic sigh...then 10 seconds of silence followed by a seemingly angry voice stating "This is Warren and we need to discuss some activity on your account."  No we don't.  What a pitiful business...bullying people into providing as much information on themselves as possible and then reselling that information in the form of a "credit report" to others.  

nice sounding man... asks for the owner.  When I tell him he's gone for the day, the guy says "gee.  He asked me to call him back, I should've called earlier".   I know the man is lying because I know my boss has not spoke to him because we screen his calls!  He hasn't said who he was with tho

And when you state you have a DUNS number, these folks at Dun and Bradstreet Credibility Corp get pissed and continue to attempt to berate you - so I just hang up and have now blocked thier number

First I own the company and the salesman is just that, the advertised name on sales sites.
Second - our business is such that being an LLC, Sole Owner, if they ARE D&B, they need to get new researchers since you can go to the sec of state site and see my frickin name!

Bullcrap telemarketing - and they get pissed off when I say if it's that important, put it on letterhead and mail it.

If D&B is legit at this number, and they want to speak to someone by name regarding credit reporting for a business, then you damn well should know about the business.

I received the same sort of call as most of the posters here also received. I generally let toll free incoming calls go to voice mail, especially on my business line. The message I received was from a woman named Omeglyn Thomas, with Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. In the message, she reads out my company's DUNS number, and that there was recent activity in the past week on my business credit report and it was VERY important that I call back ASAP. She left her name and phone number as 866-257-4284 Ext.2952. I always Google numbers I do not recognize, and found this site. Instead of calling this person back, I called Dun & Bradstreet themselves, and asked for their account security office. The young lady that answered said that Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. has not been a part of Dun & Bradstreet since 2010. I told her that I wanted to lodge a complaint, and she said that I would need to complain to Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. I told her no, I wanted to complain to D&B as the other company had my DUNS number, and it had to come from D&B. She advised that the reason that Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. and other companies were calling to market their services to us, is because I did not click the button to restrict marketing calls and emails from Dun & Bradstreet and associated companies. She said that she could stop the calls by activating this feature, which I had her do. I also received a case number from the lady at D&B, so if the calls continue, I can reference back to it. I still do not like Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp using my DUNS number nor do I like their marketing methods. If I receive any further calls, I will escalate my efforts to stop it. We shall see.
