Calls come in late and all times during the day.  each and almost everyday. Do not leave message.  I do not answer unknown calls but do know its not someone I know

I have a new phone that allows me to block certain numbers. I blocked this one along with many others but.......it still rings once before the block takes over - darn

called and left no message.

How can we stop these calls from this number?

Keep calling several times a day and do not leave a message.

800-627-5490 is from Meredith Corporation / Better Homes and Garden Magazine.  You can go to BHG website and on bottom of page under privacy policy select to opt out of all 3rd party emails.  BHG say that they give your information to "reputable companies" which is totally full of crap.

Have received several calls from this number.  I thought it was a collection agency but I finally called them back and found it was "Better Homes and Gardens".  I spoke to a very nice woman there who assured me she would take our number off of their list.  We will see what happens.

Asking to be taken off their call list is only a temporary solution.  As soon as they update their call list you'll be back on it.  The permanent solution is to tell them to put you on their "do not call" list.  Once you're on this list you will never be removed (if it's a reputable company) and the calls should stop.

What an annoying way to try to do business. Harassment in in most other forms is illegal in USA so why does this persist.  Do not answer the phone for this number and block if possible.

Just got a call from this #...id "not provided".  Surprise!  I called back and my message was forwarded to and answering machine.  I left my # and asked for a return call..no name, just gave my #.  We shall see.  Political at this time?  Who knows.

Got a call from this number -- they disconnected when my answering machine picked up.  I called the number back-- it is a telemarketer calling on behalf of 'Better Homes and Gardens', which I do receive.  I requested that my number be removed from their list.  After providing pertinent info -- name, phone# to be removed, addressed, the customer service rep said the number would be removed.  They're a reputable company, and as my phone number is listed I didn't give them any info they didn't already have.

"Mr. Fornshell" called my father's number, lied to him about knowing me and having my cell number but that I wasn't answering, and gave him this number.  When I called it, this man began shrieking at me about how I needed to settle my debt immediately with him and that he "just knew" my lawyer was a scam artist, and that I was going to "ruin" my whole life by not agreeing to settle with him and that I would even lose custody of my daughter.  I had already communicated with my credit card company, so I do not know where he came from, but he is the bully collector that everyone has heard horror stories about.  He said he was from something called "Alliance", but he lied about everything else so I don't believe this either.

Keep calling. Leave no message. Recording when I do answer. Telemarketer selling magazine subscriptions. I called the number back and a real live person answered so I asked to be put on their do not call list. She took my info and said I would be removed from their system within 48 hours. I'm on National Do Not Call List. If they call again after 48 hours I'm reporting them.

These people represent themselves as calling from Better Homes & Gardens.  I do not think Better Homes and Gardens solicits subscriptions
in this manner.  I did send a list of the dates and time of each call to
Better Homes and Gardens before and after Thanksgiving and advised that  company to remove my identity from their database immediately, please. I also mentioned that such intrusions into private homes makes their company appear an undesirable organization with which to deal.

If the calls continue, I will maintain a list of each call and notify
the Attorney General in the state in which Better Homes and Gardens
is produced and request that the identity of the calls listed
as 1-800-627-5490 be stopped. Needless to say, they are a form of
harassment, and it is illegal to engage in such activity.

They call, ask for the wife, and i tell them she is not here and they hang up before I can ask who they are, or can they leave a message....

I returned the call and got BH&G customer service... they state that they did not make the call, but a telemarket firm... I let them know that they are responsible for the phone number and I would appreciate it if they would "reign in their lackies"..... I was told that they had no control over how "their" number is used and that I was out-of-luck. I asked for a supervisor/manager and was told that I would have to leave a name and number and that I would get a call back..... "The check is in the mail".... and I am still waiting for that call back....

I keep gettig calls from them and they hang up after 3 rings.  No message left.  its disruptive and annoying to run to answer the phone to a hang up.

I get calls from this toll free number all of the time. I suspect it is some kind of collection agency. The one time I answered a long time ago-it was for a person that does not or has never lived here. I probably ought to turn it over to the federal communications system and let them worry about it because this is plain old harassment.

Continuously call and never leave a message....I hear from them a couple of times a week.  DON'T CALL AGAIN!!!!!

I just got a call from these folks and they said they are calling from "Meredith Corporation" - a telemarting giant.

They always call and ask for my wife when I tell them that she's not here at the moment and can I take a message.. they hang up.
Do yourself a favor and pick up the phone and click 'em off the line. They're the one's paying for the 1-800# and any respectable business wouldn't hang up on you. It's obviously some scam going around as when I call back.. Hmm? The number is not in service at this time.

It's a call on behalf of Better Homes & Gardens. They want you to buy some recipe thing. "There is no obligation . . ." I didn't pay a lot of attention, but I think it's one of those "we will send you this free gift, and if you want it do nothing. We will continue to send you stuff every month and charge you A SMALL FEE . . ." I just said NO several times and she finally gave up. She rattled off some phone number if I wanted to get in touch with BH&G. It was a different number from what she was calling from. I think this is probably just a contracted telemarketing service that BH&G utilizes.

They call me all the time, several times a day, i answer it and it goes straight to a busy tone...???  very odd, noone ever speaks of leaves a message.  I call the number back and I get a were closed message, we'd be happy to assist you when were open message?  I HATE THESE PEOPLE!

After several calls to my wife, where they would not leave a message, I finally said, "Friends and associates would leave a message, if you do not want to leave a message, do not call back." The caller responded that this was Better Homes & Gardens, which my wife does subscribe to.

Don't know about a warranty center??? This is probably a call center that will make calls on behalf of anyone who will pay them.

received a call this morning . It was from a vehicle warranty company. they left a message.

I get calles constantly from this number and they never leave a message. The call several times a day even wknds. It's annoying.
