National Business in Nevada called offering me a wide variety of "free" gifts if I would purchase printer supplies. They kept prodding me for a yes answer for a free gift. Since I felt uncomfortable with the fast talking and offers of free gifts I told them that i would not do business with them and hung up. They quickly called back and asked me to write down thier phone number and name and asked if they could called back in 30 days or said this is what they would do. All this is after I told them that I don't feel comfortable with this call and there was no way I was going to business with them based on free gifts.

They called but name showed on caller id as Jeff & Karen Smith.  702-898-7372. He was pushy and pushed the ipod I said no not now and hi gup

Same as the last entry.  Offered a free iPod Shuffle or Kindle Fire if I ordered print cartridges or toner with them.  I told her a couple times that we don't order products over the phone and only conduct business over email.  She fought with me about that and asked for my printer make and model.  I repeated that we don't conduct business over the phone.  After the second or third time I told her that, she gave a curt "Have a nice day" and hung up on me.  Like everyone has said, very pushy.  I wish these people could find legitimate jobs instead of jobs with scam telemarketers.  :-(  

FYI - the number that came up on my caller ID was a 702 area code, if I remember right.  And, I just looked it up - that corresponds to Las Vegas, which makes sense given the business location.

They're still at it.  When they call you, look up the price for some toner on a competitive site like Amazon.  Also, notice how different their gifts are in price (my options were IPOD shuffle or Kindle Fire).  Be aware that they will probably give you the IPOD shuffle (a $40 item) even if you request the Kindle, which they will probably tell you they ran out of.  Bottom line, just don't let them bully you and don't say yes.  If you did, the FTC has come out with rulings on things of this nature that state clearly the legality issues associated with their bold but untrue claims.  Just don't agree to buy a $12.00 toner cartridge for $200.00.

First off, DO NOT say YES, its a trap. You will pay through the nose when you get your bill. Free gift my **S, you will never see the gift. And most importantly, the TONER they sell is ABSOLUTE JUNK, its a compatible from China, that should be BAND from even being sold in the USA. Come on, why hasn't someone shut these MORONS down yet????? They are taking advantage of hard working American businesses that are having a hard enough time as it is with the economy and job loss.

"Kady" called us AGAIN today offering great free gifts if I purchase our toner cartridges from them - they have called multiple times in the past and I have asked them to take us off of their list as we are not interested, which obviously didn't happen.  Kady was very sure that if I didn't like the Ipad they were offering she would find ME (not the business) something I would love for ordering our business supplies through them - I once again told her we have a system for ordering our supplies already that we are happy with - she told me I should come out to Vegas, where she lives, and "visit Vegas sometime girl".  Very pushy, and unprofessional - I couldn't get her off the phone for quite some time and when I finally did she told me to take down her number to call when we need to order supplies so she can show me how easily I can get free gifts.  We will see how long it takes before they call back again and still don't take us off their list.  SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a call from 800-639-3009 2 days in a row and I told the salesman I was not interested and he just kept on talking.  I finally hung up on him and do you believe he called back and would not take no for an answer.  I told him this was a business and he was tying up our line and he would not shut up.  I hung up again.  He gave me his number (like I was gonna call him back). Ha!  We are on that do not call list too.  How do these people get away with this?

scammers, i just got at least 17-18 calls from this salesman.  he was rude and would not take no for an answer.

National Business called offering "free" gifts if purchasing today.   They are persistant and don't like hearing the word "no".  Scammers!

This group is very skilled. they want you to give a 'yes' answer so they can record it to 'prove' you accepted their offer. I had them ask if I was looking forward to the weekend, if I'd rather be busy than bored and even if I had a pen when I demanded the phone number.
Said it was Sandi from National Business Supplies and offered me all kinds of prizes for using their service. I told her to remove me from their call list and that i would be reporting the call. Even used another employee's name to say that she had told her to call. Not happening around here.

these guys are trying to send toner we have no use for. will not take no, and call back and harass us. great business strategy, tom.

I received a call from this company today. They offered me An ipod shuffle and a 40 inch television if we went wtih there product. I told them we could not accept gifts and i was not interested.I spoke with Joe. Joe went on to offer a points system where every time we order a product we could earn so many points and trade them in for gift cards to chain resturants, air line tickets, coffe makers and so on. again i told him we were not interested. He mentioned someone elses name in the organization saying someone talked to him so i asked the other person who i share an office with by the way. He talked to them and also told them we were not interested. That call was 2 days ago. Do these people ever give up? i relize they are trying to make a living but they are not going to make it by getting my business. SORRY! We try to keep business local and help out our community. Thats when Joe said well you do keep the business local because eveything ships UPS. which is not local to me. He proceeded to say multiple times that we are like neighbors. I am not sure about that as i am not even sure where they are located but i doubt we are. Thanks but no thanks 1-800-639-3009. I do not know if anyone else has caller ID but the number they call from is different then the number they give you.

I spoke with someone from this number today claiming to be named Lolita. Normally as soon as I ask for a name and phone number, this type of scam operator hangs up and is never heard from again. But I got the impression from listening to "Lolita" that if she didn't get me to say yes to something, she would be severely punished. When I told her I would rather have less expensive toner than free gifts she said she didn't want to talk about toner - anyone could sell me toner - she wanted to "show me the love" by what was essentially me paying her to be my accomplice in stealing from my company for my personal gain. So many people are so desperate for work that they will even take jobs like that to feed their families. After you hang up on them, please take the time to say a prayer for them to get a decent job where they don't have to hurt people to provide for their families.

Same as above - "Chris" told me he was calling from Vegas, if that helps...  I'll keep an eye here to see if anyone comes up with a handle for getting the calls to stop.  I'm sure he'll be calling back.

I received a call from this company today and as everyone else has stated, they will not take no for an answer. I asked Roger to email me information to look over and he said he would call me back when I'm ready. I told him 3 months, he said July 1 or late June so his math skills seem to be lacking, lol.

They called and I advised them that they need to fax over their contact information. The gentleman got highly upset and said that they sell over 9,000 products. I persisted and said that we have to have approved vendors and would need his contact information. That is when he gave me his phone number of 1-800-639-3009.

He kept trying to persuade me with cameras and ipods and kept telling him our company doesn't accept gifts. He asked me if I was looking forward to the weekend and I told him "No". He eventually asked me if I was married. I finally hung up on him.

Evidently the system works and people fall into this trap. Thankfully this site is up to help us check out these people. it certainly confirmed my suspicions about this company.  Although, I do not buy toner or office supplies from telemarketers!

I too have been getting multiple calls from this company "Roger- who is way too casual and annoying for my taste"... I've been patient and explained we are under contract for supplies and that I have everything they want to give me free.  I hung up and called the number back and asked how to remove myself from their call list and was transferred to a Christine who took my company name, number being called and who I was speaking with so she could pass along to the Sales Dept.  She did ask if Roger had done anything wrong (which was weird) or if we just weren't interested.  We'll see what happens, I'm hoping this doesn't make it worse on receiving phone calls. I'll update any news.

Received call from Jerry from National Business trying to sell toner. They are about as concerned with your office needs as is the man on the moon. They are high pressure sales people in a boiler room environment. I could here the din of many other telemarketer callers in the background and bells and whistles going off when a sale was made. Be careful as the call is recorded and if you agree to accept any thing they have you on tape agreeing to accept the order. I humored him for as long as it took for him to realize no sale was to be made here. Just say no, pause for a long time without commenting and the conversation will self-destruct.

Pretty mush everyone has already said what these losers are doing, however my ever so UNpleasant pitchman was named Tom.
Extremely rude, will not honor requests to be removed from the list, and so, all calls will reported to F.T.C.

Getting the same calls a couple times a month from "Lori."  After going thru the whole "conversation," I finally told her I didn't want some Coach purse. She's calling back in a couple weeks.  She, too, wanted to "show the love..."  Whatever.  Don't buy from this group.

It sounds to me like Tom is the one killing time!!! If I get a telemarketing call I dont want I hang up. We all have a job to do and just like you dont want to get the call, they dont deserve to be treated like less of a person. Just hang up!

I just received a call from Anthony at National Business Supply and the representative was extremely pushy. He has called my office at least 15 times all the while pushing his free gifts and print cartridges.

The man would not take no for an answer and continued to lecture me on how I promised we'd consider his products. He said I was giving him a workaround. When I told him otherwise he wouldn't stop talking.

Do not buy from this company and be careful!

Got a call from "Sarah" kept trying to convince me to give them my printer number to look up. I told here we have a service contract already for toners. She kept being "friendly" dragging the conversation along. Kept telling me all the "free" stuff I could get. I told her I am not allowed toys at work. She said I could take it home. I told her the business would not like that and I could get terminated. She said she could send me a gift card to my home address instead. She was being very persistent. Asking were my wife and I liked to eat. I told her we cut eating out to save money. She kept being 'chatty'. I suspect poor "Sarah" was trying to kill time. Anyway I told her I had to go do some work. She said she would call back in 2 weeks. Guess then she will get music on hold or maybe I can get call block to work. LOL.

The person (Anthony) will not take no for an answer.  He has called twice in the past 2 weeks and I really do not have time for this.  I was nice for awhile but this last time I hung up

'Pete' called; he, like Fred, was interested in 'showing our company the love.' Very pushy (as others have said) and insisted that I did not have enough authority to tell him no. Jerks.

Our company received a call from Fred today from National Business Supply.  Somehow, he knew the name of our previous receptionist and asked me about replacing my toner. He claimed he was our current supplier which tipped me off because he isn't.  He then gave me his whole spiel about how I could get free iPods and such and that he just wanted to "show me the love"...very professional.  I'm currently holding for Fred so I can tell him off.  Hopefully he will answer but I doubt it.
