This has been going on for 3 years it's a scam they try to get a hold of me by telling me I have court cases, that they have a file against me and that I owe money to a companies and that I have to do something about it or I'll be arrested lol. I don't owe a thing and don't have a problems. Scam scam scam this world has gone to hell.

This call came in and left no message and didn't say anything

I read, I think in Charity Navigator, that the "please distribute cards to your neighbors" group DOES give "a portion" of its proceeds to the REAL American Diabetes Association, but only maybe 15%. They use the rest to buy all those numbers and hire the people who (try to) sweet-talk you into going through all those changes. Actually, a couple of times I did agree for them to send me the package, but I did not distribute them (as a neighbor they figure you can get more money from your other neighbors than their cold-calling).

If you want to donate, or any friends want to donate to the American Diabetes Association, here's a novel idea: just donate to the American Diabetes Association. (As with some other posters, I have received almost daily calls from an 855-24X-XXX number, which is why I myself see that they are buying/renting/spoofing any number of numbers.)

This is the phone version of the spam that promotes Pimsler Language Learning or Liberty Mutual Insurance Company or AARP, etc., etc. etc., except in their case they want you to give them a credit card number and street address ? for obvious reasons. Wasn't it P.T. Barnum who said, "There's a sucker born every minute"?

Getting up to 5 of these calls a day, among other telemarketing calls. So much for the "DO NOT CALL" list! As they never leave a message, and do not answer when I have picked up, I have to assume this is not a viable charity.

I am receiving calls from this number at my office phone.  I never answer and they will not leave a message.

None of these calls are coming from the American Diabetes Association. They kept calling my house so I checked and the real ADA said that telelmarketers are scamming trying to make people think they are related to the ADA.  They never said that they were with the American Diabetes Association.  THey always said the Diabetes Association or American Diabetes Foundation.  They asked if anyone inm y house was a diabetic.  The real ADA told me that they have tried for several years to catch these scammers and have their legal team working to track them down.  Only the scammers "move" the location of the registerd numbers.  The ADA is doing good work but getting a bad rap because of people taking advantage of their good name.  They also told me that they never sell the names of people who give money to them.

FYI: This diabetes association and it's useless, loser telemarketers are NOT using VoIP.
They only have around 10 numbers. These numbers are NOT spoofed, and are easily blocked by most phone companies. I blocked these numbers last month and I never hear a ring. I know they try almost every day because I can check my phone records and their calls are all marked "refused".
My advice: block as many of these as you can and enjoy the peace and quiet!!

Got a call from 855-244-7257 march 15 then 855-243-9125 on march 18 then 855-244-7257 on march 19 and again from 855-243-9125 on march 20 and then from 855-244-5107 on march 21.  REALLY?

No one ever spoke

About a year ago they were using a whole slew of 877 area code numbers and calling constantly. I called the headquarters of the American Diabetes Fundation in Alexandria, VA and they said these calls were not coming from them.

Called at 10am.  Thank goodness for caller ID.  It's getting to the point I don't answer calls from area codes 800, 855, 866, 877, 888, 206, and 321; and the list is getting longer.  I also donn't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize.  I let all those calls go to the answering machine, and, in less than one case in twenty, is a person or a message there.  What a pain!  I keep pencil and paper next to the phone; I write down the number and check on 800 Notes.

Now calling before 9AM. Caller ID says UNAVAILABLE; no voicemail left.

Called at 9:3am yesterday. I've received several phone calls from numbers like this and they usually claim to be calling "on behalf of" the American Diabetes Association. I donated once to one of their rides for life and I suspect that is why I am getting their calls. I have a simple suggestion:

F**K 'Em, bleed them dry of funding. Where I live we have a local Parkinson's walk once a year, you have to buy tickets and they never solicit--This is how you do it! For all of these other scum I wish for once these hacktivists would do something useful about them. And I am not saying the DNC list is useless, but over the past several years those organizations it was set up to stop have decided that without enforcement they will do whatever they want. I have filed several complaints and I used to hear back from the FTC, but not anymore. I suspect funding is the problem, but with Sequesters, Debt Ceilings, and Continuing Resolutions taking up all the time and money in Washington I doubt we will see this VERY POPULAR program funded at the levels it needs to be to really BITE these scum-filled-commies!

Call from this number came in today at 4:00.  Yesterday's call from 855-243-9125 was blocked, so they had to try another of their spoof lines.  Do Not Call complaint has no effect whatsoever.  I only have room for one more block out of 42 total, so I'll have to delete some old ones in hopes that they have given up.  Dubious, but worth a shot.

I BELIEVE you have it BACKWARD.  The hours are *9* AM to *8*PM.  IF I'm wrong, PLEASE publish a LINK in the DNC List site that SPECIFICALLY back YOU up.

The anonymous call came in on Saturday morning, making it inconvenient to call the real American Diabetes Association and find out what they know about these calls.

Others who actually picked up the phone from this # have said they get a tape recording claiming to be from the American Diabetes Association.  But, ADA has a different set of phone numbers for contact, none of them a match to this one.  

Therefore I'm assuming it is likely to be a scam by people impersonating ADA.

Another Day, Another SPAM Caller.  This one is SUPPOSEDLY "American Diabetes Association".  If so, the WHY do you use (UNETHICAL Telemarketers who use) SPOOFED NUMBERS WITH NO NAME DISPLAYED and CALL SEVERAL TIMES A DAY and HOUND US FOR WEEKS ON END, RELENTLESSLY???

This number is in a LONG LINE of "*855" numbers that WE WILL NOT ANSWER.

If it IS "American Diabetes Association" it is now OFFICIALLY **OFF** OUR LIST OF CHARITIES TO WHICH  WE WILL DONATE.

We are DONE with you ADA.

got a call from this number  they are claiming to be the american diabetes association but its a recorded call.called them back and had my number put on do not call list. i hope it works

Only answered one call, but there was no response and a hang-up from the other end.
We have received calls from 5 different 855 numbers in the last 5 days, but did not answer them and no message was left on our voice mail system.

I get calls from 855-244-5107, 855-246-5095, 855-244-7257, & 855-243-9125 all of the time - no message at all! Will not answer calls when I don't know who it is!

This is because they use a COMPUTER program to "SPOOF" the number to your Caller ID.  That means it FINDS a number not currently in use, like this one, then 'projects' THAT number into caller id while MASKING (hiding) the REAL number.

These calls may well be coming from OVERSEAS in boiler rooms in INDIA, PAKISTAN, The Philippines, Thailand, etc.  That's why almost ALL of the callers - if you 'engage' with them - have FOREIGN accents.

Unfortunately, the DNC List CANNOT REGULATE nor CONTROL these foreign entities.  They can ONLY go after the AMERICAN "COMPANIES" (FILTHY RICH SCAMMING CRIMINALS)  that are HIRING them to HARASS people and make money off them.

as well as this one (855-244-5107) TODAY.

**BOTH** said "UNAVAILABLE" for an ID.

ALSO got a call YESTERDAY from 857-444-5548.
This one said "LOCAL CALL" - Even though IT WASN'T !!!!

ALL of them we let go to the machine; Funny, they don't seem to want their little SCAMS to be RECORDED - they just hangup every time the machine picks up.

Even though they APPEAR to be COMPLETELY different numbers, I suspect THEY ARE ALL ORIGINATING from the SAME EVIL SOURCE.  Anything legit WOULD **NOT** HAVE SO MANY DIFFERENT NUMBERS - AND - they would proudly ID themselves by specific name.

This is the mark of ILLEGAL TELEMARKETERS, SCAMMERS.

IGNORE ***ALL*** Of these calls.  NEVER give out *ANY* INFORMATION - ESPECIALLY not NAME, ADDRESS (because then later they can ask for you by name and pretend to 'know' you) nor ANY Financial Info (unless you want your identity stolen, your credit RUINED and your bank accounts CLEANED OUT).  Better yet - DO NOT ANSWER AT ALL.

Got this call and the ID said it was "Anonymous"  They said nothing and eventually hung up. They have been calling previously from my records and now they are blocked at my phone.
