I received calls from them and called American Express.  They said that wasn't one of their numbers and this was a fishing call.  They'll leave a message if they don't reach you and when you call back ask you to authenticate who you are with your card number etc.  Of course, they can't authenticate who they are.  Agent said she would report it.

Got two calls from American Express Open today: I didn't answer, they left messages.  When I returned the call, they wanted me to verify account information--no way.  If they're truly trying to assist, they need to contact me in another manner.

John is correct.  It isn't a scam.  They're offering bonus points to come to Platinum or Gold.  Privacy laws are picky, which might be why there are no details on the messages.  Just common sense, don't give out your card number, soc # or birthdate to ANYONE calling from any number.  And have some fun.  You're probably in sales.  See how good they are!

This number is a consulting company that works with american express, it is not a scam, or a data gathering program... They strictly deal with Open Business card products. They already have all your information just answer the call and find out for yourself. Some reps maybe incompitent but most are very knowledgable.

I have been getting calls from them 2 times this week. On two of my phones too. They leave a message saying to call back. My first thinking is that this is a data gathering scam. They leave no details on the phone that would make me think it is real.

I have been getting calls for a couple of weeks from this number.  I do not answer unknown numbers but someone claiming to be Bradley from American Express Open keeps leaving me voice mails asking me to return his calls at a certain extension.  I have contacted American Express and they are not trying to reach me, and have confirmed that this phone number is not in fact associated with them in anyway.  Sounds like a scam to me, I certainly wouldn't give them any personal info if they call you.
