How do they know you have a L&T account? or is that a random guess?

Lord and Taylor-- never stepped foot in their store but Arab sounding guy fishing for personal information.

This # calls me every day & it is annoying. I don't know who it is from & they don't leave a voice mail.

Don't give them any of your personal info. Just block them and report them.

Got a phone call from this number.  When I called back they wanted the last 4 numbers of my social security #.

This number keeps calling every day many times a day. It seems to be a scam because when I call back it says it is from lord &Taylor and asks me for my social security number.  Does anyone know how to stop the call coming to my cell phone or how to report it as a scam?

I have received eight phone calls over a four day period from this number: 800-654-0520.

I was home sick on Monday, January 9, and answered the call in a sleepy haze. I heard the following automated message: "This is an important message for Maria so-in-so. Press 1.) if you are Maria, Press 2.) if you would like to put this call on hold to go get Maria, Press * at any time to reach a customer service agent."

I'm NOT Maria, and they gave me no option to make that known. It's just another example of companies trying to get live consumers on the phone. And of course, once I answered the call on the morning of the 9th, and their computers were alerted to a live consumer, notice the bombardment of calls I have received since.

I  think it's despicable what people will do to make money. But I guess that?s nothing new.

This number is a bogus call from Lord & Taylor about your account with them as your GE Money account is overdue owed to Lord & Taylor.  It's a scam to steal your ID.

...They just keep calling and they don't leave a message.

I started getting calls morning and night for one overdue payment.  I will not answer.   This is a scam.  Do not give out any personal information to these con artists.

This number starts calling early morning, they call several times a day --including weekends-- and they never leave message. what can we do to stop this?

Called and asked to speak to my wife.  When I said she's not home they asked for her cell.  When I asked what they wanted they hung up.  We have a lord and taylor account but don't owe any $$ on it.

Got a call from Jaime yesterday at 8:31 a.m. claiming to be from G.E. Money account (no Lord and Taylor association this time) and instead of allowing her to explain to me what this call was about, I asked her to verify the address on the account, she did and it wasn't my address; she stated the wife's name, and it wasn't my wife's name; she verified the birth date, as well as the last 4 digits of the SSI and neither were mine.  She apologized for calling and hung up.  

I believe people who don't pay their bills also don't answer their phone.

Today, I got a call from Paul this time at 8:11 a.m. and he was calling on behalf of Lord & Taylor (now remember the above link to Kent.edu, the law school) and its GE Money account.  He verified the name on the account, and that's when I said, you have the wrong person.  The first and last name are the same and the phone number they automatically dialed in the database was mine, but all other information they had wasn't me.  I asked him how to get them to stop calling me everyday and Paul stated he put a notation on the automatic dialer and the calls will stop within 30 minutes of the call.  I assumed that's what Jaime was suppose to have done yesterday; I guess I wasn't explicit enough.  My next step if this company continues to call me is to file a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) at www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov.  When a collection company harasses the wrong person, they need to be reminded from a higher authority why they shouldn't do that.

Just want to inform you that on www.kentlaw.edu there is a page that lists retail companies that have cancelled their phone numbers, Lord & Taylor cancelled their 1-800-654-0520 number.  This list is valid for this year:

Got a call from 1-800-654-0520 again at 8:00 am!  This time I didn't bother answering the bogus call.  To me, any collection agency pretending to be a department store (or whatever) employee collecting for a bill or account I've never had is a red flag.  Don't fall for this.

Got a call from a man named "Kevin" with a heavy Indian accent (most Indians don't have Christian names), and he claims he's from Lord & Taylor and that I have an overdue bill of $29.00 on my GE Money account.  (Funny, wouldn't a GE Money account collector call instead?)  He wanted to know if I would take care of this overdue amount on the phone as he had a special offer to make.  I told him, I would not take care of this over the phone and he can send it to me (assuming he has my address which I didn't give).  First and foremost, this isn't a legitimate call as I have never had a GE Money acct., nor have I shopped in or bought online at a Lord & Taylor store in over 25 years!

I also got a call from 800-654-0520 from a Lord & Taylor representative saying I had two overdue payments. Which I actually did, they had my wrong address and I hadn't received my bill. They asked me to call the 800-654-0520 number, however, I called the number on the back of my card. When I spoke to a billing representative, they had the same notes regarding my call from the "800-654-0520" representative.....

as most of you, i didn't trust the 800-654-0520, but to make sure i called lord & taylor directly and the call turned out to be legitimate.

My partner got a call from this number. He kept 'ignoring' the call on his cellphone because he is deaf. So I decided to forward all incoming calls to his cell, to our house phone. Sure as s*** they called back and I answered. Something about 'personal information', 'is the wife home'. I told them 'this is not about personal business and I am his husband'.  Phone went dead!  HAHA

This call is unwanted and needs to stop invading my phone space!

Got called twice once 8 am, once 8 pm on my cell phone --'there will be a slight delay in connecting the call; your party wishes to tell you that it is important'..... so didn't stay on the line -- I hung up!

I got the same call. Said it was Lord and Taylor, and that they have personal business with my wife. They asked for her by name. They put me through to an automated message that gave the number 1-800-654-0520 - saying it was for GE Money.

Got a call from this number. I think they are ID thieves. You cant call it back. They said they are from Lord and Taylor but they arent

No name just this 800#
I don't even have and never have had a Lord and Taylor account.
No message just hang up.
