I am sure you are not going to get whatever you contracted for.  These companies make getting your "reward" so difficult to obtain (your voucher) that they hope you will go away after they have taken your money.  They will keep bleeding you for money (as you wrote above for fridge, etc) and as long as you keep sending them money, they will keep asking for more.  Contact a lawyer and cancel your credit card today after calling your credit card company.

I fell into an apparent scam by buying a travel package last May. I am trying to retrieve my "at the minimum" 4 star hotel for 3 nights in Ft. Lauderdale and 3 nights in Miami, plus a 4th night that I purchased at $100. I have I am forwarding this information to you to review. I am informing the BBB but would also like my Attorney to be aware of the actions of this company. been attempting to book these reservations since January 16th. I was told they would be confirmed in 24 hrs. I am travelling with my daughter and her 20 month old and the 2 month old.
We have by this notice been confirmed for a 2 star hotel in a business area with 2 double beds, I was assured I would have at least Queens.
I also am responsible for another $20 a day for a mini fridge and microwave for the babies food. These people knew we were travelling with babies and this is what they have sent us.
We are in Ft Lauderdale for March 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I have as of today not received a confirmation for the 1st hotel in Miami.
I was assured by Jan that I was confirmed in Miami first, so I made airline reservations.
Let me confirm the $75 per room fee (which was NEVER mentioned in the initial hard sell) and the $100 for the extra night was swiftly deducted from my account on January 16th.
You can understand my concern now, travelling to a 2 star hotel with 2 small babies and not even being confirmed for the hotel for the 1st 4 nites.
I called today and spoke to a very rude person on the phone by the name of Summer. When I reported my frustration at the number of calls, which I have all recorded, the BBB rating of F she said that's not true and hung up on me.
When I tried to call back to speak to a supervisor, the phone was picked up and then hung up like a child pulling a phone prank.

Please advise me of my rights at this point. I have notified the BBB but since they don't even belong to the bureau and by the blogs of other customers I fear for this trip with these 2 small babies.

Cancel your card and call your lawyer. I have had the package since May 2013 and have been trying for the last week to make the reservations....it is a huge scam. They also charged my card another $250 for reservation fees...and now no hotel..

I don't understand how they are still in operation. It is obviously a scam, you might get one hotel at a cost twice as much as you would pay for on a travel site. I feel it's time for a class action suit. Please post on their facebook page..we might save others.

How did you get a hold of them to book your vacation. That is the problem I am having. They do not answer the phone and will not return any of my messages. My next step is to send a letter, but I'm sure that will be a waste. Hopefully they will come through.

I think I've been scammed as well. Supposedly I called 18552030203 when I was actually trying to call AT&T. I googled AT&T contact number and this number showed up and I called them. The machine started speaking and asked me if I was calling about technical support or new service and stuff like that. I said technical support. Then the machine said that I had been selected by AT&T as a valued customer and that I had won a free trip to Costa Rico. It then forwarded me to an agent. I should've really asked if he was an AT&T agent. I guess I was too stupid to :'(  he got me hooked up to a trip to Orlando for 4 days and 5 nights and told me I had to pay a 389 dollar transaction fee of some sort and I did. I really thought it was AT&T I was talking to. After all this they said they emailed me the details and as expected they did. They told me to visit the site www.bestvacationsever.com I did so and I accessed my account were it showed my trip to Orlando and Dayton beach. I was pretty exited and they had told me I was too get a free rental car with no extra cost. I also had 18 months to go b4 it expired. This all happened this afternoon. And now after seeing all these bad reviews I'm scared out of my guts. What should I do, call my credit card company and telll them? Contact my layer?

I got a call from Research Study(on caller I'd) 417-800-2511 with offer of free 3 day/2 night stay for taking survey.  Took the survey. Was called back from VacationnReward(caller I'd) 971-220-1000.  Right away they tried to sell me something..asked personal questions I refused to answer.  Woman turns me over to Greg "Director of IIG" who was obnoxious disrespectful argumentative salesman. Verbally aggressive and abusive when I kept answering his questions with "no, I am not interested in buying anything.  All I want is the free offer for taking the survey.  He never gave me the info on the free stay, told me to call customer service at 1-888-785-3817, and told me there will be $30 hotel taxes, and other fees to pay, reservation fees and usage fees, etc.  DEFINITELY NOT FREE!. I called customer service... No live person...only a message to leave number they will call back, but could not leave numer as I was disconnected..

I WILL NOW REPORT THEM TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND TO MY STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL 'OFFICE CONSUMER PROTECTION SERVICES.....I URGE EVERYONE TO DO THE SAME!

Survey
Got a cold call from Resrch Stdy (417) 800-2511 asking me to participate in a 5 question survey regarding Guns, Mental Health checks, and how Obama is handling current IRS controversies etc. Was promised a 3 day, 2 night gift. Answered the questions, was promised a call back within one hour from their prize people. Got a call 14 mins later from (Unknown Name) at (971)220-1000, promising  various day and night stays in Orlando, Daytona Beach, and the Bahamas. Was told I had an $1100 credit because of lower interest because of hurricane Sandy. Told them I would have to consult with my wife etc, couldn't commit to dates etc. The sales person then sent me to a "manager" who continued to work on me, telling me I would have to pay during this phone call in order to get this deal. I said I wasn't prepared to make that decision without first consulting my wife. He then offered to lower the price to a total of $199 instead of $199 per person. I said I still wasn't prepared to do anything on a phone call, since I didn't know who they were. He then said he didn't know who I was either, which is why I said I was skeptical. So then he starts getting snippy, and accused me of being non- committal because I was skeptical, and not because of my wife. I told him our family had been victims of scamming before, and was just being cautious.... He disconnected the call without warning, and that, as far as I am concerned, confirmed my suspicions that they could be scammers.....

Survey
Well, I just called the supposed 888-785-3817 that you can get your free voucher from since they couldn't talk me out of my cc info during round one while I was talking with first Joseph then the pushy and demanding "manager". After being transferred to "customer service" I was treated to a special message that said all representatives were busy but to please leave my phone number and the reason I was calling and that someone would call me back in the order in which I had called. After reading all this first (before I called), I politely left this message: "F*** you scamming bi****s, stop trying to steal hardworking American's money!" So that is my story with Travel IIG. By the way, they tried so hard to get my cc, it was almost pathetic - the second person, the "manager" practically begged for it. Seriously, who does that?

Survey
I got a call from them just a few minutes ago.  Caller ID showed as coming from Resrch Stdy at 417-800-2511 .  Took the survey, which was the usual hot-button political issues like gun control, in maybe 2 minutes.  Then pressed the button for the call back about the "Free trip".   At this point, I figured it was one of the old-fashioned Time-Share sort of things, and figured the wife and I could at least get a couple of free nights somewhere like Gatlinburg, and we'd just have to suffer through the high-intensity sales pitch for an hour or two.  No big deal.

The "Free Trip" call came in maybe 10 minutes later from 971-220-1000.  The lady said her name was Mary Ann and she was with Travel IIG in Orlando.  After some introductions, she asked which resort I might like to stay at.  So I said I'd like to stay in Gatlinburg.  She said OK and proceded to go through a long list of perks that I could get if I went to their resort in Orlando (along with a trip to Daytona and the Bahamas).  Then somewhere in the list (I admit, I wasn't fully paying attention at this point, as I had just found this discussion thread), she said it would only cost $199 per person and it was such a sweet deal considering the "package" usually cost $1500.  Yeah, right.  So I told her Orlando was just too hot for me, and that I'd prefer Gatlinburg.  She again pushed the Orlando trip, and I hung up.

We never did get to the credit-card bit, as I got a bit bored and hung up.  But from what others have said, and judging by my short conversation with "Mary Ann", this is some sort of scam.

I just realized this forum is about phone calls from 800-656-2780.  Sorry, that's not where my call came from, but it did come from IIG Travel.  And this forum is fairly high in the Google rankings when searching for IIG Travel, so I'm adding my 2-cents worth.

Well, the weasels are still at it. THIS time, their lead-in is an automated political survey promising a "free prize for completing the survey,"  from "Research Study," 417-800-2511. There are about 5-6 questions with a Yes, No, or No Opinion option. Then they ask you to press a number to receive a call back with the free gift information.

The second call came from 971-220-1000, "Out of Area" on Caller ID. When they call, they say it's IIG Travel. And then the selling begins. They're gracious, friendly, sound at least somewhat candid, and keep dropping in positive comments about your responses. And they baffle you with all these numbers, transport from here to there, x nights and y days in z places (not including travel), the "full price" for "VIP Services" and the BIG DISCOUNT you'll get IF you cough over $400 on your credit card TODAY ONLY. If you're reluctant, they keep sweetening the deal. If you ask for time to think about it, they "bump you up to the supervisor" who starts making deals to get you to sign over your credit card number on the spot.

After losing the call, they called back from 888-785-3817. Any objection you have, they'll smooth over with a better offer--but the hook is you MUST sign "on this call." Clear indication that it's a scam. So I looked them up (while their phone bill increased) and found 17 active complaints by the BBB, they are NOT a BBB member, and they're still using the same scam number today--two years since the top post.

I, too, would like the see "Questions'" photos...

I received a call from a woman named Paula about a $1,100.00 credit I received about a 9/8 vacation, at first I wasn't interested and I started to hang up until my husband told me to "Listen", he thought it was a free vacation. My kids always wanted to visit Walt Disney World but we could never afford it. After the details of Orlando there were 2 more bonus vacations to Daytona/Bahamas, the promation was for 199 a person and that was for myself and husband and my 3/4 guest was free. I have 3 kids so we had to upgrade for an additional $65.00 but it was worth it. We did purchase the package for $398.00 but what the upgrade it was $593.00. We just came back last month from our Orlando vacation and we really enjoyed it, my kids were so excited when we told them about the vacation. My husband and I just booked our Bahamas trip and were so excited being that we never could afford a Honeymoon..so this Bahamas vacation is all ours without the kids
