Called number back ... "Thank you for calling Enhanced Recovery Corporation..."

In order to make a collection agency to stop bothering you, they must get a proper letter in writing. It doesnt matter what you say on the phone and that is why you should never talk to them by telephone. They will call and call hoping you will become fearful or just give up and pay. The law requires that a written dispute be sent to them before they must stop calling. Send the written dispute and also demand they stop contacting you. This letter is known as a dispute or request validation and a cease-communication letter. There are many free sample letters available online. One good example is on budhibbs.com. If you really owe the debt they will respond or they can sue you. But if you dont they will go away.
Always send these letters by certified mail so you have proof it was sent and NEVER admit you owe any debt to anyone who claims you do or you will be very sorry.

caller id shows unknown caller, when i use call reversal it says it is from number 658.  who is calling?

Today's automated message says "this message is for...". This collection agency is bugging me every day for the last month but from different 800 number. I know there is no reason to call me as I don't owe them anything, but they claim that I owe Chase bank 325$. When asked to tell me or send me the copy of statement so I can take a look myself of what the hell they are talking about they are saying that they will continue calling me until I pay the debt, but not saying or showing to me what the debt is for. I think these people are just insane and have to go straight to a psychiatric house. Or they have to be sued for harassing people big time!

A female automated voice recording saying "this message is for..." then nothing. I called back and a female voice recording saying "thank you for calling ERC you have reach us after normal business hours please call back during our normal business hour Mon-Fri 9am to 8:30pm".

I vave been called twice today, once early this afternoon and once about 20 minutes ago.  No voice whatsoever.  I've been doing reverse phone number lookups, but they've been fruitless.

calls daily at 530, sometimes at non. says, '"this message is for..." then nothing.

I've been getting calls from this number since Friday...probably 7 or 8 times since then. I didn't hear anything on the other end until this morning...the automated voice saying "This message is for (long pause here)...something about collecting a debt, please call ERC @ 1-800-657-0082 and reference this reference number".

This is on a cell phone...I called my service provider and they said my options were to 1. Add my # to the do not call registry, 2. get a new cell phone #, or 3. Limit my allowed incoming calls to only those on my contact list.

This is just one big hassle!

I get a call from this number once a day, on the times I have answered there is never a voice or message.  On the times I don't answer they never leave a message.

I keep getting a call from 800-658-0076 about 8:30 PM - 9:30PM.  The
automated female voice identifies itself as Enchanced Recovery. Since
I know I do not owe anyone a dime, I know this is a bogus call probably
an Identity Theft ploy.  Do not respond to these idiots and be sorry
later.

Always a robot voice saying the time, and to call them.

I didn't answer, they left me a voicemail. I check it and some woman with a British type accent, which was a robot/recorded message said, "Hello! This message is for..." said my name(first and last) then it cut off.

Automated message says "this message is for...." and is silent for a few seconds before hanging up.

Calls almost everyday including weekends between 8:30 and 9:30

The caller calls around 5 AM on week days. I was woken up by this company 4 or 5 times. I called the number back and the automated message said it's Enhanced Recovery Corporation. I did a search and found this website http://www.erccollections.com. I wonder if this is the company calling me.
