claims to be united recovery systems, which seems to be a collection agency

United Recovery Systems has another number it's 866.815.0559.  I've asked numerous times to have my phone number removed from their call log.  They keep calling and are calling the wrong number for the person they are looking for.  But they keep calling.  Not sure what to do to get them to stop calling.

I'm not certain why I am receiving this call, but would like to have it discontinued.

Call received on 6/7/07 - They left no message but when I called back the recording said they are United Recovery Systems..

United Recovery Systems is a scumbag debt collection agency.  You can easily find out this nasty outfit by searching for them on the internet.  Don't waste your time with them, you can not trust anything they say.  Here are known numbers to block/ignore.

who are these people?

just received a call from the 800 658 1175, she asked to speak to my husband, I asked what the call was regarding and she stated it is a personal matter,  I told her I am his wife and asked again what the call was regarding.  She said she needed to know if he knew a person by something Hall, I told her I was not sure.  When I handed the phone to my husband she had hung up the phone.   Thanks for the postings, I will be sure to ask for a mailing address if they call again

A man names JOE TRUEX called me his # 1-800-304-8855 extension is 3070. He said he was trying to get a hold of my neighbor (even used her full name) and when he tried to call her she has her fax plugged in, so he cannot get through. He said he got my phone number from the phone book and we lived on the same street and wondered if I could go over and give her the message. They are a collection agency and are stooping to even lower levels (though I did not think that was possible) to bother peoples neighbors to get their money! Do not fall for this scam from the bill collectors!!! Turned into FTC as I am registered www.donotcall.gov. We need to unite to turn these people in!!!!

A calling number fro United Recovery, they are a collection agency for credit cards. Get them on the phone and ask for a mailing address, they have to tell you that by law. Once you get that information, send them a letter and tell them not to call you on the letter They will put a stop to that.

continual calls..no message

thay are pain in the....

got a call, and they didnt leave a mesage....does anyone know who this is??

continuous calls on my cell phone which is on the national do not call list.  no messages are ever left.  the same number appears on my unlisted home phone which is also on the national do not call list.  

this same number has now called my place of business.  apparently a matter which was settled over 10 years ago with AMEX has turned up and they are trying to resurrect it.  if one responds or reopens this type of issue even if it has been settled and closed, it will become an "open" item on one's credit report.  resist the temptation to be drawn into a conversation or confrontation and refuse to accept the call, message or notification if you have previously settled all matters.  instead, review your credit report to ensure accuracy. if a discrepency apprears go directly to the creditor not one of these scammers and have it corrected with the creditor and reporting agencies.

Called at 14:44 CST, 11 Dec 2007. Left No Message. This is a new number for me from them. They have a large numbers of them. Unless they get a human on the phone they rarely if ever leave a message.

I received a phone call on Sunday, August 26th, 2007 between 12pm & 12:30pm eastern stardard time. The lady asked for (name), and did not leave a message as to what the call was about, she simply said it was "business matter". The phone number she left to call back was 1-800-326-0150. Unfortunately, i do not have caller ID, so I dont have the number she caleld from.

Received a call at 8:45 a.m. and caller hung up when I answered the phone.  Had just gotten to sleep about an hour earlier and was really angry about being awakened (this was not the first time this has happened), so I called the number.  Turned out to be National Recovery System.  The first person I spoke with seemed really annoyed that I was calling to complain.  She left me on hold and then another person came on the line.  She tried to be more helpful but wanted my name and address, which I did not want to provide.  Then a third person cut in to tell me they were looking for Glenn or Kelly (last name).  When told at least three times that these people are unknown to me and that I've had the same phone number for over 15 years, he became apologetic and said that he would write a note saying that my number should not be called again.

Caller stated he was attempting to settle an account for Bank of America before it goes to collection. Call recieved at 8:15 PM CST

Received call on cell on 05/11/07 at 8:25 a.m. MST. Had to laugh......if you're not (name) don't listen to the rest of this message! Caller said she was from Houston TX, like that's some kinda big deal. The return number she left was the same number that had called the day before...800-326-0150.

I got a call Tuesday May 8th at 1:34 PM asking me to get a message to a neighbor I've never met.  They said it was important.  The person was very rude to me.  I told him no.  He said "So, you're not going to help me?" I told him no again. He said "Fine I'll call someone else."  I told him to have fun and I hung up.  I called the number back to try to find out what company it was and they wouldn't tell me.  I told them to take my number off of their list.

Received a telephone call on 4/11/07 at 3:42 p.m. for someone else.  Asked to have my private cell telephone number removed from any and all lists. This morning at 8:42 a.m. I received another call on my cell phone for the same person and again asked to have my number removed. I want to file an official complaint.

Anyone know who this is?
