After responding to yellow envelope stuck on my door I got a cancellation notice from my insurance company because my property was vacant!  Bicycles, pet dishes, grass cut and you can see through the front door!  Walled Lake Credit (BAC) told my insurance company house is vacant....and charged me $90 for the privilege.  B*****ds.

I've gotten several phone calls from 888-204-1405 (other numbers associated with 888 number :
800-669-6654/6650/6607)  and two loan modification packages via fedex from.  the name and address associated with the above numbers is : WALLED LAKE CREDIT BUREAU LLC. 11802 Ridge Parkway, Ste. 100 HRM, Broomfield, CO 80021 and Bank of America, NA.  These are debt collectors supposedly retained by Bank of America and is listed on the RIPOFF REPORT along side Bank Of America for filing false claims against homeowners regarding non-payment and sending out Borrower Response Packages requesting financial information. I should note that all paper work looks authentic.  I should also note that Bank of America claims to not have a relationship with this company, but the recorded messages always mention that it is collection agency working on behalf of BofA.

Same yellow envelope was handed to my daughter a week ago..  Funny thing they don't have a mortgage with BOA or Country Wide.  They bought the home in short sale some 4 years ago...they have a clean title search not done once but 3 times with no BOA lean listed....now these low life financial people try to scare a young couple into paying someone elses debt!  We called them and threatened to get a lawyer, they back tracked real quick.  Their current mortgage company is taking care of the situation....

Are you still living in the home now? I am in a similar situation as I've lost my job and have been unable to make mortgage payments for nearly 2 years now. I received a letter saying that I was going to be evicted. I've tried to find out if Bank of America has actually filed the suit against me and I cannot find any evidence to say that they have. Is this similar to what you experienced?  In any case you seem to know what is up. If 1-800-669-0102 is a legitimate no. for the foreclosure department for BofA, then why are they calling people who aren't in foreclosure? I tried applying for a loan modification and was turned down because I'm up-to-date on all my payments.

No one is obligated to hand out sensitive, personal information to individuals or businesses who refuse to provide verifiable identification. It would be dangerous to provide your SSN to unknown persons who may or may not be affiliated with your bank. If they are authorized personnel, they should be able to provide some type of documentation of their authority (whether they're independent contractors or whatever).

For my job I was attempting to contact Countrywide Home Loans to to verify foreclosure on a property so we would know who to notify about the house being substandard.  The woman told me she could not talk to me about the loan so I asked for their foreclosure department.  She gave me 800-669-6652.  When I call it is a recording saying "Thank you for calling Full Spectrum Lending. If you know your party's extension you may dial it now or remain on the line for assistance." After 10 seconds it hangs up on me.

Just today two people (man and woman) came to my driveway. First the fat man came up and didn't identify himself and started asking questions. This pissed off my husband and created a massive arguments. The women gets out of the car to try and explain who she was. By this time, I, the wife, came outside to see what was the problem. I asked for ID and questioned why were they not dressed in business attire or something professional if they wanted to discuss business. They had no explanation and handed me a strip of paper turn from another piece of paper. The stated they were independent contractors. She said we are not her about your mortagage. We just want to see if anyone lives here. It's evident someone lives here... their cars in the driveway and the lawn is kept not to mention we are their everyday! The paper she gave us said: Please call: Contact Loan Servicing 800 6690102. An independent property inspector visited your property today for BANK Name: Your Mortgage Company. She apologized for not being professional although she was dressed in skinny jeans and a tank and he was dressed in faded shorts and a top to match. I also got into a heated argument with both of them. I took down their license plate. I think this might be some twisted thing by B of A because the mortgage is up to date. I have all the paperwork. B of A was contacted and this trashy woman said they have no idea how much the mortgage is and has a lot of stuff to do. This is the 3rd time to my knowledge someone has come by my home. Almost each time they are getting cursed out since they do not know how to identify themself properly and come on my yard acting as if they are the law! If this is legit, they need to have a higher education and sense because if I'm angry,  I'm pretty sure someone else is even angrier and will be kicking their a**!

These "people" are independent property inspectors.  They are just doing their jobs.  The bank sends out requests to a inspection company, and the inspection company sends out inspectors.  Their job is to verify that the household is occupied and not abandoned and that it is not being trashed.  I used to be one of these inspectors.  ALSO, for those of you who think they are tresspassing, the BANK owns your home, not you, unitl you have it paid off.  Its the same as a vehicle, if you don't pay, they send a repo agent to collect.  Its the same as a house, but they can't just pick up the house and take it.  Give these people a break and let them do their job.  Dont be so paranoid that they are "thugs."

These same people have come to my home several times  taking PICTURES SEVERAL TIMES.TThey  taraspass on my  property i am a very sick elder lady with many major medical issues and do not need this harrassment

I got a message at work that said "please call 1-800-669-6654, we are a collection agency.".  When I called the number, the only options were to enter a social security number and zip code.  I have heard of this scam.  As a reminded, if anyone gets a call from a creditor, call the company at a number that you have on file.  Not one that is left on a voice mail.

it's not a scam. it is countrywide's collections department. they have to be vague with the message because of the sensitive nature of the call. if you get a call from that # it means your mortgage payment has not been received.

If you call back, you can't talk to a real person and all you are supposed to do is enter your SSN and zip.  Wrong, wrong, wrong.  Don't do it.

They called me and asked me about how i was doing with my loan for my home??????I RENT my home!!!! So I tried calling back and the system took me trough the dog and pony show.Finaly spoke with a rep. they could not help me and then transferd me to customer service.I held on the phone for about 20 min and was hung up on.This happend three times.I then called once more ordering to speek with a supervisor to find out what this is all about.Once again they hung up on me .(((COWARDS)))

I got message at work "it's  business please call back anyone can help" when I called it was an automated system and it identified itself as "Loan Administration"  and " A collection agency" gave me the SS# and Zip options only ....... I hung up!

We are on a home mod program and the same older fellow with permanatly disabled plate on his car with his wife in the passenger seat keeps coming here with that piece of paper and has the balls to be nice about it! thats a charge everytime he shows up! tacking on more money! its bad enough that were strugling and this guy is making a profit from other peoples hardships! With a new car yet!

This is not a scam.  I called them and a woman told me that it was the number to their foreign division. She gave me a different number and said I should call that.  
I'm assuming it was an inspector, because we are behind.  But it's quite the shady letter!!!
