scammers pose either as elderly or veteran assistance.  We keep getting their calls on our reservations desk line !!   so definitely scammers.

The southern drawl of the man asking for the former owner (from 4 years ago!!) was a give away. Said she was not in the office, and yet he Insisted he was a "CONCERNED CITIZEN" and continued to ask for the woman.   IT IS A SCAM OF SOME  TYPE.  When I insisted she was not here, he asked for the "lady of the house"  Heck, this is an OFFICE !!!!

This number has shown up in my digital directory. I did not put it there and I don't want to receive such calls from someone that I do not know.  We sleep in the day and work at night and these calls are a pain in the kester.  They will not leave a message and hang up after three calls (typical of solicitors).

I am pretty sure it is the VA calling.  I made the mistake of donating money last year and now they pester me.  I finally got caller ID and don't answer any calls I don't recognize.  They never leave a message.

They call about once every day and ask for my husband.  They won't leave a message.

Received a call from this number at 4:10pm EST, a man asked for me by full name, I inquired who was calling and he said "Mark Delonga"(sp?).  He asked who he was speaking with.  I said first tell me where he's calling from and he said "St Louis".  I asked from what company and he rudely said he needed to know who he was speaking before telling me, so I laughed and hung up.

they call me about 3 times aday and either hangs up when I answer or dont answer and then just hangs up.

Called today, my 8 year old picked up.  According to her they said our phone had been disconnected.

Recieved a call this evening. They called wanting a "donation" for the Veterans Administration for costs associated with health care, drug rehabilitation, and other needs. Told them I had already given donations for the year. Asked them to send me information and was told I would receive within 3-5 days. Doubt it.

You can call 800-670-4919 from your unblocked phone and go through their polite system to have your number removed from their call list.

Well, it's 2010 and they are at it again. Scammers.....no doubt.

Upon picking up, we got a recording saying 'due to the high volume of calls, please hold to be connected'... veteran's assistance something-or-other.

We get this call every single night, we never answer it.  Tonight (sounder like an older gentlemen) kept saying "Marblehead, you there, hahaha, Marblehead, you there?"  Odd, huh?  I dialed the above number for the do not call list, hope it works!

I have been getting messages on my home phone for the past three months that sound like someone's phone had dialed our number accidentally. Sounds like someone is driving and forgot the phone is on. I assumed it was my husband's or my mom's phone. I dialed *69 and I got that it was from (800) 670-4912.

I too went to the number as shown on previous message to get my number removed. After hearing several minutes of other options was then directed to the Phone Number Removal site.At least all contacts on this automated site are easily understandable and done in a profession and polite manner. Will see how long it takes for the removal to take affect!

I get at least one call daily from this 1-800-670-4912.  I've never answered it----but it is annoying just to get up and go and see its this "PAIN IN THE A** ID" again!!!

They have called 3 times a day for four days now. Veteran Assistance shows on caller ID. Never leave a message. Not legit as far as I'm concerned.

happened again today, let Veterans assistance know about it. being a disabled vet I am concerned about this, its either a scam or they truly are using non-professional people.

Got a message on my machine, heard a cacophony of background chatter, obviously a call center. After several seconds of that, the actual caller (male) laughed maniacally and hung up (creepy). Dialed *69, got the number, Googled it, found this site. Decided to take the lead of others here and called the number, voice identified organization as "Veterans Assistance Foundation" and said to call 800-670-4919. Called it, followed automated instructions to be removed. Fingers crossed.
