The guy used the name Jim Brown when he called from 1-800-678-0507.

I received the same call the same day also. I was skeptical about the call because the caller left a message but did not say my name and stated that criminal charges would be brought against me as well. A week later I got a call from a different number the same man's voice but he was using a different name  saying that I had been approved for a loan in which I never applied for  2 days later I got an suspicious looking e-mail about the same loan but it was addressed to multiple e-mail addresses besides mine.

It's simple.  THEY ARE INDIAN SCAMMER /EXTORTIONISTS.  CRIMINALS.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!  

A call blocker might be your best bet.   Nobody from India is going to arrest anybody in the US.

Don't pick up on phone numbers you don't recognize .   Do not call these people back.  Do not communicate with them in any way.

These low life bottom feeding imbeciles are as stupid as it gets and so are you if you fall for their bullsheeeeeet. "Captain Thomas Brown" left a message on my answering machine in his inimitable Hindu accent. Hahahahaha. Next time this mouth breathing moron calls, he gets greeted with my rendition of The Who's rock anthem "Won't get fooled again" played at maximum volume and maximum distortion on my Fender Stratocaster guitar. Booyah!!!

Received two phone calls from 800-678-0507 number and the person said they were from federal investigations department am that I was a prime suspect and to give him a call back before they arrest me.

this just happened to my mom we just listened to the message i looked the number up and it comes out of NJ i dont know if that helps at all he had a heavy accent and pulled the same bs so hope it helps it comes from NJ

Got this message 2 days in a row, could barely understand them on voicemail! stupidly called the # back thinking it was important before I Goggled the # and found this site. Thank God I got their answering machine and now I know to let them arrest me if they call back . Thinking about leaving them a bunch of messages that you cant understand and telling them I am with al-Qaida and I know where they live!!!

Just got the same call this afternoon.  The thick accent and background noise, along with the pauses every time I asked a question raised my scam alert eyebrows.  When I asked him to spell the supervisors name, he didn't get it and I had to s-l-o-w-l-y repeat my question!  He started to give me the name in emergency code...A as in Adam, but it seemed like someone was coaching him as there were so many pauses after I asked a question!  He never made it all the way through the name!  I told him I would have my local police department call to investigate the problem and he hung up!  I hope that takes care of any future calls!  If I receive any future calls I will be definitely taking it to the local authorities, and may still do so now!!!!  Just sick that people try to do such harm to people!  Glad to find this site!  I won't answer unknown calls next time!

She did lose money,but not from credit straight cash. She was scared n didn't know wat to do. She lost out. I'm very pissed off,n this so called officer keeps calling. And wants more money. She don't know wat to do.

Just dealt with this number but thankfully it disconnected (thank you Do Not Call registry?; unsure if that is why) after dealing with similiar numbers.

Scratch that. Report to the link listed by CWG 40. Has she lost any actual money to this scam ? If so, also file a report with local law enforcement and place fraud reports on her  credit reports if she gave out any information.

My gf got a fone call from that yesterday n they said that she was a primary suspect.
wanted $300 for a processing fee. Then they called her back saying she had to $500 or the Marshall's wood cum arrest her. Wat can she do can someone please help.

I have also received calls from this number and like many, I don't answer if I don't have the individuals number stored in my contacts.   The voicemail that "investor frank martin" left was basically the same rehearsed message that him or a fellow scammer in crime has left on many of your phone's as well.   I had to listen to the message several times to understand what he was trying to say due to his poor attempt at the English language. Supposedly there is a federal complaint against me and I should call him back or he can't guarantee what will happen to me.  Im still waiting by the door at home with my overnight bag and pacing the floor with bated breath at work (since he said they might come to my place of employment) for them to come take me to court to face these federal fraud charges.  He ended the call with thank you (my name) and have a blessed day.  

And just another Fyi .... I have also had several missed calls from 911 . The first time I noticed a missed call I thought I had accidentally hit that option on my cell phone when I was frantically digging in my purse for my keys.(since even when the screen is locked, 911 can still be dialed) So to make sure everything was ok I called a friend at the local sheriff's office and asked if she had tried calling me because I had accidentally dialed 911? She looked on the 911 log and my phone had not called into 911. About 15 minutes later a call from 911 came in on my phone again.  I answered this time and it was basically the same type of call about I was going to be arrested in the next 15 minutes at my address, which the only part of it he had correct was the zip code.  I had him repeat the address more than 5 times because I didn't understand any part of it and I had never even heard of the name of the street he said I lived on. I finally agreed to that address and told him as soon as I finished my lunch I'd go out on the porch and wait for the police to take me to the courthouse and that I was really looking forward to meeting him. That 911 number hasn't called since.

Received 8 calls in a row from this number.  Person with heavy accent said they needed to hear from either myself or my attorney and if not, good luck to me!  What a bunch of crap. Obviously, a scam of some sort.

Just got the call on my cell phone. Same thing heavy accent, so called federal investigation against me. I went to my local precinct & they said they are investigating. If you gave them money then you can have something on record in case. I also called our tax accountant & H&R Block to verify that something odd was going on. Call the IRS @ 800-366-4484 to report these people or go to web site @ www.tigta.gov then click on red button on top right corner. Also call IRS @ 800-829-1040 (for peace of mind) to check if you owe the IRS any money. I did, now I can relax knowing I investigated before I did anything I might regret. Hope this was helpful.

Just got a call saying I had federal charges against me that he was an officer. I couldn't understand him  I told him I was going to call my local police department he called me an f-ing  bi*** and said have fun rotting in prison

Greater Sacramento area.  The thick accent is known as a "New Deli accent," and these calls are most likely coming in from call centers in India.  I've been getting calls from this number for over a month, and they've never left a message.  Today, however, there's a sick family member in my house so I picked up.  The first fella told me there was a federal complaint against me and he was transferring me to his supervisor.  I could tell he was looking for an argument from me, but I thanked him and waited for the transfer.  Mr. New Deli number two, said he was an officer, Josh Carter.  He wouldn't tell me what the complaint was, but then he started calling it a charge.  I asked what the next step was and for some reason he said I was facing 17 months in federal prison.  I asked if I should get my credit card number or bank account number, but he said, "Ok, Good bye," and hung up!  I don't think they quite understand how to play this game.  So bummed out.

Same call I got today I kept asking questions for what state completely wrong on the state I live in then said it was for the taxes for my utilities, so my response well none of the utilities are in my name well it is for the government services you receive nope don't get those either it was funny he was getting upset with me and I kept the call going and then said well I can not pay for something unless I see detail info he really got up set and said they will be here to arrest me and then I will have to pay 45K.  I am still waiting for the police and attorney to come to my door.

Saw the number pop up didn't recognize so I ignored it. Left me a vm. Called the number back after reading some of these posts. Said his name was john wright. He Asked me my name--did not give it to him. Asked him what company he worked for--he said "I'll I have to call u back later. " IGNORE IT

I received the same call today stating I had  comitted a fed crime and needed to take immediate action or they would show up on my door step.  These scammers need to stop!

Got same message and I will be calling them back with a few choice words !

I was at work today and got a call from a very thick accented man. Told me I was a suspect of a crime and that I needed to call him back. When I did he said I owed the state $847 in state tax. I told I most certainly did not then asked him for his name number and adress of this business. He said you'll get it in the papper work he is sending to court. Then he hung up on me. My mother called back asked what state I owned for and he said what you don't know what state u live in? My mother said that isn't what I asked... what state? He replied with the same answer. My mother said  u don't know do u. Then he said F*** you F*** you.. then hung up she called back and said I know this is a scam and thus is pathetic, he then proceeded to say that I'm going to jail and that they are coming for me and I will have to pay a fine. Was deff a waste of my time while at work... very upsetting. But please be aware and now this is a scam. I talked to the cops and confirmed it. Hope this doesn't happen to more people. :(

My wife received the same call and could not understand a word so she gave me the phone and i start questioning mr.fbi agent james brown,  but he continued to say we have to call his supervisor or an fbi agent will be on our door steps in 2 hours, so i checked that nomber he called from and found out this site ,any way i am going to block that nomber
