They called my house and asked me to give a message to my neighbors.  They would not say what it was about.  They said that the company name was "Greentree" and that they were a "Servicing" Company.  The number that they left was 1-800-692-8469 ext. 55831 and the name is Shawna.  I did not pass the information on to my neighbor.

They are most likely attempting to extort money from your neighbor by using embarassment and harassment.  Don't take a message, don't even admit you have such a neighbor.  Hang up repeatedly, and don't bother to pass the info on.  It's a scam, and they figure by bringing others into it, they'll be able to get money from the other person.  You do not want to be part of the problem, and certainly don't help them with illegal activity.  Now is the time to take out your daily frustration, and in such a personally gratifying way; I suggest the air horn technique.  VERY satisfying.

I DO NOT APPRECIATE THIS STUPID A$$ IDIOTIC COMPANY CALLING ME REGARDING A NEIGHBOR - THUS LEAVING A MSG. FOR ME TO CALL THEM BACK WITH INFO FOR THEM.

They left a message saying that they were looking for someone I don't know. The caller identified herself as Anne Mormon. She said she was trying to get ahold of Dianna Sheldon. She said that I had been identified as a friend or relative. The number they called from was not an 800 number. It was 909-944-8486. I did not call back.

Got two messages from this number today, saying they were trying to contact a neighbor. Message was slightly different each time; one made it sound like it was a friend calling to make contact on urgent business; of course, this would be a bill collector.  I don't know these people and I'm not about to knock on their door and tell them to call a collection agency; not my business. Rep did not indicate the company he works for.

Shawn or Sean called from number 800-692-8469 ext. 55440  and stated that someone named Linda Souza had put us down as a "Family Reference". We did not return the call.

Some guy keeps calling and asks to give my neighbor a message to call him back, with no other identifying information.  I had to call the number he listed, and play around with the operating system, just to get the name "Greentree"

I got a call from "Dan" saying that they were looking for a family member named "Nana Emanuelle Lorenzana".  He says to call him back at extension 55192.

Brandon leaves voice message on machine several times, using MY first name, my husband's first name AND my son's first name, as if he is a friend.  He then requests that we give his name and number to an elderly neighbor with the message that it is "very important" since it is about his land.  To me, this is too much information to give a neighbor, even if you do not know exactly who you are talking to or what it regards.  It appears to sound like a threat against our neighbor, but since it is NOT OUR BUSINESSS, we do not feel it is OUR place to contact the neighbor for them.  Professionals can handle this type of business without threats.
