It was rather simple I called my local Attorney Generals office explained that I had called several times to be removed from their list and all they did was hang up on me. The attorney Generals office asked for their number and mine and simply made a call to them. No more calls Hell Yeah!!!!

I too, have been getting the same call from a Jay Moore with DataLink to call him back at 1-800-693-1949, morning, noon and night at work.  I work for the Federal Government so I will report these calls to my supervisors and let them know that these are harassing and very annoying phone calls.  I called the number back and some lady answered (with an accent) and asked me did I want to talk to an agent about debt reduction or consolidation and I said no but I want to be taken off their list to stop calling because they are calling a Federal agency and this witch hung up on me.  I called right back and got a guy by the name of Jay (also with an accent) and I asked for Jay Moore and this guy said he wasn't available but he would be able to help me. I said okay then, I wanted help with him calling to take me off his list for them to stop calling me and he said okay. He was getting ready to hang up and I said hold on a minute, let me give you the number to stop calling because you are calling the Federal Government and I gave him the number.  No sooner than I said the last digit of my phone number, he said he got it and I hung up.  I am under the impression that he did not write down the number and they will keep calling.  If you notice when you call, the ring tone is like it is an international call.

Same thing, time after time!  On a teenager's cell phone!  Also look out for 1-800-715-4584, 1-800-716-4271.  These are just the ones from the last week.  I called the FTC, they took a report, but didn't sound promising.  The recommended calling my State Cusumer Protection Agency. I have been hung up on every time I asked to speak to a supervisor or get on the do not call list.

Idiots! Jay Moore, Sally Moore, Sam Abbot, These clowns keep calling me. I have no credit card debt (I pay my bills in full and on time)I do not need their program. I call them back and get elevator music or a recording telling me that all their representatives are busy and asks me to leave name/number. I got a live (non-english speaking) person once, when I asked to speak to someone who spoke english and who was authorized to remove my phone number from their database they hung up on me.

Come to think of it, your caller ID number with the 213 area code was the number I was given when I *69'd the call that hung up on me a couple days back.

I got a call this morning at home:

Sally Moore from Datalink Direct at 800-715-4584.....yada yada yada...imperative....yada yada.

So I called back....told the person that asked me if I would like to speak to someone that I wanted my number removed, and before I could get those words out of my mouth I was hung up on.

Called back at work....and when I said yes about speaking to someone, the same lady asked how much debt I had, I said none, so I got hung up on again...

Will call back yet again....

I returned a call from a Sam Abbott. The girl asked if I had debt. I told her yes. She asked how much. I told her $600k! She asked what it consisted of. I told her a 20% APR mortgage and a Ferrari for my 16 year old son. She said those don't qualify for the debt relief because they're secured debts. She asked if I had nay credit cards. I responded. Yes, Ferrari's are expensive to maintain, and Pedro wasn't too cheap to ship in from Mexico. She asked what I had racked up in CC debt, I told her about $3.2M on my AmEx black card. She said I exceeed the programs limits, and asked if I wanted to use part of that debt for the program. I asked "If I don't have qualifying debt, can you at least give me a good time". She said no. I said "Well, since you do me no good, and vice versa, stop calling me please". My response was "F*** YOU!... click!"

I played along with the scam for a bit, told them I had 20,000 dollars in credit card debt. They got all happy and wanted my name, phone number, etc... Of course I gave them a fake name. Then they want to transfer you to an supervisor, which wants your all your information. This is nothing but a attempt to get your personal information so they can run up your credit cards, they want the bank names, credit card numbers, exp date, CVV code, you name it. Mothers maiden name for verifaction and they have your information. If any of you have given them this information better check your credit report and report your card number as stolen or something, I am sure you will find your card is max'd out (if not already) and your credit shot to hell.

They are over sea's so it will take the feds a bit of time to shut down the number, if you call the number notice the bad connection, almost everytime.

We get at least one a day.  These go to our voicemail to email service so it costs us about .30 each time they call.  All requests to be removed from their list has been fruitless.  We are also listed on the national do not call registry.  These guys are doing illegal stuff.  There should be a voice mail spamming service that can shut centers like these down when the legal road does not work -- there certainly seems to be enough complaints and people willing to help.
Here is the message word for word:

"This is Jay Moore with Data Link Direct at 1-800-693-1949.  I'm calling regarding your credit card balances and the minimum payment that are going up.  It is imperative that you give me a callback.  You now qualify for a debt reduction allowance program, again my name is Jay Moore and my phone number is 1-800-693-1949.  It is imperative that you give me a call."

Call this telemarketing scammer and have some fun....

My favorite so far - called them, said I had to switch to another phone, put on hold, called again and did a conference call with two of them.. took them about 25 seconds before they figured out they were talking to each other....freaking morons...
When they ask how much your debt is, tell them some crazy number like 750,000, cause your in the New York gov't and the call girls are expensive...it's fun to hear them get frustrated and hang up on you....
The 800 number should be free.
