This number calls at least four (4) times a week and this has been going on for two (2) years.  It's an automated debt collection service posing as an attorney's office.

Left a message on my phone for someone named Donald Berger.  Trying to collect a debt from the Law offices of Mitchell and Kay.  I don't know any Donald Berger and after looking up the number and seeing that they call people who are not the people they say thier looking for all the time, i called them back.  Told them it was the wrong number and not to call me anymore.

They call everyday about collecting a debt. I pick it up when they do call and tell them they have the wrong number yet they will always call back the next day.

This company keeps calling my neighbor and leaving voicemail messages that my account is in collection and has been turned over to their law firm. I do not have any accounts in collection. The calls to my neighbor are very embarassing and should be illegal.

I have on my cell phone a message: as follows this is for a debt collection call 1-877-247-6116 and reference number given was 81505018.

1.) I called this number and got the run around by first the woman who answers the phone.  after several questions she turned my call over to ARTHUR. I gave him my cell phone number where the call came in. Told Arthur that I don't know a Marcus Torres (he gave me this name and spelled the last name for me). After I told him I did NOT KNOW this man never knew him wouldn't know him if I fell over him all he would respond was Mam are you sure. I finally had to hang up..recalled and now talking to a supposedly Ron...explained to him and he asked me to listen to the message and get the number off of it and call this number back and report te number which is 81505018. I hang up listen to the message and it is as follows (see above message from 1-877-247-6116.)I call back with reference number and now this person asks why am I calling back with the number. they supposedly are representing Mitchell N Kay an attorney in NY. Called back and the woman would not give me the address which I can send a letter anyway through getting on line. ALL I am asking for is TAKE MY NUMBER OFF OF HIS FOLDER INFO. NO I don't know him, never knew him and as I said "put him in front of me and I still wouldn't know him.

Have been getting random calls for two years.  Today, I'm working from home and answered... they hung up.  I redialed and got a guy from India who would be pleased to remove me from their call list if I would provide them my cell phone number.  The ONE THEY JUST CALLED!  The ONE I RETURNED THEIR CALL ON!
I told him he wouldn't get anymore information from me - asked for a super and "they are all in a meeting.  All of them"
I told him I worked for the Federal Government (true)with the FCC (not true) and would personally file a law suit if they ever called me again and I wouldn't give them any personal information.  
The guy was from India and called me a "puppy" which I think might be pretty bad if you are from India.

These a-holes have been calling as per all the above replies. The person they are looking for used my phone number and has screwed lots of businesses. I have no sympathy for those companies, since they didn't make an atempt to learn the truth about the woman they are dealing with. One company is united renta ll and the other volkswagon. I just called back to the 800 number and gave them the reference number that was on their message. I spoke with someone with an indian accewnt. So it looks as if he has farmed out his calls. I told the guy that he is wasting his time and probably will not get paid for his efforts, since he will not be able to come up with kmoney. I asked that they get my name off their list. No response. Even though I live in Washington, I go to New York City frquently and if I can track Mitchell down, I will go to his office and work him over. As far as I am concerned he had better look both ways whenever he crosses the street. If this sounds likr a threat, it is!

no i got a call from1866-655-5826 these dicks wont stop calling even though i told them this isnt his number. i freaked on them they wake me up every day they call 6 7 times a day and never stay on the phone long enough for me to say anything its always that stupid if  this is mike scipack b***s***. i hate being woke up and i got some anger issues . if i find out were they are at i will go down there personaly.

I actually paid a debt and have tried for a month to get confirmation of payment. I called 4 times and was told, 'we faxed it', but I never got it.  All I have to say about this company is "no wonder NY has the reputation of unfriendly people and rudeness" if anything like the folks at Mitchell N Kaye. The face of the company, receptionists/operators, Allen and Keva couldn't be more unprofessional if you paid them. And their supervisor, Ms. Sanders, always in a meeting and her slogan, 'it's been done' yet nothing produced. I can't help wondering what their collection satisfactory rate is because if I owned this business, you know the saying, you get more w/honey than vinegar. If I was looking to collect debt after reading this I would look for a more professional, responsible and higher integrity company than Mitchell N Kaye. Is it true the fish rots from the head down?

I just got a call from this "firm." They used the following number: 888-647-5699. No one said anything when I answered the phone. It sounded like a couple of young kids in the background. Very strange.

Spaz why would you help a low life scum feeding crook? You really would give them the new number? I rate you a zero. This is purely surely a scam and you would actually give them a number to someone. Thumbs down for you.

I was told by a lady, their statement was the only confirmation that they would get until payoff I need to know how to get my money back!

This agency just put a lien against my bank account for a credit card bill from the early 1990's.  Is this legal?

I got a message on my phone from this number from a law office type collection agency.  I called it back, the people on the other end were exceedingly rude when I tried to tell them that it was my number now, but I had the other persons new number, she cut me off when I started to tell her the new number for that individual so screw them see if  I will help.  You know if they just had spent the three seconds listening to me I would have gave them the number.

Receive this call two to three times a day.

Got a call from some recording stating they were calling from Mitchell MK, trying to collect a debt, I know longer have any debt, so don't know who they are and won't bother to call them back either.

this collection company buy debts over 10years old ....which they can still pursure however can not be placed on credit bureau, which is very illegal.... fyi !

Yes I agree.  I just received a call today with the NEW number.  877-406-4895 and the same method as all the other posts.  They used my maiden name which of course caught my attention since I have been married for 4 years - thought it was odd.  I only listened to the message - did not call back.  

They want you to call an 877 number.  With all these bogus calls isn't there a way to make these people stop?  

I have seen listings on my credit report for the Palisades company and the Plaza Associates and always refused to pay.  I also have been called within the last few years to pay up on an AT&T bill from over 5-6 years ago.  I think these people have been doing this for years.  Each time they try to collect I let them know I do not have any debt and will not pay.  This is just wrong that they can prey on people.

I just reviewed all postings on this web cite. They are now using a new number, which is: 877-406-4895. They used the same method of operation by leaving a message on my voice mail, saying they needed to collect a debt, and to call the 877 number with a reference number. I have not called.

Kept calling to collect a bogus debt.  When I started calling them back (they have a live operator) and hanging up, they stopped calling!

Has left voice messages indicating that if I was person to stay on and listen, if not to hangup. If you aren't home you are not going to answer - a scam if I ever heard of one. We are not the person they are calling and have never heard of them. I will report them to the authorities for harrasment if they continue.

These people keep calling my house and the person they want I don't even know.  I keep telling them this and explaining to them that this is a new number and they still keep calling me.  They have even gotten NASTY and hung up on me.  I don't know what I can do to stop this.  They fill up my machine with messages, etc.

Left me VM indicating that if I was xyz person to stay on and listen, if not to hangup. I am xyz person so I listened. Message instructed me to call 800-573-2287 and to provide a control number that was left. I called, a woman answered the phone stating Mitchel MK law offices, I expressed that I had received a VM and control number and asked what was this in reference to, the woman asked to verify that I was who I said I was by providing my last 4 digit of my SS#, I asked her if she beleived that I was crazy or stupid (I don't know who I am speaking with I'm not giving any info and I suggest to all reading this to follow my lead). She put me on hold then came back on stating that this was in reference to a $361.00 debt that I owed. I was confused because all my debt is up to date and my credit is excellent. I asked what the debt was for and to whom did I owe it to, again she put me on hold. When she came back on she said "sorry sir but we will have to get back to you with more information". I have not heard back from them. I use a credit monitoring service to keep track of activity on my credit report, so far no activity from these nuckleheads. DON'T GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFO, thats what they want to run whatever scam they are running. Have a great day :-)
