Called my Fax line, recording, press 1 to lower interest rates.  When I asked who was calling she said "Financial Services" I asked where they were located, she said Atlanta.  When I asked the address of the company, she hung up.  Caller ID says it's a disconnected number

I got a missed call on my house phone. I have caller ID which tells me what calls and missed and who called me with the phone number to reach them. Now I was looking on the missed calls which I saw one of them from Florida. It says CALL CENTER FL on my caller ID and then 1-850473-1276. I went to call it back and I got the operator saying " We are sorry the number you have reached was missed dialed or if you feel this message is an error please hang up and try again". Well I tried it again and same operator. I have a feeling that it was a scam and someone was trying to get my personal information. Well the person called at 10:41 am in California on 8/11/08. I AM ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST.

Just got this call, 2008 Aug 08 337PM ET. When I asked the young woman is the name of this company "Consumer Services" (ha!), she hanged up. When I called 8504731276, the phone message says this is no longer in service.

This should be reported to the police, someone should trace them, and arrest them!  (This is extremely obvious as a dumb scam, but some poor trusting persons may still fall for it, sadly. These scumbags should not get even a penny, they should get jail.)

I have got this several times as well.  When you try to call back it tells you number is disconnected.  After some phishing of my own, the number
850-473-1276 is a Pennsacola number, but the company is actually in Tempe, AZ.  The name of the company is Alaskan Quality Services

850-473-1276 is a scam.  No message was left, caller ID said "Florida," and when I returned the call, it was not a working number that accepts incoming calls. I've been getting these types of calls since I applied for a home refinance.  Someone sold my information.  BE CAREFUL WHO YOU DO BUSINESS WITH OR YOU WILL BE SUBJECTED TO ANNOYING AND HARASSING CALLS.

The 850-473-1276 scam called. I have disabled my voicemail because I am tired of these unmitigated turds. Since I have been receiving calls from scam artists (Cancer Fund of America, etc) now when I get a phone call from a number I don't recognize, I look it up online to see whether it is a scam. The time they spend turning blue in the face waiting for someone to pick up here is time some other person is spared the misery of their vile company.

Call is a scam thanks to a former friend. He and his wife are SSSSOOOO stupid they fall for these time share (free) vacations. They gave my name out to these jerks and now they are selling it themselves. Got a call from one yesterday and she didn't want to hear NO so I told her what I thought of time shares and those who sell them. Needless to say she hung up rather quickly. I must remember to send my former friend and his wife a poison fruit basket for christmas.

The same as everyone, "this is your credit card company" (my company doesn't know it's name??) "Press 1 to speak with an agent" (about lowering rates)
"press 2 to stop receiving offers"  - it was on ANS machine.  Google first, don't call back next.

Report these calls to your State's Attornies Office. They will take the proper course. Keep in mind that Charities and Financial Institutions are not covered by the "do not call" list. I have received a few calls from this same number but there is never anyone on the other end of the line. They are probably using automated dialing and which ever number picks up first gets the caller, the rest are disconnected.

If you don't have an old reported lost/stolen card then use one of these numbers listed by PayPal as good but fake cc# that will test as good but are fake as hell. May get them busted too! http://tinyurl.com/22st39

Just remember to use a real expiration date (mmyy) in the future. Pick something noteworthy and ironic like 0911. Security code is a 3 digit toally made up number: 666 maybe?

If they ask for the toll-free number on the back find it here:
•MasterCard
(800) 307-7309

•American Express
(800) 528-4800
Gold Card members:
(800) 327-2177

•Visa
(800) 336-8427

•Diners Club
In the U.S.: (800) 234-6377
Outside the U.S.: (303) 799-1504

•Discover
(800) 347-26

Stick it to them good!

OK folks these idiot criminals are using a CID SPOOFING SERVICE. They are using a Pensacola FL residential line that has long been disco'd. That way you dial back a dead #. The only way to really dial them back is with *69 (it removes the fake CID). Also 'Call Tracing' *57 will give authorities their REAL number!

Also if you have a 800 or PBX (company) line WITH CID give them that number to call you back on. It will reveal their true number.

Also NEVER give out your active cc#!!! But if you want to play a really nasty trick back on them then just act like your playing along and give them an old reported lost/stolen cc# you should have thrown away years ago. This will get them busted immediatley if they try to use it.

Here is a sting SSN that will nail them IMMEDIATLEY if used: 457-55-5462 (Lifelock.com Todd Davis from LifeLock dares any thief to try and use it without massive penalty.)

I received a call from this number on August 4, 2008 at 3:28 pm.  The gentleman on the other end was named John.  My husband received a call from the same group hacking into Lakeside Inc. phone company and got on obsence b***h on the other end.  I did record what part of the conversation I was able to get, which is how I was able to get his name.   He said his name was John with Card Services.

I saw this number on my caller id several times and decided to google it, for two reasons. First I didn't recognizethe number  and secondly I thought it was distanct realtives on vacation needing money so I am glad I didn't answer the call.  What ever happened to the do not call list?  My number is not even published anywhere. I am sick and tired of this and I agree with 100% of everyone who made a comment concerning this number.

The automated teller told me to dial 1 regarding one of my credit cards. A teller came on and when I asked what this was about, she said she coundn't help me until I gave my name and number calling from. I did and she came back and said I qualify for lower rates if I have at least one credit card over $3k in debt and another in good standing. I told her i did not qualify and I am on the do not call list. She replied, "M'am, you just waisted my time." And hung UP!

Who has the right to come into my space and then tell me I am waisting their time. This is rediculous! I tried to call the number back and it's disconnected!

I got a call from this number a couple of days ago. They said they could lower my credit card interest rate. I asked what credit card company they were and the woman said "none"; but, that they could lower my rates on any card. I said "no, thank you" and "you need to remove me from your list". The woman's response was, "I don't need to do anything" and hung up.

When I politely asked for the name of their company, the person hung up on me.  I wish there was a way to make them stop calling.  I just reported them on the government's no call list site indicating that the company is not legit.  We all know they are criminals trying to scam someone.  Why can't we get them arrested?
