They are also calling several of my numbers using various recorded messages that all sound similar and giving different toll free numbers to call them back at. The recordings all use the word "imperative"...

When you call and ask to be removed from their calling list, they just hang up on you. I celled 10 times in a row and they did the same thing...

Then I asked "how I can get off their list" and they still hung up on me. Then I ask "why do you keep hanging up on me"... And they hung up on me... I guess unless you say "Yes" to speaking to a debt reduction specialist, they just hang up on you.... And they hang up fast too, they will not hold any type of conversation... They just hang up!

Also, they have not heard of the do not call list... They just care about it!

They have used these numbers to call them back at, 800-717-8057 & 800-693-7119

A**es!

Every time I call to ask them to remove my number they hung up. So I just went ahead and called them about 20 times, everytime I'd say stuff like "f$%k you" or  kept saying "what?  what?" to piss them off.  I mean if they have fun with us why can't we have fun with them.

I receive a call just about everyday... it's a recording stating his name is Frank thomas and that it's urgent that I call this number (1-800-717-8057) regarding my credit card debt and the minimum payments I am making... when I call the number to ask them to remove my number from their list , they hang up on me.  i have called them at least 10 times and have been hung up on when I ask to have my number removed...  this needs to be stopped.. I am getting these calls at my place of business and this is very disrupting.

This is the same voice and script as other numbers we have been getting recorded messages from since August of 2007.

How do get them to STOP?

Hello...The same people call me monthly.  I've called to try to get removed from their callers list, but they hang up right away.  I even answered yes once to see if I could get someone to talk to, but they still hung up on me.

I've filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) at http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html.  We should all put in complaints, hopefully enough complaints will make this stop.

Same story as above.  Frank Thomas, etc.  When you call back, they ask if you want to talk about debt reduction, if you say anything but yes, they hang up immediately.  I am receiving these calls at work at least once or twice a day, every single day.  Yesterday I pretended to be interested and at least wasted the person's time for two minutes until they asked me for my name.  It's ridiculous.

Has anyone else noticed that "Frank Thomas with City Point Express at 1-800-717-8057" is obviously the same person as "Sam Abbott with Executive Direct Solutions at 1-800-693-7119"?  The content of the calls is almost identical to calls from "Chris St. James with Broadcom at 1-800-210-2892", "Linden Hall with Channel Docs Information at 1-800-210-2731", and "Simon Phelps with Imperial Research at 800-210-3613".  All the calls mention alleged credit card debt and they all slur the words "the minimum payments which [are/aren't] going up", which is surely intentional, although I'm baffled what the point of slurring those words might be.

According to another poster at this website, all these calls originate with a shady debt collection agency called Lib Management, Inc.  But the Nigerian scam suggestion is also interesting. I have noticed that some posters here are beginning to report calls which, instead of asking the intended victim to call some 800 number, instruct him or her to visit some website which turns out to be a Nigerian scamsite.

Bugging our Attorney General's Office seems warranted, whatever the true explanation!  Let's shut down these operations, which are surely illegal.

I have had the same type of treatment, and results.  I went to the FCC website and filed a form 1088, with as much information as I could find.  My search for City Point Express only came up with a listing on a Nigerian web page ... hmmmm ... sound familiar?  We need to stop these guys/gals NOW.

I have -never- had any credit cards but I keep getting very similar calls from people claiming to represent a variety of companies, including "Broadcom", "Channel Docs Information".  In fact, according to other posts at this website, these calls may originate from LIB MANAGEMENT.  Does anyone know more?  Ideally, a case number with the FTC I can mention?

I got a call from this number and another one just like it. I called both of the numbers back several times and each time it was a different person, and all of them sounded like they were Chinese accents. I asked each one of them (I called them 4 times and got 4 different people each time) how they got my phone number and they said stuff like "well sir..." then they hung up. EACH TIME. One of them I asked them how did they know I had credit card debt and they said they were just random calls.

Each of the two messages I received were from Chris Young and Sam Abbot.

I got the same call and the first two times I called back to get my number removed, they hung up on me.  The third time, though, I said I would like to speak to someone.  I didn't say what I wanted to speak about.  When the person said I could speak with her, I asked if she was going to hang up on me if I said something she didn't like.  When she said no, I asked to have my number removed from her list, she verified the number, and said she would.  Here's hoping . . .

I received a call from a recorded solicitation and it goes like this "Hello, this is Frank Thomas and it is urgen that you call me right away about your credit card balances at 800-717-8057"

When you call that number, you can't get a work in edge wise... the have a script that they are committed to and if you ask for thei rname or ask to spoeak with a manager, they hang up on you. Their script is: "Hello and thank you for calling the Debt Reduction Program, would you like to speak with an agent about reducing your debt?"

I was hung up on at least 12 times today trying to get peoples names and or to a manager.
