Im dealing with this magazine company too getting calls telling me if i don't pay for 528.00 worth of magazines they will garnish my wages and i only get 28 hrs a week i fell for this stupid scam but why would u get charge 528.00 for stupid magazines and they keep calling me at my job which is pure bull **** if u ask me.

I have called daily to address the matter and their address is P.O. Box 1013 Great Falls, MT 59403 the guy who gave me the address was whispering that I asked for the address and they made him hang up the phone on me. When I called back they sent me straight to a recording. This I believe is a scam and I refuse to ever be caught in anything such as this again.

I recently went through this but did not know it was a scam I honestly received my magazines and knew i had a debt. I made a payment arrangement but cancelled because I did not have the money and so they waited several days and took it out of my account anyway and now I have a dispute with my bank who also has a dispute in with them. I closed my account so they will not be able to steal my money again. The lady told me they felt like i lied because I had money in my account and so they got it and no I will not receive it back and when was I going to pay the rest of the money. I blew up and I have called and harassed them myself because innocent people deal with this daily and if they can do others like this as myself than you best believe your a** I'm going to make them feel as If myself or others may be feeling.

This company, Credit & Collection Solutions, Inc. (CCSI), may or may not be a legitimate incorporated business but I can say they do not follow local, state and federal law concerning debt collection companies and practices.  I have been working with my daughter to get them to stop their collection efforts involving a supposed outstanding magazine subscription account provided to them by a third party.  I would suggest that you take a small amount of time to learn your state's regulations/laws on debt collection and also learn about your state's laws on telemarketing and whether "contracts" are valid.  In our case in both Texas and Indiana telemarketing companies are required to put all deals they make over the telephone in writing in the form of a contract that must then be sent to the customer for them to sign. If this is not done by the magazine subscription service then there is NO valid contract.  If the contract is not valid then there is no valid account to be sent to this CCSI.  Now, CCSI will tell you that they can't help you and that you have to talk with the company that sent your account to them.  In our case CCSI refused to provide us with any contact information on the magazine service (CRC of Virginia, also known as Community Reading Clubs of Virginia).  It took a bit of time but I found phone numbers for CRC of Virginia through the BBB and other sites where complaints are filed and was able to contact them.  CCSI has, most recently, refused to provide us with an address for their company where they can receive certified letters.  This is a violation of regulations, they have to provide you with basic information to contact their company.  IF you have a statement/bill/letter from CCSI you need to complete and mail them an "Initial Debt Collection Dispute" letter (Google this and you will see examples you can follow).  This letter needs to be sent to them immediately and send it "Registered" mail with the option of "Return Receipt Requested."  If you do this, when they receive the letter they have to cease contacting you until they provide proof of the debt being valid.  If you can, contact the original magazine subscription company because ultimately they need to pull your account away from CCSI and they need to shut it down/put a stop to all of this.  Remember, check your state laws about telemarketing and you will possibly find, like I did that there is no such thing in your state as a recorded phone conversation from a "telemarketing" call being a legal and binding contract/agreement. You can report CCSI as well as the magazine subscription company to the "Attorney General's Office" of your state that you live in as well as the Attorney General's Office of the state that CCSI/business resides in.  Additionally, you need to file a report with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

Please do not just "ignore" these people. Take some time searching the web and learn about them, learn the laws in your state and confront these companies and report their unethical and illegal practices. I will admit to a certain amount of pleasure when today we were informed by CCSI that they would not accept telephone calls from me about this matter and that all of their contact with us about this matter would only be in writing from now on! That is because they hung up the phone on me twice and my daughter once when we were trying to get their mailing address. Whatever the outcome, make the request that they send you, in writing, any resolutions that they say they will do (such as ending the collection process or whatever).  Wait about two months or three months and check your credit history to make sure that they have not put anything on your credit history.  If they have be sure to dispute this with the credit bureau.  They will have to answer the dispute and prove their claim and if they fail to then it should be removed from your credit report.  Do not just let these people take your money if you feel it is not a legitimate claim.

I have been dealing with this number and company for about a year now. Now they are looking for me to pay and are trying to force my hand in all of this. I am about to have my first baby soon and really need answers on what to do. I have been back and fourth on the phone with CCSi and have gotten no where. I am no longer able to get in contact with the magazine company any more and am still being threatend about court. What should I do?!

I also got those magazines they said I ordered but never did. I dropped my mac card and then started getting letters and letters saying that I owed hundreds of dollars. I don't want to pay but I'm afraid it will show up on my credit report. This is such a scam. I have read so many reports of people having the same thing happen to them. What can we do?? Pay? And when / if it happens again? I can't afford one magazine subscription let alone hundreds and hundreds of dollars of 'em.  Scam! Scam!

This is a collection agency calling my number almost everyday looking for someone I have know idea who.  When I tell them they have the wrong number and that I don't know a Terri and would they please stop calling my number - they hang up.  Their only reply between hang-ups is pay your bill!  I don't have a bill, I don't know who has a bill with them - there must be some way to stop them calling my number!!!!

Listened to voicemail after not answering. Was Susan Day (sp?) asking for my wife like it was her best friend. The location of the call to us was Dickinson, Tx.

OH and by the way when they call me the call from a # in my area and when i tried the 1800 and it didnt work i called the # the called me from back and they knew who i was before i even said hello

I Got a Letter from CSI Credit & Collection Solutions Inc.
This was sent to me last year
One Says URGENT NOTICE and on the letter say your lack of response to our previous notices and correspondence has forced us to send you this seven (7) day notice. I Got this, and i didnt know who they are but they didnt sand me any letter stating that they have my information.
Next letter i got it says that This is Demand for payment in full. What is "AVOID FURTHER COLLECTION AVTIVITY" mean. I dont know. Well this is the number 800-734-5408 and the person i talk to is Mariah Powers, than the manager i forgot but i think his name. What should i do? I dont know what to do?. I found out about this when i was looking for the web site for the collection agenice.

I too was scammed by the magazine company. They have many scams according to my research. They change their name very often to be hard to track down.
You can call the magazine company, who has many names such as CRC, IMA, PRS, LMA, DBA and threaten to report them to the better business bureau, and the General Attorney. I plan to tomorrow.
If that number does not work, try calling this number 757 490 9860

magazine company tricked me into giving my information.  I stopped paying and am now being called by this number saying that it is the laywers office and that I am being taken to court if I do not pay in 30 days....

My Wife was scammed into that also. We tried to get out befor the trail date, But was refiused anow getting lots of phone calls from 800-734-5408 and 804-318-4056.  We cancled our bank account requested the stopping of the maggazine's but they still harrass us now they say we bave to buy out the contrack of $1800.00. We also got a letter from a Attorney at Law letter out of Great Falls Montana. When I called the 800 number more then once they never even said the attorney's name. LIE LIE LEI

i have been going through the same thing and i decided i am going to see how far they are willing to go, considering all the things i have been reading on the internet about the attorney and magazine company. if they really come to pa and want to have a trial at my local magistrate, then maybe i will pay them. but i would really advise that no one send any money for anything considering all the scams they've pulled. plus, they have several company names because the one that i got was diamond subscriber services, or something to that effect. id like to know how this is legal. id also like to know how the nice lady i spoke to on the phone could be stealing money out of innocent peoples pockets. i firmly believe she will get hers and i hope its brutal.

Have recieved serveral calls saying I owe $900+ for magazine subscriptions - which I never subscribed to or recieved - we actually do not subscribe to any magazines and have not for years!  They claim they have me on voice recording and that they have a credit card on file for me.  I asked what address they have for me and they gave me an address I have never heard of.  The credit card number's last 4 digits also did not match any of mine which I told them.  One time they claimed to be from an attorney's office and another time from a collection agency.  They have threaten to send this case to court if I do not pay - that was a month ago and have not been summoned to court and they're still calling.  They once said they had me down as a dental hygenist which I am not - not even close!  I told them I was reporting them to the attorney general's office which I have just done.  The phone number they have is one I do not typically give out - it is our land line for emergency use only.

I have the same problem. But they are saying that i own $507. i never singed up for anything but they had my address my account info and they gave me info they said i said like a phone # and a name ( witch was my daughters name and she is 2 years old) the phone # was for her and she is my best friend they said then they gave me another name and # the was the guy who lived next door to me at the time and they said i told them that was my father. im not sure what i should do. should i pay them. Has anyone got in trouble for not paying yet? let me know what has happened to u.

They have been calling me for the past three months, asking a my name right off the bat w/o giving any info about themselves.  They have been threating to take me to court and call the police on me over 400 dollars a stranger owes them.  I informed them several times, that I'm not XXXXX and to stop calling.  I've even talked to the supvs.  One told me you have to call 4 times and request your number be removed before they'll do it b/c they know people lie.  I informed her I called a dozen time to stop the calls and she said it was never recorded or wrote down that I called before.  I told them I was 1) recording converstation and 2) I had lawyers and they gave me the following: po box 1013, great falls montana,  59403.  Which is crazy since their direct phone number 504-273-6950 is out of south louisiana.  Things that make you go hmmmmm!  P.S.   I've not gotten one call from a real lawyer.  Probally empty threats.

this company has a man named Chuck P who calls and asks for someone whom I have never heard of. are they stupid? do they not pay attention to the greeting on my phone?! He idiot, Curtis Jackson does not share my phone number

I called the company after I seen the number on my caller ID and they wouldnt even give me the name of the company.  IHe said that he couldnt give me the name of the company until I gave him my name and after going back and forth with him, I hung up...

they told me to go to court in Tennessee and i live in nh and i told them my father was a lawyer and we will be there tomorrow and they stopped calling my house but i occasionally get calls on my cell. i would ignore it i even had my bank do a fraud thing and they never replied to the bank on weather or not i did order these supposed magazines and i was refunded in full! so the moral of the story is threaten to sue them and they will stop trying to "sue" you

I also am in this situation...they are threatening me saying that they will send me to court...I just wanna know if they've sent people to court and what was the outcome...are they a scam or not ?...this would relieve a lot of stress for me if they are...Please someone get back to me ASAP

i didnt pay any attention to the letters until my husband said its probably fraud cause they are saying thta i owe the same amount that i owed it last time... these people are fraud and they need to be stopped.. i am a computer major and i looked into every crack about these people. ALL FRAUD!!.
my husband and i called all the numbers that they gave us and they all take us to the same voice same company. the companies are Fausto G. Turrin and CSI Credit and Collections Solution INC.

I called the state of Montanna I finaly got the attorney on the phone Turrin Fausto G Attorney  406-452-4622   He anwsered the phone himself stated about a magazine company collections.  Then gave me a Number to a man in charge. Scott 406-450-5556 None of this sounds right. You cancle but they want you to pay no matter what the full amount. Something has to be done about this
