Spoke to them for awhile, still not sure if it was a scam. They knew a bit about our company, but were wrong about our Microsoft licensing. So I'm guessing they're advertising for a Microsoft licensing partner, or collecting data to sell to Microsoft licensing partners. You can safely ignore these calls.
In response to "Works at Microsoft" - email addresses starting with a v- means they are work for a company that does work for Microsoft. They are not Microsoft employees.

I talked to Patrick Ellis for a while at 1-800-756-0364 x-742.
He does work at microsoft: v-paelli@microsoft.com
His job is to be a resource to us and help us choose the right licenseing.
Like if you wanted to setup Terminal services he could tell you what licenses you should get.
He is not a salesman and does not sell anything.

Received call from Michael D. Said he worked for Microsoft and wanted to spend 20 to 30 minutes cunsulting with us on how we bought our MS licenses. Told him we were a Gold partner, and he backed off and offered to send "leads" our way.
