I once had a subscription to PC Doctor.  I received an email from them in March reminding me it was time for renewal.  I did not renew.  Now (June 10 2012) an item for $308!! has appeared on my credit card from Maidenhead Collections.   I have complained to PC Tools.  Somebody is scamming us.

I have the same thing, 20/1/12 I had a company called Maidenhead Global Collect debit an amount of $708.00 from my business account! The bank are in the process of refunding me and changing my card! Very frustrating!

I had 7748283686237......must be related to ezetop(which I have never used or heard of) charges on my debit card....thankful for the smart, fast, working BBT employees for blocking my card or they would have drained my account.

I had the same issue. I was also substracted 1599 AUD from my account with the note 'Maidenhead' Global Collect GB. I never authorized this transaction.

How could they obtain my VISA-number. Spyware?

I am a person that likes to look at my statements to make sure the charges made to my card was made by me.  I noticed that this month, I did have unauthorized charges from Maidenhead Global Collector GB for almost $300.  I was not contacted by any company, the charges just showed up.  I contacted my credit card company as well as looking up this company and they told me that they had closed my account and was issuing a new card.  The thing that struck me funny was that they had already closed my account prior to my call which leads me to believe that most likely other people are being hit by this same bunch.  Check your accounts and watch out.

They automatically rebill you after 6 months if you downloaded the PC Tools anit-virus program. Do yourself a favor and avoid it at all costs. Just another internet scheme that is effective b/c people don't read the fine print(myself included). Call this number(1-800-999-2734) and they will cancel the subscription. I believe it is run by a 3rd party company called Reg.net. Hopefully this saves someone from doing all the research I had to do to get this cancelled.

Same thing happened to me today--automatic renewal on my credit card for $29.95. When I called the number you guys suggested, and when it finally answered, they hung up on me!  *)($*@*!

Interesting a company calling themselves "Spy Doctor" would be scamming and spying like that...

Received a charge for $29.99 on my bill and when I called, they were very apologetic and issued a refund.

This phone number came through on my Mastercard bill.  They are associated with "Spyware Doctor"  I have not used Spyware Doctor for years, but they keep trying to bill me $89.97 per year without authorization.  I have had words with them before, and thought the matter was taken care of, but it isn't.  Mastercard is putting a block on PC Tools.  They are VERY dishonest.  Someone is going to have to deal with them one way or another.  They are taking many people to the cleaners!!

I called the 800 764 5784 number about an a transaction on my billing cycle of 29.99.. waited for about 20 minutes but the guy on the phone was really nice and issued me a refund and canceled my subscription renewal.  I don't mind finding errors like this as long as they make it good.

I think I may have gotten an unindentifiable phone call that I hung up on because of poor hearing. I said I can't hear what you are saying and hung up. If it was for Spy Doctor, as others report, I had no reason,
and did not, place an order for it. How they got my credit card number is beyond me. Apparently it is a
widespread scam, as there are 20 letters on the computer with the same complaints. How is it that a
company can get away with something like this without someone taking some action to forestall more of the same?

I have no idea how this company got our credit card information.   We had a charge of $95.76 on our statement.  When I called the number they agreed to remove the charge, but could not explain how they came upon the credit card information used to make the charge.

I received a charge on my bill for $39.95 as well.  When I called.  I was on hold for almost 30 minutes, but when they answered, they identified that the charge was for a Antidoctor Spyware I purchased a year ago.  I didn't recall signing up for an automatic renewal, but they said I did.  That's not something I would typically do.  They were willing to take the charge off, but I kept it since it's my virus protection software.  I did have them take off the automatic renewal.  They were very accomodating.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I'm filing a dipute as as type right now.

They have put charges montly to monthly on my mom credit card charging $50.00-56.00 a month and i am about to be indited on charges that i am geting blamed for

Got the same $29.95 on my Visa from Dri*PcTools.com 800-764-5783. This is nothing I bought. Thanks for the 'head-up' that this is a bogus charge.

I got this on my bank statement 6 times INFO.RUNESCAPE.COM GLOBALCOLLECT GB accompanied by a charge each time of $5.95. my Bank is dibuting it and changing my information also as I did not open this account and cannot find the company that is associated with this email. it pulls up like 10 different companies when you google it depending on what parts you google.

I got charged 260 euros from "EFTELING BV"(http://www.efteling.com/EN/EN-Home.html) on my credit card.Efteling is a tourist and recreation Park in the netherlands dusch for kids. I never been in such place. "globalcollect.com" apparently did as wel the transaction. We had kind of the same probleme. I blocked my credit card. I'm even not sure to be refunded. Any advise to maximize chances to get the money back?

My credit card was just charged $15.05 for EZETOP.com from Global Collect too.  I had to cancel my credit card and request a refund.  For help, you can send an email message to: customerservice@ezetop.com

This is for spyware doctor...we purchased it like a year ago and they automatically renewed it.  I just called Cust Svc and they said they will refund.  I thought it might have been identity theft for a minute!  Great they are cooperative!

Someone tried to use my Bank Visa Debit Card to purchase 2 airline tickets , per the Bank one of the charges ( almost $1100 ) came from LAN Santiago de Chile and the other one from Global Collect GB .This was not a phone call from Global Collect , but a fraud attempt that had their name in.

I got charged $18 from www.ezetop.com global collect GB August 4th 09.I did not authorize this.I am quering this with my bank right now.Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening in the future.I usually purchase a lot with my credit card so I dont keep track of my purchases but I will fromn now on.

All these payments went via www.globalcollect.com they do not have an office in U.K. it is a Dutch company.
