Not a scam.  they are a company hired by Credit Card companies to handle longstanding debts that are not being paid.  They buy the debt from the credit card companies and collect for themselves. I dealt with them personally when I hadn't paid off my CIBC credit card for nearly 3 years.  The provided me a settlement offer which was approx. 40% of the actual debt I owed and it helped me clear my debt and regain my credit score.  Again, this is not a scam.  If they are calling you, it's likely because you owe someone money of some kind.  Take this seriously as the next step is a knock on the door fro the Sheriff's office with a rite in hand.

I got a call saying they were the company that redistributes numbers for cibc and td bank....I called visa they never heard of the company, totally a scam be careful out there

Got a call from these clowns. Same thing, encouraging us to call. Obviously didn't bother.

Called for an employee that has never worked for us. Told me it was gate corp.  When I called him on it saying that was a fictional company from Prison Break he hung up on me.

Got a message stating repeated attempts to try and have me contact them had failed, and as a VP advised me to call them right away.

I called the number goes directly to ext 6297. He said Gate corp. I asked what was Gate Corp., he said it was a company. No really!. He wanted my phone number I hung up on him.

Did you call back? What did they say. I have had the same message?
