Prank Call
They are calling again. Now they hang up when we answer. Scammers and nuisance callers are all they are.

Started calling about a week ago. Constant calls ever since. They are not understandable. Today, just now, we called the number and "John",  who claims to be with CitiBank, wanted the caller's credit card number. We knew it was a scam and said so. Told "John" that we were going to report them.  No one here has a CitiBank card. It is a scam. My roomate called the AG and was told to report it to the Do Not Call website. We will be doing that.

It is a SCAM, it is not Citi Bank calling you.Do not give them your credit card number. That is the first thing they ask for. Call Citi Bank directly yourself and make sure your account is good. Do not call 800-777-1681.

I received calls from this number. I called back the first time and I told them that I do not have a corporate account with Citibank and that perhaps they were calling me in error and the customer service rep immediately asked me for my credit card number. I didn't provide it of course, but it seemed rather suspicious. I have called credit card companies before and have never had to provide my card number. Most banks' phone systems are intelligent enough that they can trace your account number simply by the phone number that you are calling from along with some basic info such as your name, address, and date of birth as a form of verification. The most that you should ever have to provide are the last 4 digits of your account. The person over the phone asked me if my name was (ex.: Tom Martenson) or if I knew somebody by that name. And I repeated that no, I was being called in error. He then responded that he would make a note of that in the file that it was the wrong phone number on this person's contact info. Yet they still called me a couple of days later. Kind of weird. I hope it is not a scam.

It's CitiBank Corporate Card collections. They are calling because your corporate card is past due.

also repeated calls.  the first call i answered about a week ago and it was some girl asking for an employee in the company.  then she called back maybe 15 minutes later asking for another employee, so from then i dont answer when they call, which is everyday.
