The employees of this company must be miserable. They are extremely rude. I don't trust them and wouldn't trust them with my credit cars for payments. Money orders only. Please excuse their ignorant behavior they are over weight and sit all day eating pretzels making phone calls. Plus they are elderly aka stuck in their ways. I suggest  downloading a free app on ya cell phone to block their sorry a$$3$. Lol I did. Lol. I love it. I pay my bill without having to hear their miserable voice. Keeps me happy.

I have been getting calls from these people for like the past 2 years. They call me 3x a freaking day. They have even gone as far as to call me at 2 in the morning. It's getting sooooooooooo annoying to have to listen to my Voicemail and hear "NCAC is a debt collector. This is an attempt to collect a debt.." Ugh..i've had enough of these people. Either I don't answer or I answer and immediately hang up on them. What really pisses me off is that the only debt I have is my school loan and i'm currently paying that off. So there is no reason for them to be calling me.

I have been getting this number calling me for a few years now. I know its NCAC but I just turned 18 and I have no debt. Especially when I was fifteen! I'm afraid that someone has stolen my identity and that's why they are calling. Is there any where I can check my Credit Score without having to put in a card number since I DONT HAVE ONE! I hate this number and they call a lot. I'm sick of hearing the same voice mail a thousand times. I want them to stop calling or I want to at least figure out what's going on.

This "company" is a joke, and I'm being generous. They have been calling me almost every day for YEARS now. I basically just ignored them. Today I finally called back, they asked for my number, asked me if I was Joe Nobody, I told them no, she said she'd take me off the list, then proceeded to hang up on me, even though I wasn't done talking. What? No "have a nice day"? No "sorry we've been wrongly harassing you for years"? Not good enough. I called back a couple more times, because I wanted answers about this so-called business. I think I deserve that much, don't you? One woman told me to quit wasting her time (I guess calling me every day for years isn't wasting MY time?), then hung up on me. Yes, she actually said that to me. The second did something similar, though not QUITE as rudely as the first. They both REFUSED to help me, and were rude about it to top it off. Apparently they're good enough to call us every day asking for money, but not to answer ANY questions regarding the nature of their business. Pretty shady, right? Any REAL company should be more than happy to answer any questions you might have, and listen to any complaints you might have, whether they take them seriously or not. If you are being harassed by these people, here's my advice: call them back. Either they have the wrong number, or they have the right number, but either way, I wouldn't give these b****oles one cent of my money if I was you. Oh, and make sure you are as rude as possible in the process.

According the FTC and the Collectors Practicing Act, I was told a debt collector cannot call you after 9:00 p.m., and certainly not at 10:11 p.m. at night.  I got a phone call from 1-800-779-4894 at 10:11 p.m. and decided to let it go to voice mail, so i can have 1) the recording and 2) date and time the message was left.  I have sent this information to the proper authority and can't wait to see what happens, since Mr. JackAZZ said, they close at 8:00 p.m. and don't make calls during that time of the night, and they turn their automative recording off before leaving the office. Can't wait to see what happens!!!

although it is true they are calling regarding a certain bill -- they are NO LONGER CALLING ON THEIR BEHALF. they PURCHASE the debt and contact information from the original debter -- usually for pennies on the dollar.

i.e., the original debtor is out of it. now, it's up to the collection agency to recoup their money -- plus the profit. the profit is the difference they paid for this debt and the original amount. for instance, your bill was $10.00. they purchased your debt for $1.00 (plus information on you). now they attempt to collect teh $10.00, and usually charges they say you now owe because you didn't pay, etc. so, if you don't pay, they lost their $1.00. if you do pay, they made $9.00 + . . .

see how it works?  they're going to slam your credit regardless.

it is a good idea to ask for itemized charges on hospital and doctor bills. i would think due to hippa laws, they would not be able to get those. i mean ask for why you paid for every penny -- a TRUE itemized bill. if they can't come up with it, you might be able to get it taken off your credit report.

good luck.

Industry Tips

Collection Agencies

(Note: These tips pertain to the industry cited above and do not necessarily track our experience with the company in whose report they appear. In particular, industry complaints referenced below are typical of the industry as a whole, but not necessarily every company in the industry.)

Collection Agencies represent creditors and are hired to collect debts owed to those creditors. The creditors furnish information about the debtors to the collection agencies, including the amount of the debt and how to contact the debtor. That information may be incorrect. If contacted by a collection agency having incorrect information about an obligation you supposedly owe, go back to the creditor to correct the error, if you cannot straighten out the mistake with the agency.

If a collection agency keeps calling you after you have asked them to stop or if they are abusive to you, there are steps you can take. You can complain to the creditor the agency represents. If the problems continue, you can complain to the Bureau about the agency and the creditor if the creditor did not take steps to control their agency's actions.

Collection agency practices are regulated by state and federal laws. You may obtain free information about allowed and prohibited practices by calling the Texas Attorney General at 800-252-8011 and the Federal Trade Commission at 877-382-4357.

I have received two messages to call them.  I do not owe any passed due bills and have not received anything in writing either.  When I called I said I have been recieving messages and I am calling back to see why.  She asked for my phone# and said are you (and said a name I didn't know) I made her repeat it to make sure I knew what name they were attaching to my phone #.  Then she asked me my name, I told her there was no one living here by that name, do not call me again, and then she hung up.  Do not give any info to these people.  I have had my phone# for 35 years.

A representative at the collection agency claimed she will delete my number from their call list. Let's just say that the promise went unfulfilled. My next move will be to locate their physical address and submit a written request via mail(Official Letter) to remove my number from their list. I will also mention that I will forward letter to my Attorney Generals Office. That always gets their attention. The representatives are always rude.

"Used to work there" is correct about being taken off the list.

I got the recorded calls every weekday morning for MANY weeks. I finally called back, and gave the operator my (home) phone number and their 3-letter "code." I was asked if I knew (name). When I said "no," she said "I'll have you removed from the list," and hung up.

I haven't gotten any calls since the day afterward.

NCAC buys debt from apartment complexes and tries to collect on it.  You're being called everyday because your phone number is in their database and they will call you daily until you call them back.  More than likely they have the wrong number because it's an old number that someone else used to own.  In that case, they will remove you from the list.  There are thousands of people on this list.

BTW, some of them aren't very nice people.  Don't let them get the best of you.

Automated call from a company I never heard of.  Don't owe anyone anything so I know its wrong.  Will not waste my time reasoning with idiot company.

If your number is getting called by them and your number is on the Do Not Call list, go to the website and file a complaint.  I am doing that for every instance they call and hopefully the government will fine the hell out of them!     https://donotcall.gov/

The call shows up in my call logs as having a 011 in front of the 1-800 number.  Either they are calling from outsite the country or are faking that to defeat call blocking from the phone carriers.  I have call blocking enabled against that 1-800 call but it still rings through.

This agency has "SCAM" written all over it. People who you really, legally, ACTUALLY owe money to will go to great lengths to pursue you in writing as well as on the phone-- and they are MORE than happy and eager to provide legal proof that you owe them money. These people are just praying on the mass majority of Americans who not only have debt, but have so much they can't remember where all of it came from. Those people who simply trust that this is a real debt collector will likely lose money, if not their identities as well.

Like Anne above, I don't owe anybody anything, but I still get calls from NCAC. However, many people do owe money, and perhaps they've been late paying some bills so they get tricked into returning these calls. My advice: Don't do it!
