Hey Buddy,
if you call rogers @ 1-888-764-3771 and ask to be transferred to speeddial 395 it's the exact same as calling 1-800-786-0507 - I work in this dept and we are not third party - our call center is located in Montreal and Kitchener in the normal rogers building

I work for rogers in the Multiproduct loyalty dept in which this phone number is talking about - you obviously don't work @ rogers if you didn't know that Speeddial 395 is the same 1-800-786-0507 - maybe you should confirm what your saying before you post it on the internet

Your obviously calling the wrong number - cause that number goes to Rogers Call centers based in Montreal and Kitchener and has nothing to do with a free trip giveaway nor will you be asked for you credit card number

You have to dial 1-800 not just 800, and you will not be billed as it is an 800 number.
If you just press call on your phone it doesn't put the "1" in.

DO NOT BUY INTO THIS SCAM - I am an employee at ROGERS and we are not offering a free trip to anywhere. Some promotions on our website include a free Gas card and others when you order a product or services.
Do not give out you credit card number to unknown callers. Feel free to call us directly or you can contact us via our website at www.rogers.com.

Yes, the largest telecom in Canada is scamming people with free trips

Oh and he said they were based in a montreal call centre as ROGERS not a third party.

i called from Toronto and I got through to a Rogers Rep (not a third party) and I answered a few basic questions that were non threathening to identity theft or anything like that and he said he was sending me a $20 gas card for Esso (but I have 3 services with them!!)

Got a call today, and said they were $10 gift card for each rogers service you have except for wireless. Called 1-888-ROGERS1 and the rep there did not know about any sort of promotion. Called 1-800-786-0507 back and they answered the phone "rogers satisfaction department". They are apparently a telemarketing company that does work for rogers. Both guys I talked to seemed very young. I'm still not completely at ease that it was legitimate, however the telemarketing guys did have the same error in their database regarding my postal code that Rogers has.

I called Rogers at their standard 1-888-ROGERS1 to confirm this was a legit message. Basically they are giving away $10 gas for every service you have with them.

Had a call from them. They are a scam company that says you have won a free trip for two to Florida and the Bahamas. Then they want ur credit card # and charge you for stuff. Don't buy into it. It's a scam. AND they're timeshare people....

I got a short ring from this number and this is it...
| Tara, Toronto 2008-08-17 23:15:25 Unknown |
Few calls during last two weeks, no message. When I dial the number, they tell that it is a long distance number and charges will apply. So it is very clear. How we can be protected from that?

Three phone calls in 48 hours - did not pick up. When I called, no company ID.
