I just received a call from a Dura-Coat representative who started by telling me that they were sending the new catalog and then proceeds to tell me that I have an outstanding 8 can backorder ? what colors would I like.  He then tells me that I am required to complete the order.  I told him that I did not sign any agreement and he then says that they are a wholesale group and I must have misunderstood but I am obligated to complete the order placed three years ago.  He put me on hold to contact the ?shipping department? and then takes me off hold and says they adjusted the order and I only have to but 3 cans.  I told him I am buying none and then he tells me that that will result in a $500 restock fee.  I hung up and then he calls back trying to press, I hung up again and did not answer on follow up calls.

Some 4 or 5 years ago, I TOO got suckered into buying some very expensive paint for a project.  I never used it and don't care who made it. The paint is Dura-Coat and was from Warehouse Distribution Center in Lindenhurst, New York, with the telephone number I-800-790-2570. A couple of days ago, some RUDE MFer from Chicago, Illinois, called and started demanding that I fulfill the rest of some contract I supposedly signed (I'm in CA & never signed anything), saying I had to buy 7 more cans @ over $200 each, or they were going to start ruining my credit plus charge some ridiculous additional $500 "restocking fee" even though they hadn't unstocked it in the first place. He kept telling me to calm down or he'd hang up because of my attitude. I was very calm and logical, and not rude; I wanted to get to the bottom of this little surprise. He'd put me on hold and come back on with"deals" that he said would satisfy the contract, yet refused to send me a copy of said contract. He claimed to be an asst. mgr and the phone came up as 815-277-2020.  I wonder if this is the same clown as the telemarketer who's been making all the annoying calls above. Well, I'm not very calm now!  My advice: AVOID THESE PEOPLE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I hope this information is of some use to those that have been anoyed.  I am hoping that the paint that I used is as good as promised even if was too expensive.
