I just received a call from the number which is why I googled it.  The woman on the phone was very unclear spoke really fast said they wanted to talk to me and if it wasn't me to please disconnect the call.  I had to listen 4 times to make out the number.  When I called back a woman answered when I asked her who I was calling age hung up on me.  I called a few times after and the call just ends I don't get anyone.  Very weird and unprofessional.

I have come home every day to find Quality Asset Recovery's # (856-925-1010) on my caller ID.

I don't return the calls and I erase the messages.  I will not pick up the phone whenever that number pops up on my Caller ID.

I have no debts that would need me to deal with these people so I do not know why they are calling me.

Called and left message looking for person who used to own my  house. We bought it back in 2005. Said if this was not the person's number to call back and have the number removed. If it is the number for the person they were looking for to call back (different extension). I called the number from home and the call did not go through but just tried from work and got "Happy  Holidays How may I help you?" No identification of who I called.

Left message saying this is a message for previous owner of my home. They are trying to collect on a debt. Left a number to call if not person they are looking for. Left different extension if the person they are looking for. Tried calling number. Call did not go through.

Called me also ... It's a scam call to get you to buy in on something.

called my cell said his name was Quincy Roberts @ x109
siad he was not sure if I was expecting his call but it was a very inportant matter in his office and he may be able to help me out with it and to return his calll

This message is on my machine every week, sometimes 2x a week for months now to call Richard Martin with a very important message.  If it's so important, call personally - I have no outstanding debts so I refuse to call them back.

Left message to call "James Grayson" about an important matter. I can only assume its a collection company with weasely tactics.

I just don't answer my land line and if someone breaks the law on cell phones, I report it to FTC.

It is a collection agency, however, I don't have any outstanding debts. These calls came several times a day for a few weeks, stopped, and now they are beginning again

a HAHAHAHA!  This is the best story I've read yet from the collector scum (not legit collectors! the bottom feeders) who post here, attempting to defend the indefensible.

Boards like this are a godsend to help consumers ferret out scams. And that's what you con artists hate so much, isn't it?

Oh, sweety....what you don't know about the Bill Collection Industry is A LOT !!

No bill collector is allowed to call your job. Tell them to "cease and desist from calling your place of employment.

The reason the whole world's economy is in a slump is because people complain about interrupting phone calls? O yea, since they call on weekends, everyone can do the airhorn thing during their off days. Leave a message too.

The reason people are pissed off is because they dont have any bills to collect and they still call. When you pick up the phone and press 0 the guy hangs up on you. After getting these calls for 3 or 4 months for no apparent reason, people tend to get pissed off. What I plan on doing is getting through to the line and getting an air horn and activate it 3 or 4 times a day. I suggest everyone do this to teach them a lesson.

John Weiss left a similar voice message. I immediately wrote a letter to QAR in NJ demanding that they cease this communication as I am unaware of any debt. IF there was an unpaid bill I do not know about, any REPUTABLE company would communication in writing and not via harassing phone calls, ture?!

Keep copies of your letters/complaints/phone log - you have more rights that you know against these collectors who use ILLEGAL tactics.

First, to all of you who THINK you know so much, Quality Asset Recovery, LLC is not affiliated with QAR, LLC based in NY. Let's start there.  

Secondly, debt collection is not the horror you all make it out to be. If people would simply call and explain their situation almost any professional debt collector will work with them.  

Not calling back or avoiding calls and situations does nothing but affirm the lack of responsibility to handle things in today's society as a whole.

And I LOVE ALL THOSE SITES about how to stop bill collectors.. why don't they make a new site called HOW TO DRIVE DRUNK AND GET AWAY WITH IT, because it might as well be the same.

Calls from 856-925-1010 Attorney Jack Weisman call back 1800-976-1476 to discuss an "important" legal matter. Calls three times a week midday every other week or so for about 3months now. I haven't bothered picking up any calls yet.

Also check out Alabamaconsumer.com - These guys are great attorneys in alabama!! They sue the debt collectors!

I highly reccomend reading up the FDCPA which can be found online.
The annoying folks at QAR is in violation of whats mentioned in FDCPA.
Apparently they are doing a Step#2 & #3 on everyhousehold they are bothering.

Unless you do NOT have in your hands a notice that backs up what they are nitpicking you day by day, HANG UP ON THEIR SORRY A**......
There are ways to fight back but its not going be an easy task to get these a-hole to F- Off......

Ask a lot of questions,Keep Track Of their calls, Take down names btw do they address themselves as Mr/Mrs/Miss when finding a message on your answering machine? Do they sound like a broken record when saying a legal matter must be settled/discussed and a lawyer needs to be contacted etc etc etc?  Keep note of the patterns of phone calls, is it daily? every 2-3 days? The folks at QAR are bugging me once a week and when I hear that C___ Melissa Miller speaking I just jot down the time called on my end and  I hang up on the B_____

the number 856-925-1010 called mi cell five times and a woman (Sheryl something) left a message about "a matter of priority". I do not have any debts, so i don't know what to do to stop this annoying call

this number (1-800-796-1476) called my parents house in NJ and I'm in MT. parents asked me if it was for me. Left the same message as above except the name was Lewis Steinberg about an "important matter". They never mentioned who they were looking for.
