Highly abusive. 30 calls in one week.

Its a scam service. Punch the number into Google.

Received a lot of calls from this number stating they were from RCN.  Saying I was past due on my bill or had a pending change to my account.  Checked with RCN and they did not make this call.  Do not call them back.  It is a SCAM!!!

This number is RCN financial services phone number. It is not a scam.

I received a call from this number.  Said it was RCN in regards to some guys account who I don't know.  I have also never had RCN as a cable provider so they are way off base.

Received multiple calls from 8008090923 stating to give a callback because they owe money to rcn, but customer is not using rcn company

keep calling me, called back and started asking for my name, i wouldnt give it to them and they couldnt tell me why they were calling and said they cant take me off the list till i give them my name, said they were rcn financial services.  Even though they called me they said they dont have access to the account info from my number

i called them and had my number removed. they actually are rcn. it usually means that someone else had ur phone number with rcn previously

I missed a call from this number.

This phone number is from RCN. They call when your past due on your bill. It's legit because I've made payment arrangements with them when I'm behind, and the money is credited to my bill. It's definitely not a scam.

I too was late on my RCN bill when I started getting these calls but I paid the bill and I am still getting the calls weeks later....whatever that means! Oh and when I answer it they dont respond!!!!

I called the number back and it is definitely RCN cable company.  The call is valid, I am late on my bill this month.

they called me two time saturday morning, told me to pay $280.17 due to interrupted service...never heard of them......i see rcn is a cable provider in other parts of my state but the collection agency is just grabbing at straws looking for someone with my name that might have an account that needs reviewed.
they  started asking me for information .....i had to tell them that when i am on the phone
"i ask the questions"....send me a letter next time.....i am sure that it will never arrive at my mailbox.

re 800 809 0923, since they call and don't leave a message, I've taken to calling them back from another number after hours and telling them I won't leave my contact info if they don't leave theirs.  Let's all join in and start filling up their voice mail and running up the charges on their 800 number.  Incidentally, their message recording claimed to be RCN but I'm an RCN subscriber and this number isn't even close to one of theirs.  All the numbers I have for them and that can be obtained from their websites are 866 and 877 numbers.  If you are going to return a call to RCN get a number from their site and call that.  Do not reply to this number to pay any bill.

This is a legit number... It is a RCN based phone number for past due bills.

RCN - yes I believe its legit. Delinquent balance on RCN. I am late on my payment to them.

RCN...  Caller left a message requesting a c/b about a pending service change.  Doubtful it's legit so I'm just ignoring it.

I also received this bill, put into my bankruptcy had the bankruptcy court mail them a letter and the letter came back return to sender-attempted-not known-unable to forward.  Then went to the internet to look this name and address up and found this site about the scam.  Be careful everyone this is a bad deal.

This number just came up on my missed calls, and they left an automated message saying that they were RCN (the cable company), and that my bill is past due. They wanted me to call this number to pay them with a credit card. i just made a payment 2 weeks ago...... seems fishy, thanks for the other reports.......

I just got the same letter from "Microsoft" located at P.O. Box 14647 Tucson, AZ 85732-4647, phone 1-800-809-0923. NEVER subscribed to whatever they are charging me for. they also listed my yahoo id. I don't know how they got my address in the first place. The address they have to actually mail the "Payment" to is: PlOl Box 847124 Dallas, TX 75284-7124. Last time I checked Microsoft was still head-quartered in Redmond Washington. This is a big scam, and unfortunately someone will fall for it and just pay the bill and get their credit card or identity ripped off. Whoever is sending these false bills are also committing Postal Fraud, which is a Federal Crime.

I got it too. Second month now. I didn't know what MSNIA was. I've never subscribed to anything related to that or much else for that matter. I actually spoke to a woman who, after getting the "account" number, asked me to verify my name and address. I didn't even want to confirm that and I said she had my number, she should just pull up my account. I told her it was a scam and that I was looking at online verifications that it was a scam and I wasn't going to pay anything for this bogus bill. She didn't want to talk with me anymore. I tried calling back about 10 minutes later and I got a recording saying that they were closed and I should call back later. Ha-Ha. They've got my name combined with my work address. I'd never use that as a subscription location.

Not a call -- a snail-mail invoice for two months of Microsoft MSNIA service I never subscribed for. The service number given was 1-800-809-0923. I called, out of curiosity, but was put on indefinite hold.
