As always I call and they do not have my account. No one seems to have my account but I keep getting the phone calls. I'm so confused!

They call at work and you never get a real person. It is just an automated voice. I have already made arrangements and am paying on my student loan. They need to fix this.

The message left on my voice mail sounded like: "This is a message for Bruce Lessen from Ms. Kobee Williams of 'Steven Barr Re-services' (notice how badly she slurred 'Student Borrowing Services') on behalf of E.C.M.C.  Please call 1-900-809-8591in reference to 3570342."  The call came in on 678-256-3682, which is in Marietta, Georgia - a suburb of Atlanta.  ECMC Group is a legitimate corporation, based in Minnesota, that makes student loans.  I do not know anybody named Bruce Lessen and I had my land line telephone number for 16 years.

I RECIVIED A CALL FROM THIS COMPANY 4X A DAY AND THAT TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS AGAINST FDCPA PRACTICES TO CALL THAT MUCH. THIS IS MY BOYFRIENDS ACCOUNT AND THAT THEY GAVE PERSONAL INFO THAT IS AGAINST THE LAW. I WAS A COLLECTOR AND TOLD THEM NOT TO CALL . BUT THEY STILL CALLED AGAIN. IF THIS DOES NOT STOP I WILL SUE . SHE HAD NO IDEA WHAT A CEASE AND DESIST IS . NOT VERY SMART . SCHARANDA WAS 1ST TO GIVE PERSONAL INFO .,.......

Hi folks...  Just recently I obtained a new domain name to offer creative services and in the process of registering it I had to provide contact info.  Somehow the folks at 800-809-8591 have already obtained the brand new telephone number I also set up and I suspect it was via my domain name registration.  Oh, the company that I registered the domain name with also provides a small, one page website that includes contact info.  Maybe that's where they got it.  Does anyone know of a viable way to stop them, or am I just plain SOL???  I suppose junk mail to my new PO Box won't be far behind...

These people call me at least once a day looking for John Corey.  There is no way to communicate to them to stop!

I just recieved a phone call from this number as well. I did not answer, and it went straight to my voicemail. But no one left a message.

Yep, I had the same automated message always around 10-11 am.

This number calls me and a computerized voice asks for someone I don't know. It then asks if I am that person, to press 1. If I need to go get that person, press 2. If that person is not available, press 3. There is no option for "you have the wrong freakin' number so please stop calling me."

I just got a call from this number asking for an "Anjale" , I have no idea who this person  is. This is not the first call I have received asking for this person, other 8xx numbers have called for this person. I have had this number for quite a while, so I don't know if someone is giving out my number or they had my number long ago.

I get calls several times a day from 1-800-809 8591 with a recording: "Hello, we are calling for Susan Evans. If this is Susan Evans, please press 1", etc etc etc. Extremely annoying as it is my business line.

Been getting machine calls for more than 6 months asking for someone who does not live here and someone I do not know. No options to speak to a live person other than "if you are so-and-so please press 1." I don;t know what would happens then.

Not Amused asked "What good do these websites serve?" I just got a call from these people and found this website after googling the number. Now I know not to even be polite. And for the record, my student loans were paid in full and on time *almost 30 years ago* and I have been living debt free ever since. I used to say "be happy for anyone anywhere with a job" but screw that, and screw these people. I own very little and live paycheck to paycheck. Who are these slugs to harass me? Share every obscene word you know with these guys!

What good do these websites serve? I never see anything resolved...just 100's of websites just like this one with post after post of complaints. It's BS

These a***oles are continually calling my phone number for somneone that does not reside at this number. I am getting sick and tired of the autodialers. I cannot even talk to anyone to tell them to STOP!

I keep recieving letters from this "Student Borrower Services" company, at first giving me a bill then telling me that I am going to go into default if I don't pay my loan. The problem here? I NEVER TOOK OUT A STUDENT LOAN!!! Its freaking me out. Anyway, they give that same number as a call back number. 1-800-809-8591. Is this a scam? Did someone take out a loan with my info? Man.. this sucks!

They call all the time and computer asked for the same name.  They identify themselves as some collection agency.

I have received numerous calls and letters from this company about a student loan I currently hold.I've told these people over and over again, I've lost my job and I'm unable to pay off this loan at the current time. They call my cell phone numerous times a day and often hang up on the first msg.

I have received numerous phone calls from this company (Student Borrower Services) all from different phone numbers. For the past two days I have received calls from them again, with yet another new number. The call came from (862)881-8985 but the woman who left the msg. calls me by 1st name only, and asks me to return the call to Debbie Hertford at (800)809-8591. No other info. given.
I have received many different calls in relation to a student loan I currently hold. Sometimes the caller leaves a company name (or one shows up as I have turned priv. caller block on). Some of the other companies calling from similar numbers show up as Talisma, telemarketer, Islip, NY; various cities from MI & NJ, Seattle, WA; Albequerque, NM; Pine Bluff, AZ; Dallas Fort Worth, TX; Tampacen, FL; Fair Oaks, CA; etc. They all claim to be "with" Student Borrower Services. Many times they call numerous times a day, and often hang up after the 1st msg.

Called and left a message on my cell phone. They call me all the time. Message is hard to understand and full of static. They are a company that wants to consolidate loans, but they pose as a collection agency so you will freak out and call them back.
