The call came from 800-714-4760.

What a joke. They called me and I got a recording saying I am a winner of a Ford contest, so press 1. I played along, pressed 1, got a scam artist who said I won a cool cash giveaway, thought I was married, asked what state I live in, asked for my phone number, transferred me to another person who said I won a two day FREE cruise. After playing along and getting transferred again, they finally ask for my credit card # to register and pay $59 port fees per person. I tell them no I don't give out my card # on the phone unless its someone I call and know who I'm speaking to. I get transferred again to another scammer who says he works for Carribbean cruise lines and is insulted that I question his integrity. I told him I'm looking at a web page with his phone number and several comments that its a scam. I tell him mail me the info and I'll gladly pay the port fees after I verify the cruise. He got mad and said he would pass along the proze to someone else and hung up on me. LOLOLOL I had nothing else to do wasting 20 minutes.

Called with a pre-recorded message saying I had won a Ford Explorer. The supposed sweepstakes was "Cool Cash and Cool Cars" or something like that - which I certainly never entered! Definitely sketchy (a scam or at least a time share sales pitch).

They DID leave a call back number of (800) 809-9970 - same as the one they called from. So, maybe we can try to get more information about who exactly this is (or simply troll 'em)!

I just won a Ford Explorer!  Why can't these @$$holes get a real job?!?!?!  I'm also on the DNC list AND I have a laywer working to prosecute idiots like these.  I can't wait to add them to the list of people who will be paying ME some day!

I forgot to mention I also received two "awards notification" calls within the last 3 weeks from 855-841-6089 that I  have won a $25,000 prize from something I registered for "some time ago".  Sure, when was some time ago.  Wow that means I have won $75,000 in 3 weeks.  Amazing isn't it.  I may be naive, but not that naive.

I got a voicemail message that I had definitely won a $25,000 home makeover. Figure it had to be a scam. Too bad things like this happen. I won't be calling back.

Recd a call from this number and they left a msg telling me I had won a car....yeah, sure I did....what a joke....Please don't waste your time calling me because I will not respond.

I agree with you.  I put a "keep off the grass" sign in my back yard, and I still see birds, squirrels, rabbits, dogs, and even the occasional deer in my yard.  Sometimes even my neighbor's kids run into my yard to chase after a ball.  I'm not sure how they get past my sign.  I always thought that my "keep off the grass" sign would protect me by putting an impenetrable dome over everything it was supposed to protect.  

I think I'm going to sue the sign company, because my "keep off the grass" sign is a joke.

Yes, We got a call from this number (800-809-9970) as well.  It's great to win a prize for a contest we NEVER entered.  I think that's listed as one of the top 3 hints of a scam....  Not sure how they get past the DNC list, must be related to some other legit biz we used.

I got the same call today 8/28/13 as Migs57...same exact spiel by female robo caller.....most definitely a scam because I have not entered any sweepstakes and have not looked at a Ford Explorer.

It's sad that our own fellow citizens have no shame at all in trying to scam each other :-(

I received a call saying  the woman was from a sweepstakes claimant department and I was a top prize winner in the Ford Explorer Cool Car Cool Cash Summer Contest.
They said it would be good if I called back this number. No other details. I enter lots of contests and have won legitimate things, a cruise through BJ's an ipad and a gift card worth $25,00.  
I googled looking for this contest to see if I entered it and found nothing so i googled this phone # and this is what I found...it appears this was a marketing call...
I found some legit car contests associated with Ford so maybe I will enter them and get lucky for real.

I received a message on my home answering machine on 8.19.13. Female voice saying I won a 25K home makeover. I am registered on the DNC list too.

I also received a phone call about the Fords Cool Cash sweepstakes.. I do enter sweepstakes but I don't remember if this was one of the contests, so I called the number, afterall it is an 800 number. The recording said lines were busy but it also stated a number 791..? Is that how many suckers actually called back..

Just heard their message on the answering machine. No prize mentioned just that "You're a winner".  They have no idea who they're calling.  I 'd call back from a pay phone just to see what swindle they're attempting so I can inform the Attorney General.

Said I had won in the Ford Sweepstakes.  I had entered a Ford Sweepstakes but I'm pretty certain an actual person would call if I had in fact won.  Also, by reading the above posts...there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that it is a scam.

I got the same call. ignored it.

Got a call but it said I won a car. No opt out either so looks as if a couple of scamming companies are using this phone number!

My call from this number said I won 25,000 guaranteed!  Yeah right.  Bet I would have had to send money to claim it.  I didn't return their call!

Left me a voicemail congratulating me and asking me to call them back to claim my prize. I never believe these. I just deleted it. But it bugs me that they can call me when I'm on a dnc list.

This message calls several times a day.  It is a recording.  They are targeting seniors too.  Several relatives have received this call.  The call is harassing.

How stupid are they?  They call on one number and tell you to call another number to claim your prize.  The only prize I'll consider is sticking my size 14 up their a$$.
