I don't know what this # calls about because they never leave msg. I can't find this # in connection with any of my accounts or other things I'm involved with... so their ID is a mystery to me. Meanwhile, they don't know if they are calling the right # for me because I don't pick up and w/continue to ignore them because of their anonymous "toll free call" ID. Ridiculous. Yep. I'm registered in Do Not Call... which seems useless for this type of call harrassment.  What to do? I can't figure it... but I'm NOT going to pickup.  

I didn't answer it because I have read that it is a bogus company

I called the number and it's a collection agency called ACME? but they were looking for a Wesley and obviously have the wrong number.

Got a call from them recently and the guy talks so fast and like he is covering his mouth on the phone it is very unprofessional and he does not say why but he calling about a debt. You call back and they don't answer. You can't even understand the company he is calling from.

Called earlier and the woman speaking could barely speak english. She asked for a mangled version of my name, but I understood what she was getting at. I asked for her comany name three times and every time got the same response: "Ashushuh." This is what I have to assume what she said, although it may be AFNI as I have seen on this board. I even heard this when I asked her to slow it down. Who knows. Asked to speak with me about something private. Then I said this wasnt a good spot to reach me and she hesitantly hung up.

Blasted some really loud music at them at they hung up. They have not called back.

started calling for a woman. no women in house. woke me up so spent the day calling them back and being the rudest a***ole to them. what fun

Get many calls a week. Caller I.D. registers as Toll Free Call. I answer call, no one on the line. I hang up and will never answer a call if I don't recogize the number. I would like the calls to stop!

Getting messages everday from all sorts of phone numbers i am getting tired of this i don't know why this keeps on going on i block them and they just call me from another number its just crazy.  Someone has to be able to do something about this because i do no call list does not work.

Just got a call from this number again.  They do not leave a message and I do not answer calls when the name is blocked.  I was just wondering, since I have call forwarding on my phone, why I could not forward these calls to the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General's office in my state, or maybe to the Do Not Call list number and let them deal with these people?

They call me from this number several times a day and i have blocked their number. These calls are Bogus and they do not stop.

I get calls from this number several times a day. I subscribe to Equifax protection and have nothing flagged on any of my credit reports that would warrant calls from a debt collector. How do I get them to stop calling my home phone. It is beyond annoying!!

Out of the blue some dude using a threatening tone called concerning a four hundred something dollar Direct TV bill.  I don't have a Direct TV account.  Dunno how he got my cell phone number.  Creepy!

I have had this problem with this number before and had my number changed because consumer affairs and New York Attorney general says they are from a fraudulent collection agency named AFNI Collections. They told me not to answer cause then it confirms someones there and they call all the more.

I just called them back, after doing the *67 "block my number" thing.  It's a debt collection agency, but I couldn't quite get the name. I do have 1 outstanding debt that I'm trying to track down, so it could be valid in my case.

This is an unwanted either telemarketer or possibly sear which i have dine no business with or another possible person connected to this number is Afni credit agency and afni is fraudulent they mostly take old Verizon bills and try to collect on them

I just got the phone call a min ago. I just set my phone to not ring when they call. I am also on the do not call list and i agree it is a joke so i just save them into my phone and put do not ring. So that i wont atleast here it when they call

These people are obnoxious.  So I was obnoxious right back to them and got extremely nasty.  Who they think they are calling and not saying why they are calling.  I gave nasty with them and told them to never call here again and if they did my attorney would be contacting them.  Seems like they are preying on the seniors.  Let them call again!!!

I didn't answer the phone when they called. I ignore toll free calls.

Found out today that the company is AFNI, a Bloomington, IL based credit collection company that used predatory collection tactics.

Not sure who they are. A robotic voice says my name on the voice mail, but then there is nothing at all. I am disabled, and on a fixed income, and while I might owe a few dollars on some bills, I haven't used a credit card in about 15 years, and there should be nothing on my credit report to collect about.

Good god! These calls are annoying, unwanted and I am getting tired of trying to find out who they are. I answer my phone now for only close family and friends.

I agree..THE DO NOT CALL LIST is a joke.  I have three numbers registered, and needless to say they all get those funky calls...and the worst are the ones for lowering credit cards..H..E...double hockey sticks, I do not even have a credit card.  I got the call for that recently and I acted like I was so excited to get the call they "hung up"....LOL, go figure!!

I've received many calls from this number. I have caller id & it says "unavailable" so I have never answered it.  I looked up the number & it's some credit agency in Bloomington, IL.  I don't have any credit problems. I'm also  on the Do No Call List but consistenty receive unwanted calls. Being on the list certainly doesn't work!

I get about 6 - 8 of these calls a day no answer, no message; if I answer the call sometimes I get a woman speaking in spanish. I am on the do not call list, which is the biggest joke of our life time
