These folks left a message saying that a friend or family member has paid for a free energy analysis of my home.  No one I know would do that.  Having received a large number of calls similar to this, I called the number to find out who was calling and to have my name removed from their call list.  I asked several times and she said she had in fact removed me, but she just kept talking!  Finally, after I asked and she told me that yes they are a U.S. company, I told her that as soon as anyone asks to be removed from their call list they are required by law to do so and end the phone conversation.  However, this woman kept saying that I did not understand and kept trying to get me to accept and have someone come out to my home.  She wouldn't stop talking even though I said no muliple times.  I finally just hung up while she was talking.  I don't know if this is a private or government organization, but this particular rep in my educated opinion was way out of line and I strongly suspect deceptive practices.

These people call daily. They will not stop. They just keep wanting to come to your home....,.

The scam lady says "I am calling to confirm your appointment for a free home energy analysis, which says here (like she's reading an authorization) you were referred by a friend or family member...it is paid for because you were referred"  She also says she will show us how to get government stimulus money..."

We get similar calls daily on all three of our phones including our business line regardless of whether we ask to be taken off list or not.

Why can't something be done about these jerks.  I've already reported it once to the Do Not Call people.

Frequent caller that claims she was referred by a friend or family member but she never asks for anyone by name, she doesn't identify herself or the company she represents, she reads her script out loud ignoring all my attempts to stop her from carrying on with her script, and she uses the same script every time:  "Hi, I'm calling to confirm your appointment for your free home energy analysis. It says here that you were referred by your friend or a family member, or anyway, it's totally free to you, it's already been paid for, and we'll show you how to stop all the energy that costs you so much money from leaking out of your home without spending any money. So give us a call until 9pm at 1-800-837-1239 to confirm your appointment. Generally, our free energy analysis will cause your power bill to go down by 30- to 50-percent. Again, this service is already been paid for since you were referred. We'll also show you how to get over $3000 in free government stimulus money for just trying to save energy. So to confirm your free energy analysis appointment, call us at 1-800-837-1239 between 11am to 9pm Monday thru Friday, and 9am to 3pm on Saturday."

Don't fall for this "paid-for" energy analysis from this unknown company. Your local utility company offers free energy audits of your home so call your utility company directly if you truly want one.

I just filed a complaint with the FCC!
I called these people at the 800  number to "confirm my appointment" and asked the woman to remove me from the list. She said "I can help you with that but..." and then launched into a spiel about how I didn't understand they are trying to save me money and the country energy. I explained I understood, already had several energy saving features in my home and had claimed my tax credit for the year for it and was not interested in their audit. She continued on telling me there was "new money" available and I did not understand. I told her again I was not interested and to remove me from the list. A third time she started in about how she "could help me with that, but..." I interrupted (hard to do with these folks who never stop talking!) and said I was on the FCC website as we spoke and was filing a complaint. Now are you going to remove my number or not? Move on to the next page.  She continued to stall and I said I am hanging up now and filing my complaint. It doesn't matter if they are trying to save me money and are legit. If I ask to stop receiving calls, then they have an obligation to take me off their list!

The name they gave when they answered was Worldwide Organization for Saving Energy.

These jerks call me daily at home, cell phone, and work phone.  It's unbelievable that this can't be stopped and isn't illegal.  Pretty soon I'm going to schedule an appointment and then beat the living stuff out of whoever shows up.  Seriously....a class-action lawsuit should be brought against this operation.

They called at 9:01pm and left a message on my business cell phone!! I have called the 1-800-837-1239 number that they leave and have asked for my number to be removed 4 times. I have been hung up on all 5 times (Kim-twice, Stacey-twice, John-once) I asked to speak to a supervisor all 5 times and was told they were busy, not there, they would not get him/her and that the "supervisor" refused to speak with me.  The "Supervisors" name that I got (from "Stacey") was "Chris". I tried to speak to "Chris" about his rude/harassing employees and the fact that they call to late at night, their repeated attempts even after I asked them not to call but I was hung up on AGAIN and was unable to speak with "Chris".

I received a message on my cell phone from a "local" number in my same area code.  Interestingly enough, I live 1,000 miles from that "local" area, as I moved but still have my old phone number.  Furthermore, I do not own a home, so none of my friends or family would have recommended me to their service.  When I called I was told there is not a supervisor that I could speak with and to go ahead and schedule my appointment.  So, just to see what would happen, I proceeded to explain that I knew they were a scam because I live in an RV/camper.  The dumba$$ woman tried to schedule my appointment and wanted my address!  When I explained that my home is attached to the back of my truck, and my address was wherever I parked, she said I didn't qualify and hung up on me!

I don't know what this scam is all about. But I do know that they are "spoofing" their telephone numbers, making it impossible to stop them. For the uninitated, they have equipment that converts their real telephone numbers to phoney ones and if you have caller ID, the number that appears on your phone is bogus. The State of Florida passed a law banning spoofing, but some jerk judge found the law unconstitutional. Committing fraud over the phone is aparently one of our constitutional rights. Three years ago, the US House of Representatives passed a Bill banning spoofing, but the Bill got lost in the US Senate.   My guess is that there is nothing we can do about this. The FTC, do-not-call-list and local phone companies are useless unless we have a real phone number to report.

Tried to report the 800 # and they stated that the number has not been registered long enough to fall under the laws of "DoNotCall"..... So that tells me that as long as the group keeps changing 800 #'s each month... they can get away with it...

I've also reported them twice after 3 annoying conversations about taking my number off their list.  So now, every time they call, I wait until one of their operators come on the line and I blow a whistle as loud as I can into the phone.  I figure what comes around, goes around......since I have to hear their annoying messages, they can hear mine

I'm getting the same call with a number from cocoa FL 321-987-4591.  The number keeps changing but I'm getting a call once a day on my cell and work phone.  I've been reporting it online  to the National Do Not Call Website,  https://www.donotcall.gov/. Maybe when they get enough complaints they will do something to stop this company from this harassment.

I got the same phone call yesterday. They left a message on my voicemail. It was MY CELLPHONE!!! I don't have a house phone. I called the number back and the man that answered said the name of the company was "Global Energy" or something like that. His name was Michael. I told him #1 They were calling a private cellphone. #2 No one in my family referred me to them, #3 They needed to take me off their call list immediately. This guy proceeded to try to get me to do some stupid analysis. Says that we as americans should not rely on foreign resources. I repeated to him to take me off his call list and almost hung up when he started to talk again, cause that when he said, ma'am you seem like a smart american. And I said I am a smart american and you're not. So take me off your list asap or I will report you! And then the little b*****d hung up on me. So I called him back. And guess who answered the phone this time....Mr. Michael...LOL..I said Michael, you hung up on me, you didn't take down my number that I want you to remove from your list. And his response was, oh I looking at it right now. So being the smart american that I am...I told him, so what is my phone number if you are looking at it. And he says, it ends in 0303..And I said yeah so whats the rest. The idiot wanted to argue with me again. So I told him that if I got one more phone call from him or anyone else at "his company" that I will report him to the FTC. Which I am because I am on the DO NoT call list
