Hi I got some weird calls today from a rapid courier saying that i have a prepaid parcel weighing ten pounds from the source. They said I have to sign for this parcel in person. I thought nothing of it at first. Then a few hours later someone called on my cell from the courier company a different lady this time. She seemed confused about who the parcel was going to and mentioned my work and a lady that works in my head office. I questioned her about who the package was for and she was evasive. She said she'd call me back. I then called and talked to my co worker who had received a weird message too. This us a scam. They do not give you a number to call them back. If you get this weird call hang up. If they try to deliver do not sign for anything.

Same thing here..Samamntha called out office for someone we just happen to know....They do not work here but again they said they had a package for this person and they are lying....It is a collection company.

I am pretty sure it is illiegal for them to be doing this.  We are not allowed to call people and lie about the name of our company.

Yep, same thing! Got a call from "Monica" at "Rapid Courier" saying that I had a package that they were trying to re-route to my street but not my full actual street address? Felt it strange then I came upon this page. The number left for me was 1-800-627-6731 ext 9432. When I called the number it doesn't ring or even make a dial tone? Must be a scam!

Holy cow!  The same thing happened to me.... but they called my parents, and claimed to have delievered this huge, prepaid parcel to my x-husband first.  I have my number blocked by my telephone provider, so didn't worry about calling their 1-800 number back, however, my number did show up on their phone!!!!  There was no answering service to identify their company when I called, which is sketchy!  They had been harrassing me with phone msgs until my boyfriend answered their call one evening... they haven't called back!!  BE CAREFUL!!!!

Reading all the previous message has really got me worried because I lived in Ontario but I go to school in NY.  My school called me to tell me that these people have called them and to call them back.  They also left a message on my house phone in Canada.  In addition, I did return her call on my cell phone because I am expecting a package as "Jen" so put it.   When I tried calling her back the number was dead and I was unable to get a hold of anyone.  And the extension at 7831 goes straight to voice mail.

I received a call from a blocked number. She said her name was Carol and she was calling from "Courier Company" (No Name just courier company) and she wanted to talk to me regarding redirecting a prepaid parcel to me, she asked for me to call her back  at 1-800-837-6972 ext 3369. Thank god for Google as I immediately searched for the number. After reading this forum, I got suspicious, I called that number from another blocked number and realized that the "Courier Company" had no voice message introducing the company or even giving you an option to find peoples extension by name, like any legitimate company will. This is definitely a scam, my mailing address has not changed in the past 20 years, and anyone sending me a package will not have my cell number and also the most interesting part is that this company did not even have a name it was just called "Courier Company" :) . So be careful.

It definitely is a scam.  I just got a call from a carol that a they are trying to ship a pre paid package from The Source to me.  I never ordered anything from them and neither has anyone in my family.  I have been scammed before and will not be again.   Interestingly enough when I did get scammed the police did not give me the time of day... Watch out for these low life idiots... because the police will not help incase you do get scammed.

Recived a similar call today from Rapid Courier and a woman called Carol Baker (#1800837-6972, ext 3520) claiming she had a pre paid package for me from The Source that had been misdirected to Ontario. She had my name, home address and she wanted to know what time I am home. She also called my office to confirm my office address. I tried to shoo her away as I did not order anything from The Source, but she was insistent on sending me this msytery package. I bet it's some kind of a scam and the package will never arrive.

Got a call from Rapid Courier, Person said her name was Samantha, left the number 416 606 4180, I did a reverse lookup and got it as unlisted Bell Cell.

The person said she had two boxes for me, I think it is just another one of scams out there.

I received the same call at work, and fell for it, however they had my home address.

I spoke with very nice sounding young woman who told of these packages. I had no idea who was sending me a gift as it was my birthday.

The girl said that I had two packages fully paid for and insured. I became suspicious after she called me on my cell and concerned at to who was doing this.

I feel threatened and concerned now. I wish I had thought to check the number on this site first.

Had a call come in around 8:30am, it was a blocked call and normally I dont answer them, so I let it go to voicemail ... no message.  I came into work about an hour later and had a message waiting for me this morning at work and of course it was "Laura" (1-800-837-6972 ext 8483).  She answered a couple questions I had left in my initial voicemail to her.

Telling me their were 2 boxes, of shoebox size and that they were fully insured for up to $150 and that they were rerouted from Vancouver (I'm in Winnipeg) so they needed my current residential address and best time to deliver it so I can sign for it or give her permission to have another sign for it.

I don't see how packages that were suppose to be couriered to me in Vancouver "got rerouted" to Winnipeg.  Wouldn't it just go back to sender?  If it was CanadaPost ... then it would've been routed to my PO Box ... All seems fishy to me ... I'm debating calling her back and telling her to F*ck off.

Received a message from this number saying she was a headhunter looking for quality people. She said her name was Mary Beth at ext. 5402. My guess is a collection agency since I have a couple of actions going. The other possibility is data mining. Either way, there is nothing wrong with reporting this number to the RCMP Phonebuster fraud line.

My parents got a call from this number, they were looking for me. They said something about Revenue Canada. If anyone gets this call, demand to speak to the supervisor, then demand to know the real name of the company. I have a feeling it is a collections agency, if it is, they have to, by law tell you the company name. It is illegal for them to pretend to be someone else. I would love to know the company name because I would have a big complaint to Business Practices & Consumer Protection Act

I received a call from this company at my parents place - where I have not lived  in many years. My mother passed on the information and I called. It seemed odd that they would be giving away free stuff. I looked up the company online and nothing. Even a yellow pages search turned up nothing. The apparent company called Kiitz (in Niagra on the lake) does not turn up for any search. I googled BOTH of them - nothing. When I said that they seemed to not exist, she was VERY defensive. Said they did and if I did not want the packages they would be sent back to the company (they have been dealing with Kiitz for a very long time). I trust my intuition and will not have them sent.

I got a call from the same #, Laura ext. 8387, she even called my parents work back home!  I haven't actually spoken to her yet, but I was told it had something to do with revenue canada.  I have no idea why R.C. would send anything that I would have to sign for, but I guess we'll see when she calls me back...

I started getting calls from a "private caller, private number" yesterday from a woman named Carol. In a 3 hour time period, I received over 2 dozen calls on my home number as well as my cell number. Only once did she leave a message saying that there was a package that she wanted to get to me (said she worked for rapid courier)But when i called the 800 number back, the message doesn't give ANY company name or anything - so suspicious. She even called my parents home number and spoke to my father, asking if my address was correct, my cell number and she wanted to know where I worked, and which branch it was. I haven't lived at home with my parents for almost 10 years now. She keeps calling, over and over again every 2 to 5 minutes. I'm getting very frustrated with it.

Guess its a good thing that I'm moving at the end of the month.

Got a call from this number from a person identifying themselves as "Lucy" saying they have a parcel (Rapid Courier) that needs to be redirected to me.

The blocked number was suspicious, so I did not answer the call, but they did leave a message.

If they are calling from a toll free number, then why bother to block it at all?

I have posted my resume online through monster.ca, so "some" of my personal info is out here, but not all. They were looking for my physical address to get my packages to me.

This to me is a scam. BEWARE! BE AWARE!

Received call my cell phone from blocked number. Caller named Cathy left voicemail claiming to work for a recruiting agency, Jobs Canada, helping employers look for employees, specifically Alberta energy or oil sands companies. Coincidentally, I was looking for work 4 months ago, but in the retail field, completely far off what she was looking for. And I never posted my resume or contact info, especially my mobile number online or through any agencies. Googled Jobs Canada and the number but nothing comes up except these shared notes from others experiencing something sketchy. When you call the number, it doesn't identify the company and immediately asks you to enter an extension to a voicemail service which has no personal greeting. I used to work in collections as well, so sounds like a scam tactic to extract personal contact info from you to either collect or sue you.
