The best advice is to never pay with a credit card, pay the membership off up front, keep a copy of the contract, and anticipate the end date so you can make sure to explicitly cancel it before renewal.
If your caller has not called back, you should ignore them but keep an eye on that credit card account. (Don't verify anything if you do talk with them - just get information from them.)

Left message regrading a debt collections, called them back they wanted to verifty credit card number that they had, asked them first what debt she said for a gym membership, I had already paid for the gym membership, they said they would look into it, this was 5/30/14 and today is 6/3/14 still have not heard anything. Not sure if this is fraud or not.
