Got several calls from this number.  Who are they?

They call me every day.

They call and dont leave a message.

Uh Yeahhhhhhh, riiiiiiiight. Been 2 months of threats and waiting for the knock on my door and still nothing. These idiots are hopeless scam artists Lurking here posting fake 'Oh my, Little 'ol me was served today' posts. YAWN, Bring it on loosers (But bring a big bat because here in Texas we are aloud to protect our property by force!!)

yes! mike stone called me to thought the whole thing was a hoax! he did come serve me and my court date is next week!

My friend has received 3 calls from this Mike Stone guy. He stated he needed to get a hold of me as I had a civil law suit pending. Two days later, he called her again and stated that I had not responded to his letter of intent (which, I never received).  I was required to appear in court, but did not say when or what court.  He stated he would visit me at home on Friday between 12 and 4 if not there they will go to my place of employement.  He stated that I needed to be there with my ID to confirm it was me.

Has anyone ever received these calls and actually been served by this guy? Has anybody actually gone to court?

I got a call from 1-800-859-8704 on a Saturday morning at 9:00 am my time.  Of course I didn't answer since I was still in bed.  I listened to the voicemail and he stated his name was Moulton (?) Johnson with Global Check & Credit and that he is making one last final attempt to contact me and I need to resolve it within 24 business day hours before they take legal action.  I have never been contacted by them in any other way...plus...for them to call me on a Saturday morning and want me to contact them within 24 business day hours?  That doesn't make sense to me...why didn't they contact me on a Thursday so that I could contact them on a Sunday.  That was all that was left on my voicemail so I didn't know if it is legit enough to contact them back or not.  I'm just confused because I have gotten so many scam calls lately so now...I'm questioning almost all unrecognized numbers.

Got a call on my cell also first from a Mike Stone telling me to call 877-337-9233. Called the number rang no one said the name of the company and spoke to someone named Willis. Said I had a debt with someone and that this Mike Stone was to servep papers but this was giving me a 2nd chance to pay. Then transferred me to a Mr. Beasley who then said they were not a debt collector and I had to pay immediately and he would confer with his higher ups to lower the debt. Got disconnected. Called back. Then I asked for his court date. Said he had to check with his higher ups. Disconnected again. Called me right back. Then I asked another question and again he had to check with the higher ups. Yep, disconnected again and called back immediately. Hmmmmm!!!! I asked the name of their company and he said Global Check & Credit Services. I said he was a debt collector. He stated no. I found the website and it is the lamest site there is. But yet on there it states they are debt collectors. I called the FTC and put in a complaint.

I RECIEVED THIS SAME CALL AND i WAS ABOUT TO PAY AND CHANGED MY MIND THEY NEVER CAME OUT AND AFTER THE DATE THAT THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO COME OUT THEY STOPPED CALLING.

Caller stated that if they did not hear from me that were going to serve me either from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at my home or show up at my place of employment and my supervisor would have to sign as a witness. That is ridiculous my place of employment doesn't need to be involved in this situation. If they are going to take me court all they need to do is file a petition with the county that I live in, they don't need me to sign any papers to do this. What can I do to get them to stop harassing me, I paid them $50 and all I owe is them now is $354 I just can't afford to pay anymore at this time. Can somebody please help me.

rcv'd a call from this number 2x's caller name was Frank Cross stated he was calling from "Esquire Solutions" and would be coming out on Friday to serve a legal affidavit that was faxed to him with my name and social attached for a debt owed from 2007. Guess I will look forward to meeting Mr. Cross on Friday.

I seriously think we should file a class action suit against them if they are the same collection agency that goes by GCCS. I work for a hospital on a critical care unit. I was not on today however another secretary was and they left her all my information pertaining to my debt including case# name of thier company and a phone number. They informed her thet were going to serve me at work When I phoned them to find out where they do business at I cannot get an answer. Interesting. I am pursuing action against them and I encourage all others to do so. How humilating to have my personal business put out  there to someone who had no business knowing a thing.

The same girl keeps calling me over and over, but she changes her name each time. Does she think that I am stupid?  This is the second time these types of scam artists have tried this on me.  Once a few months ago. Eventually they give up and stop calling, but it is annoying!! Do they not know that in order to serve a court order, you have to be a legal process server! Someone from their agency cannot just show up at your home or work!!! What a bunch of idiots.

No they never show up and they wont. Ive have been threatened by them that they are coming to my house and my employment.  My wife is at the house and no one showed up and i was at work and no one showed up.  Its all at scare tactic.

Do they ever come to serve the summons

I just got a call on my cell phone from a guy saying his name was Jack Lee and he left this number. Can they harrass you like that saying if you do not call you will have a legal summons placed on you? I have never ever receiveed a call or anything in writing from these people ever before.

They called not only me, but two of my former co-workers and threatened to take them to court, too.  And they called my grandmother and asked for my 20+ years dead grandfather.  Something has to be done about these people.  Their company name is GCCS, and it's nowhere to be found, except through this number.

Just got a voicemail from them they called private, voicemail saying that they will be going to my house or to place of employment.. Can these people call you and leave you messages like this? This guy was very threating and has no right to leave messages like that.

I received a call from this company, they said they were lo king for my ex husband of 11 years. saying it was a legal matter pending for litigation and  he used me as a reference.

oh also mentioned if I had any guns or dogs to get rid of them.. wtf?

I tried to find them too.  They called again to my office phone (which I have another individual working out of my office currently and became visibly shaken by the horrific message that was left by the person calling - very threatening and made it sound like I had assaulted someone or something - clearly violating collection laws (if this is what it is - I don't know)
