I have received numerous calls from a Pat Thomas "with the Law Offices of Joseph P. Graziano regarding an important legal matter". She does not know who the contact person or even has our correct company name. I've given her a special phone inbox to deliver her case number and we will serve you rants..

I have also received phone calls from the Law Office of Joseph Graziano from Peter Lawrence also from an unknown number. I don't say anything, I just hang up. Can anybody tell me what to do?

After receiving the most ridiculous calls EVER - including vulgar language, yelling, hang ups and threats by a very irrational woman named "Pat Thomas", we had an intent to file a Cease and Desist order due to harassment sent and warned that any further contact would result in the California Bar Association, California Department of Corporations and the California Attorney General being notified.  We alerted them that all further calls would be logged, documented and recorded.

Joseph P. Graziano is indeed a lawyer and active according to the California Bar Association website.  He is listed as owning "Attorney Recovery Systems" which is also active according to the California Secretary of State.

We have no idea why they are even calling us.  Ultimately, I would like to resolve this so they stop calling but despite our repeated requests, they cannot substantiate anything or provide anything to us in writing.  Weird.

If this assault continues, our next step is to send Joseph P. Graziano a certified letter to his home address with the same Cease and Desist request.  In case you need to do the same his home number is [removed]  (Nothing a little Google search can't find.)

This is simply unacceptable.

This is the phone number for The Law Office of Joseph Graziano also are known as Attorney Recovery Services (ARS).  It is essentially a collection agency.  According to the firm's web site, it has a higher than average rate of success in collecting debt because people are more intimidated when an attorney calls regarding a debt.  The web site also claims that it will seek legal action against debtors if and when a client determines that litigation is necessary.  The cost of legal action is normally a nonrefundable 5-10% of the overall debt.  If a debtor seeks to bankrupt the debt, the cost of that specific action is then credited to the client to be used in another case.  I was contacted by Peter Lawrence, an attorney licensed in California, regarding a very substantial debt that I owed.  After looking at the specifics of my situation, I decided to file bankruptcy.  I did not hear from Mr. Lawrence or ARS while the bankruptcy was pending.  This is not surprising as federal law prevents most creditors from attempting to collect on a debt during the bankruptcy process.  A month after my debts were discharged, I received a phone call from a woman who claimed she was the new attorney on the case.  (According to the California Bar Association's website, Mr. Lawrence is no longer with the firm.  The woman is not listed as a licensed attorney, so I cannot confirm that she has given her actual name.)  I explained that this specific debt was discharged; however, she continues to call me demanding that I begin payments on the debt.  She is now claiming that the creditor has authorized litigation.  I am very curious as to whether ARS has collected a fee to file a suit against me.  I have sent ARS information regarding the discharge and do not understand why a creditor would spend a hefty amount pursuing what is sure to be a losing case.  I just read several reviews on Yelp from businesses that were less than pleased with ARS after contracting with the company to collect specific debts.  I had contacted the California Bar Association regarding filing a complaint against the alleged female attorney, but was advised that I needed to seek an order from the bankruptcy trustee first.  If the female attorney continues to contact me regarding the debt, I can then file a complaint.  However, now that I know that she may not be an attorney, I will be contacting the Association to see if I can file a complaint against Joseph Graziano for hiring people who are holding themselves out as attorneys.  For the numerous people who have posted complaints regarding harassment, I suggest that you contact the California Bar Association.

Same thing happened to us. Finally he stopped calling Pat calls, she is just as bad.

You're correct and they threaten all day long just ignore them don't respond to any threatening calls they usually just stop for a while if you're having a bad day and they call just go off on them and hang up don't let them get a word in. Pay the vendor you owe what you can when you can I wouldn't pay the scum bags and always pay in certified funds or check. Also remember the vendor you owe called those scum bags you may also want to consider not doing business with them in the future. Also record everything they say if you choose to talk to them. I'd be curious about just  how much of what goes on, that  Mr. Joseph Graziano  really knows about what this collection agency is doing with his name .  I own a small business and owed a local merchant (that I've been doing business with for 20 years) some money, I worked it out and payed the debt over time, however my name got caught in the books. This merchant as well as myself told them to relax and shut the F#$%  up. These numskulls broke nearly every law in the books, even  disregarding California's FDCPA . Yeah, it's a commercial debt, but there are Federal Laws that prevent this sort of harassment.  Let me clue you in on something dumb s****.
If you want someone  to pay you money, don't insult them or berate them, work with them and see what happens.  Some people have simply gone through rough times, and want to pay their debts;  given the opportunity. Some people like me,  have been robbed by professional litigants and have been unable to pay their debts. F$%^ with me again and you'll be answering to my complaint. No, I'm not a fraud or a flake. Nor will I, or should anybody else put up with your illegal, unethical and immoral ways of doing business to make a buck. If these scumbags has threatened, please you post here so you can be a witness when i sue the crap out of them.  Sorry, the litigation privileged doesn't apply here yet. Speak up people, this is way beyond you and me. It's a failed system that "we" need to stop.

Received a voicemail from Patricia Thomas ext 232 at Josph Graziano Law Firm addressing me by a different first name and say they been more then patient and that now they are turning their unpaid bill into a suit. LOW LIFE TYPE OF BILL COLLECTING AND CALLING ANYONE WITH SIMILAR LAST NAME.

I have received numerous calls from a Pat Thomas "with the Law Offices of Joseph P. Graziano regarding an important legal matter".  The calls are regarding an old, small invoice for our business.  The dollar amount in question is very small, and this Pat Thomas keeps threatening a law suit.  This is stupid, because this Graziano "law firm" is located in CA and we are in TX.  This must be some kind of collection agency that uses a law firm as a front to try and intimidate people.

Recieved a psychotic phone call.. from a man calling himself Peter Lawrence... he claimed our company was delinquent with a vendor, a non-issue that resulted from a billing error months ago. The number connected be to a nameless law firm, put in the extension. I told the man who I was, he asked for a case number. He told me that his records did not match mine. I told him that I was not sure where he was getting his information, but he did not have the right to be a "dick" to my staff. At that he flew into a rage calling me "poor boy who can't pay his bills" "You better move your checking account because I am going to clean it it out", "You want a law suit you got one...." his theatrical fit ended with a hang up.

I am sending my payment records to my attorney... Let's see how phone bank attorney deals with an attorney with an accredited law degree...

The caller identified herself as calling for the law officies of Joseph Grassano.  I would like to know if anyone has received a call from these people and if you know excately who they are?

I have gotten multiple phone calls from this number and a woman named Pat!  She is asking for a Susie but all my legal documents state my real name plus my middle name which she can't come up with.  All bills are current or paid in full.  Does anyone know who to turn this over to.  Since these seems to cross state lines I'd love to know who to turn this over to to press charges.  They are also calling my house.  This is harassment and could be considered a class action lawsuit.  Let me know if you are a victim too.

What the heck is this? who is this woman? what's her real name? is this legal for her to call around and harassing people? how to stop this?

received a call from patricia ext 232 law offices of joseph graziano.  very threatening and harassing and using four letter words.  threatening to sue any one who answered the phpne call. how do one get her off our back.
