Ouch! My brain is exploding and draining out of my ears from trying to understand your illiterate, "what's a caps lock key?" rant. I certainly believe you worked in collections, and are likely working as a professional shill now, because your obvious lack of an ability to communicate coherently makes you a prime candidate for jobs no one with an ounce of intelligence or self respect would touch with a ten foot pole.

Maybe I can work for them. I kind of miss not being able to

1. Make people cry over the phone
2. threaten people with jail
3. threatening children to get their parents before I go and take their toys.

Christmas is my favorite month for these tactics, but for Holloween

"You must pay your bill of this month willl be veeeeery scary for you!!!"

HAHAHAHAH

Maybe I'll apply. :-S

If it's so great, why do you have to come here and shout?   Also, why do you feel the need to randomly look up your ex-employer's phone number listing online and come here and tell us how "great" it is? Doesn't speak well for the company or your intentions.

I used to work for online info services. Do not let the name fool you but yes they are a legitimate 3rd party collection agency.  If they are calling you you either owe on a past utility or health bill. They may have added more types of debts by now since I worked there in 07. They are legit and what they call about is a debt you owe. Its not an online company thsts just their name. They are actually a large 3rd party collection agency thats well known in the bill collection community. NOT A SCAM

I received this call/message on my cell phone looking for my ex husband in reference to renewing his phone number and with an attempt to collect a debt.  My last name was always my maiden name and my phone number has been changed twice since we were together.  There is no reason for anyone to call my number looking for him.  I am very suspicious and fearful that he may be using my phone number or hijacking it.  This company says it is online collections.  I do not know what that means but if there is something illegal about this company, phone call or my ex hijacking or using my phone number, I want to know about it.

Debt Collector
First, these guys are junk debt collectors.   Usually (not always) they are trying to collect some old debt that everyone else won't touch.   There's a couple of things that have worked.

1) Get a google voice account.   Google voice allows you to forward all your calls to a cell phone/homephone.  The caller dials your "new" phone number and the call is forwarded to whatever # you want it forwarded to.  Google voice is free.  That's not all.  Google voice allows you to log in and BLOCK calls that you don't want to receive.  This means when the debt collector gets your # (and he eventually will), you can check the box beside his number.  Next time he calls you, he gets the "ding ding din...Sorry the number you have dialed has been disconnected"  message.  Google voice is good for other callers such as telemarketers, old girlfriends, and anyone else your done with.  All my friends family have my (google) number, not my ACTUAL number.

2) Never ever never reply to a debt collectors mail.  That tells him your address is valid and he's got your attention.  It may "reset" the life of the debt so that the statute of limitations on that debt is "reset" and what was an uncollectable debt is now a valid debt for another 7 years.
3) Get everything in writing if you want to pay off a debt.  Don't be suckered into a deal over the phone.  Thanks them and tell them to send a copy of the agreement in the mail.  Especially if they tell you the bad info will be removed from your credit report once you pay.  A promise is just a promise.  Get it in writing.  If they intend to honor their deal, they certainly won't mind sending it in writing.

4) When the debt collector calls, inform them that you are recording the call "for security reasons".   They WILL tell you this is illegal  and a violation of federal law.  This is not the case.  It is ONLY illegal if you record the call WITHOUT telling them you are recording the conversation.  Most states are "one party consent", meaning as long as YOU consent to the recording, you don't even have to tell the other party.  North Carolina is a "one party consent" state.  However, I tell them that I am recording the call because the rogue debt collectors will usually hang up right then.  I had a debt several years ago and a rogue collector called me.  The conversation went like this...COLL: Hello this is  Janie from ABC..."yada yada yada.   ME:  "Hi Janie.  You don't mind if I record this call do you?"   COLL: "Yes I do mind!"  ME: "You don't mind?  OK .  Thanks"  COL"  "I DO MIND I DO MIND I DO"  ME: You don't mind?  Thanks"   COLL" "I do mind!  CLICK"  Never heard from them again.

Brock and Scott, Bullhead Investments, Chanell Group and now Comprehensive Legal Solutions are all the names they use to collect junk debts. Borck and Scott is the law office and the others are the fronts they use to buy the junk debts. Never EVER admit to owing the debt. When you get the summons paperwork in the mail, answer it within 30 days saying you don't recognize the debt because you never had a credit line with any of the entities listed above. Make them give you validation/verification along with a chain of ownership (a chain of ownership from the original creditor)  90% of the time they cannot do this because it has been bought and sold so many times. If it originally was a Bank of America debt, then went through 4 collection agencies before Brock and Scott got it...they need to send you the complete chain, don't settle for anything less.

They will try to pass off a letter typed up in their office stating that they own the debt...this is NOT verification/validation. It's them trying to scare you into paying. NEVER pay anything...once you pay, you admit guilt and it "re-ages" the debt. At that point? You are forever endebted to these bottom feeding scum buckets. Don't let the entity of them being "Lawyers" scare you. They are known and have/and presently being sued for breaking FDCA protocol. (just look up their name in Justia dockets)

I fought them and won in court last summer and now have all my paperwork from them (and mine) in a lawyers office to go after them for FD collection laws that they break on a regular basis. I know, in my spare time, go through pending court cases in my home county for people that I know that are being sued by these guys. I have won mine in court and have helped 3 other people so far.

These people are scabs and money parasites. Do not call them back, do not give them information, do not answer unknown calls, block their numbers, and notify your bank about this company. You will then be completely protected by your bank and the law.

This company, at least for me was legitimate. I did have about $50 in bills that had just been paid off (they were late). They called me once, I returned the call. The company checked up on it for me, and left me alone once they saw that it had been paid.

We keep getting calls from these people with a recording asking for Dasie Hoya.  We told the woman caller that Hoya never lived here and that Hoya was using our phone number on some scam she commited.  We asked the woman caller to take us off their call list and she immediatly became very nasty and stated as long as Hoya continues to use our phone number she (the woman caller) will continue to call us.  We couldn't believe it!  This company needs to be shut down.

Received a debt collection notice in the mail from On-Line Collections.  Called the number 800-873-9358 to ask what the $23.13 debt was.  It was from Edenton Radiology out of Sarasota, Florida.  Makes NO sense.  First of all, Edenton is a city in NC, also where On-Line is located according to my letter.  There is no record of Edenton Rad in Sarasota, Fl.  Also, I checked the NC secretary of state's office and Edenton Rad has been suspended from the medical board for failure to pay as of 2/2009.  Date of service on my letter says 9/25/2009.  I do not have cancer, have never had radiology treatments, never been to NC OR FL for medical reasons.  On-line advised they will request/send an itemized bill from the company.  Then she tells me my husband name is on the account as well.  This is BS.

I received a call from these people and I have no idea what they could be referring to. They called my work phone number and left a message with my nickname, not my legal name and said they were trying to collect a debt. They left the # 1-800-873-9358, then when they repeated it they said 252-757-2101. I don't know who they are or what they want, but they really shouldn't be calling me at work and leaving messages like that.

I received a call from this number 800-873-9358 but I did not pay any attention to them. As a "Junk debt buyer", they get one line on your account, and that is all they get.
Bullhead Investments of Winston Salem, NC engaged the law firm of Brock and Scott of Winston-Salem to take me to court to collect on a "Junk Debt" that Bullhead Investments had purchased. In court Brock and Scott a complete non-factual list of points. When the Judge asked me what I had to say, I asked for of signed contract agreement and complete payment history. Neither could be produced, so the Judge told them to return only when they had the documents in their hands.  dwarner@ec.rr.com

The name of the company is ONLINE Information Services, Inc.  It is a debt collection agency.  They have called me three times and I have told them not to call my again.  It continues.  I sent them a Cease and Desist Letter I found on line and hope it works.  Their address is:
              ONLINE Information Services, Inc.
              202 W Firetower Rd
              Winterville, NC  28590

Good luck with the letters and dealing with them; they have been arrogant and ignorant when I have returned calls to them. If they have to call to make a living, then at least be nice and civil to those people whom they call.

Debt Collector but its hard as hell to get them to verify any information and the company name (online something?) doesn't show up on my credit report but they are asking for me. Probably a zombie debt collector, someone who buys old, non-collectible debts and attempts to restart it. I've also had this happen with debts I paid in full, these companies usually just ignore you when you provide proof you paid unless you get a lawyer involved.

I got this same message last Saturday. Called back and left a message, but no one ever called me back. They left a recorded message with my first and last name and a reference number. I tried reverse look up, but I can't find anything. I think it must be a scam because I'm not past due on any bills and they were saying that this was a collection call.
