I've been receiving this call, like many others on this board, and I DO NOT HAVE, NOR HAVE I EVER had an account with this "jeweler". Don't make it sound like we're a bunch of dead beats. This "jeweler" is obviously mistaken or simply doesn't care about being ethical.

Got 3 messages a day from this number. I did not authorized any contacts with this number

Got a missed call from this number, but the voice mail was automated from "your jewelry company" and left a different number to call back on. I called the "missed" number and found out it was Sterling, the parent company of Kay Jewelers. Just a reminder that my payment was due 7 days ago. My mistake, and I appreciate the call because they allowed me to make a payment then and there without any late penalties. I'm glad they called!

It's Jbrobinson / Kay Jewelers calling to let you know either something went wrong with a payment or if a payment has been delinquent. They weren't pushy and were helpful with correcting an error on the account.. I hope.

I have been receiving calls from this phone number for a couple weeks now. I usually do not answer phone calls from numbers that I do not recognize. I finally called it back today, and it is Sterling's Corporate Office. They were looking for someone else, so they offered to remove my cell phone number from their calling list. Easy as that! I do have a credit card for one of Sterling's jewelry stores, but I haven't charged on it for years and it has a zero balance, so I knew they weren't trying to collect from me. As annoying as solicitation and collection calls are, it is still another human being on the other end just trying to do their job and earn a living! :)

I was in an area that had no cell service. When I finally got service I had 4 missed calls from these people, all 4 calls where within a span of 2 hours.
I listened to the message and found out it was some jewelry store or a collection agency for a jewelry store.
I know that I don't owe any jewelry store any money, so I called them back.
I informed them that the only people who have my cell number are family and close friends, and that I didn't owe any money.
She gave me the name of the person she was looking for, I never heard of the guy.
She told me she'd remove my number....RIGHT...they've called me 3 more times since then.
I've told them each time that they have the wrong number, but they must be deaf or dumb or both because the calls keep coming...JERKS!

Just got a new number from a guy who clearly owes everybody. This was some jewelry collection call. They were actually fairly nice as far as debt collectors go- yes I have my own debt so I know the drill- if this call doesn't pertain to u just call back and they will take u off the number list.

You may do this, but they still have a right to eventually sue you should you have a credit account with them and continue to not pay. Usually, once they receive this type of letter, they know you most likely will not be paying them or communicating with them, and that is often when the legal process begins on their end. Do not be surprised if the next communication you receive from them is written notice of a lawsuit. If you have an account with any of the jewelry companies they represent, it's best to talk to them. If you do not owe them anything, then by all means send a Cease Communication request.
I speak to you from experience in collections law.

It is sterling jewlers calling to collect a debt. They are affiliated with many different jewlery stores including Jared. Answer the call or pay your bill!
Momo 2011-12-30 20:21:29 Unknown
We receive calls from this number stating they are our "jeweler." We don't have a jeweler and wouldn't return the call if we did.
kuhenm 2011-12-11 17:23:08 Unknown
They call every day and leave a recorded message: "This is an important message from your jeweler." My JEWELER??? I am also on the Do Not Call list. How do we get them to stop?
Danielle 2011-09-26 19:34:38 Unknown
They also called when I was in the hospital recovering from the birth of my son. Told them we were in the hospital and would appreciate not being called for a few days, so of course they called back less than 2 hours later.
Danielle 2011-09-26 19:20:15 Debt Collector
It's also Jared Jewelers. They call every single day, even after you make a payment.
Barry 2011-08-06 20:00:47 Unknown
Just call them back and they will stop callling you. It cracks me up that you complain they call 30 times a day, I'm sure they "try" 30 times a day, answer and talk to them and they will stop. You did leave their store with the "promise" to pay them back, now apparently you don't have the money to follow through, yet you still have their jewelry and want to complain that they call, lol.
Sick of the harrassment 2011-06-22 17:16:17 Debt Collector
Sterling jewelers, not only will they harrass the s*** out of you until they"secure payment over the phone" but they are dumb as s*** and leave messages that say there hours about 3 times then repeat there number another 6 times, yeah, get it f*** heads you want money, sorry im broke and i only owe 200 bucks relax calling me 30 times a day won't change the fact i dont have a dime.
chipmunk23 2011-06-09 21:24:15 Unknown
Call 4 times a day during the day. Always leave half a message since it is recorded to call the number back. Lady on recording has a british accent. Not wasting my time calling them back.
Marc 2011-06-06 20:58:36 Unknown
They've called me twice and I haven't answered, I don't know who they are
dee 2011-06-06 20:58:36 Unknown
these people call my house repeated times a day some times 2 to 3x a day i am on the do not call list how can i get them to stop? can anyone help me?
Annoyed 2011-01-23 18:29:51 Unknown
I just called the number they left on their annoying voice mails
It is the collections department of jewelers
If you know you don?t owe anyone money just tell them that after they ask for your account number and verify the name. If the name isn?t yours tell them point blank to take you off their automated calling system
The kind gentleman said he would take care of it
Let?s see how long that takes

Bought a ring a month ago. Put it on the Kay card (3 months before payments are due). Yet they've been calling me since the first week. I still have two months before I'm even eligible for payment, why are they calling me already?
Brittany 2010-08-08 23:08:35 Unknown
Kay's Jewelers calling me every time I'm late on a payment. . . definately don't mind this call.
david palanuk 2010-06-04 06:10:11 Unknown
i must agree that they are the best collections related calls that i have ever experienced. it was my fault they called, they need a job too, but its awesome when they aren't a**holes.
C 2010-05-21 23:48:53 Unknown
I get a message that says "Your return call would be appreciated". No name, no information as to who they are, nothing. I'm not calling back till they tell me who they are!
Russ 2009-10-13 02:12:05 Unknown
This is in fact Sterling Jewlers, and if you have done buisness with any of their companies, they are within their rights to call you. I have gotten calls from this number myself. I have gotten behind on my payments due to illness in the family. They have gone the extra mile to work with me on the situation.

call states that it is a private notice and a formal investigation is being made along with a name search. They give a case docket number and a number to call back. sounds official. Did not call back though.
Mel 2009-02-05 21:53:51 Unknown
This number appears 30 times in my recent call log on my cell phone. I believe they are calling me 3-4 times a day. I have never bought jewelry in my life and if I ever did I don't believe I would buy from any branch of this company after this. This is uncalled-for harassment, and calling so repetitively in one day could be deemed harassment even if I was an actual customer.
