They ask for ID upfront and won't release anything that would identify them to ME first. Trying to not say they are debt collectors but I am in good standing with the one account I have there.

The guy claims to be from the collections department at US Bank.

Already talked to US Bank about accounts . Calling # back says number is not in service.

Us bank it's freaky cause they call you and ask ss and acct number and it feels like a trick but it's them I think

I keep getting these calls . I just mute them now. Nobody wants to change due dates for better payments, (Bank of the West), or help you get payments on time, or move a payment to back of hue loan. If were working, they'd be on time. We only get a once a month pay. They must be deaf, because they don't hear. Can't pay ANYTHING UNTIL AFTER THE 30TH STOP CALLING ALREADY, IT'S A COMPUTER AGE, PASS THE WORD ON IDIOTS!!!

I keep getting these from the above phone number at all hours of the day and night, at home and at work.  Checking online it appears to be us bank.  If they cannot leave a message, then send a letter.  I will not answer it if the name is not available..

AGREE ITS PROBABLY US BANK.  NO CALL ID GETS A NO RESPONSE FROM US.  ROTODIAL OUT TO BE OUTLAWED>CALL YOUR STATE  REPSRESENTATIVE AND TELL THEM - THEY ARE NEWLY ELECTED _ GET IN ON THE GROUND FLOOR WITH THIS ISSUE.   EVEN WHEN YOU TALK TO THE PEOPLE YOU OWE $$ TO & MAKE ARRANGEMENTS  ITS TO NO AVAIL>  IF I HAD MORE $$ I'D SEND MORE $$. MAYBE THEY OUGHT TO PAY ME TO LISTEN TO THE PHONE RING-WHEN THEY CALL ON THE HOUR. WE DEAL WITH COMPANY  NOT WITH COLLECTORS.  HARASSMENT DOESN'T WORK. WHY DO THEY THINK IT DOES?  YOU CAN'T PAY WITH MONEY YOU DON"T HAVE OR GO TO A JOB YOU DON'T HAVE.  WE  ALSO HAVE A PERSON HERE WHO WORKS NIGHTS.  SO GIVE IT A REST, FOLKS.  (Ha like i think they'll see this)  Remember they sit in a cubical,get paid commission, its short term if they don't get results they are gone and another loser takes their place.  Sorry but thats what people are who work for unethical purposes. There is no supervisor to speak with - they swap off being "super" with the guy in the next cubicle.

This jerk called me and wanted me to give all personal information as if I owed him that. I told him I would verify my address and name if he asked me, I thought it a little suspicious that i should give this info out to a stranger.  So I asked his name and ID number and guess what, he refused. These collections people may have a scam going on, soliciting info.

I called the US Bank Customer Service and was told that as long as I owed them money, they had the right to call me.  This was after the phone person put me on hold.  I informed her that was not true, so she put me on hold again and when she came back the second time, I was given the above number and told to call it because the people who call me call from that number, and that it was for Collections.
I had to wait until now to call. The person I spoke to was "brisk" but gave me the address of:

Fax number:  503-401-5640 to fax my letter to requiring them pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, to cease calling me until after th 30th of the month.  At least this person didn't lie or try to persuade me otherwise.

I had a call this evening and the person said he was from US Bank.  US Bank took over PFF Bank & Trust's loans when they went under.  I have a loan from PFF B & T which I pay every month on time, however, not by the 20th as US Bank wants.  (Today is the 28th).  PFF B & T never called me to make a loan payment ever, and I had no penalties or late fees applied if payment was made by the 5th of the following month.
I called US Bank Customer Service to find out which department to write to pursuant to the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act to get US Bank to cease and desist, and was told that I couldn't get the calls to cease as long as I owed them money.  I told the person I was talking to I knew better and had already called FTC and knew my rights.  She told me after putting me on hold the second time that I needed to call Collections and gave me the above number.  However, although I got the call after 7 p.m., CST, she told  me their hours were 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., CST.
And as an aside, although I had been paying my loan being serviced by American Home Mortgage Servicing Inc without them calling me, I started to get automatic calls on the 5th of the month although I had been making payments on time to them, thank you very much, without being nagged.
I guess President Obama's stimulus money allowed these banks to hire people to make these unnecessary phone calls.

I, too, have been receiving calls from this number. However, they claim to be US Bank not First Star. Also from 800 872 2625. Today, an UNAVAILABLE ID call was also from US Bank. Three calls in one day by three different numbers from the same people while I'm at work? They called 10 times now since Oct 2 (today is Oct 13). I'm guessing the FAIR CREDIT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT, 15 U.S.C.S SECTION 1692 doesn't apply to US BANK? I drive a semi-truck for a living so disturbing my sleep could be fatal to everyone out there. Calling at all hours is extremely hazardous in my profession.

It can get frustrating, but I do not, have never, nor will I ever answer phone numbers I do not recognize nor calls from callers that do no leave voicemails.
I called this number back while blocking the caller ID and it was US Bank.
