Received calls from this # 3 times today.  Left a message that it was imperative that I return the call.

THEY ARE CALLING SAYING WE MUST CALL OR OUR REPRESENTATIVE AND THEY SAY THEY HAVE NAME AND SS NUMBER

CALLED AGAIN SAID THEY WILL TAKE FURTHER ACTION IF WE DONT CALL AND THEY HAVE OUR SS NUMBER AND NAME

I called this number after they called me multiple times a day on my cell phone, which I doubt IO list for any business purpose.  The man who answered informed that he works for LHR, a legal financial firm in NYC. He asked for the number they called and I refused to give it him, telling him I am not comfortable with that.  He could not give me any information on why I was receiving calls unless I gave him my number.  He told me multiple times I can then expect the calls to continue.  And that cell phones are the number one way they reach people.  In the end he hung up on me.  What an a**hole.

Got a call from this # today and a nice professional recording on my voicemail.  They make it sound so legit don't they?  I have no outstanding debt, and I am confident that this is another scam from what I've read.  Thanks for all the helpful information on this board.  I wish these people would get a life.

This caller has called 3 times yesterday and at least 4 times already today by noon! They claim I have a Sears card that I have not paid on. Funny thing is I have never had any sort of credit card. I only  will fianance 2 items, a home and a vehichle. My last credit check was clean.  So I am wondering if they just want to scam me out of  some money. Anyway I called my phone company today, there is an option called "selective call rejection", it is costing me about 5.00 a month and I can add/ change up to 30 phone numbers. I'll see what happens tomarrow...... Hopefully no more calls:)

Left a message about a supposed debt.  Stated to hang up if I had been contacted by L A John Inc.  If not, I was supposed to call them about this unknown debt.  Also stated that they the law required them to inform me of this debt.  I thought it might me a scam to get personal information.

I received a call from this company asking me to give there # to my neighbor because they were unable to get a hold of them.  I have not given the # to my neighbor.  I checked out this first on the internet.  Thank you for the heads up on this company.

The company's name is LHR. They are a collection agency in New York and they are very seedy. They have called me trying to say I owe for a cell phone contract....which I never had. It stems from a prepaid cell phone I bought for my son...I purchased the phone and the minutes were purchased in advance. So when I asked for proof of debt they said it was announced over the cell phone when I bought it...in other words they can not provide it because it does not exist. (plus they say it took them 6 months to aquire that information) Which is a debt collector can not provide proof of debt with in 30 days of the request well.....sorry....
They are fly by night and if you owe something I would not pay them go back to the original debtor....I collected debt for over 12 years and they ARE NOT some one you want to deal with!

i work at a collection agency in ny.  one of my debtors called from this number once.  when i call this number to talk to her i just get hung up on.  i thought it was just because i was a bill collector and that they were hanging up on me.  anyway. i am now trying to sue the individual that called from this agency as she doesn't want to pay her debt.  the thing is that they never id the company when you call and when you ask the rep who answers, the name of the company, you get hung up on. so if anyone knows the name of this company i would greatly appreciate it.

i answered phone to see who it was. recorded msg saying it is imperative that i call.

Left garbled message - can't understand the person's name or firm - about "document number 1753759" and that it's important I call them back.  Number can't be found anywhere on-line.

No clue as to whom this is... but they seem to know me, my home phone number and a bogus file number
