They claimed (TWC) that I was behind and owed over $300.00.  What is ironic about this is that I pay in person in West Allis or via snail mail.  I can't help it if it arrived late in the mail.. it's holiday season now.   Anyhow, it is impossible that I owe over $300.00.  I will go in person on Monday to find out what is going on.   18006272288 was their number.

yes....this number is related to time warner billing dept. regarding cable, internet or telephone services past due for payment.

Yes! This happened to me recently. (I am in the Milwaukee area.) I wasn't quite sure it was a scam, since my payment was indeed about a week late already, but threatening to disconnect services for that short a time frame seemed suspicious. I told the caller that I would make a payment online and hung up (and did make the payment - LOL).

But as I said, I wasn't entirely sure it was a scam, so I did some googling this morning and found this website. Thanks!!

Un wanted calls from this number

Ive gotten this call about 3 times in the last week.  Not too frequent, but the biggest problem i have with it is that i dont even have TWC.  At least not under my name.  I live with my parents and we have Roadrunner in the house, thats it.  I just got my new cell phone a couple weeks ago, they managed to get that number and say "oh hey please pay your bill".  My cell phone number has nothing to do with any TWC service, and nor do i plan to.

Don't give your credit card number to these people.  They say they are from Time Warner and that your bill is past due...and want to know if you want to make a payment over the phone.  I fell for it once!  My credit card company caught it and notified me that a "Vender" had compromised my card...and closed that acct. and issued a new card.

They called again...probably because that card was no longer good...with the same thing.  "Your acct. is past due.  But it wasn't!  I phoned my local local TW office and told them what has been happening...of course...there was a "huh" response.

I just rec'd another call from this number...same M-O.   I told them..."there'll be NO payments made over the phone from this number."  The girl chuckled and said..."sorry you had a bad experience...Buh Bye!"

1-800-883-7976 calls 2xs per day and there is no one on the line. This is Time Warner Cable. It is very aggravating they call and I sit there and say hello hello hello and there4 is no one there. This is harrassment.  Report to FCC do to the calls.

They call..I say hello..hello..hello and no one replies!!! Call at least 2 times per day and never say anything.  You can report this to the FCC as an harrassment call since they say nothing.  I am going to do now.

I receive a phone call and when I answered there was no one on the line to speak to me. I got this call several times a day.

They call at least once a day and hang up.  I have no bills overdue and find no explanation for these calls!!

Called twice in last 24 hours out of the blue.  I don't answer unsolicited 800 numbers and there was no message left.

Caller called phone- no message. No such number anywhere in toll free databases, not on Time Warner homepage from Milwaukee. Don't know where this number is from, but questioning ligitimacy of caller.

Call constantly asking me to pay a bill that was already paid! Now they have my credit card number and I fear they will be charging me for services I didn't authorize.

I checked into some of Time Warner Cable Special Packages.  Even though I wasn't sure that I wanted the package, they took my number and said I had 30 days, and I should call a number to arrange installation.  I decided against it, but their installation department called for about a two weeks to set up a time.  Eventually they stopped calling.

Ya, I've gotten this before too.  This number will call but no body talks on the line... I sit there saying "hello... hello... hello" and I can hear office noise in the background.. people talking and stuff... then I just hang up..

Called saying they are Time Warner but shows "Not Provided".  Who do they think they are asking about finacial Information and they can not even provide there name.  Have they heard about Telephone fraud?

Time Warner Cable Milwaukee. They call and hang up. 4-5 times a day. I called back and found out I was late on a payment, but there's no reason to call and hang up repeatedly.
