Just got a call asking for the passcode on my account and was just a recording. ATT said this is not a call they would make asking for this information and are checking out my account now.

Automated message claiming to be ATT,"Please enter your 4 digit code", "This is usually the last 4 digits of your social security number".    And so I obviously hung up without entering the last 4 digits of my social security number.

Phishing phone call!!!!!

My # is on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY but I still get these calls. WTH????

What I love about this scam is the asking for your social security number. A REAL debt collector knows it. They have a copy of your credit report right in front of them. They know name, address, phone number, date of birth, etc. When you get such a call & they ask you to confirm anything, either hang up, or tell them to send you something in writing. However the cost of first class mail from Asia significantly cuts into the scam profit.

Got a call that my phone account was in jeopardy, and was prompted to "enter my account pin- usually the last four digits of your social security number"

I hung up without entering any information and searched the number.

I called Verizon on this number as I am suspicious of this. I work in Loss Prevention and this didn't seem right as I am always looking for theft and fraud. After calling Verizon I was told that this is a ROBOscam. DO NOT LOG INTO THE SITE GIVEN IN THE RECORDING.

Something about a virus and an amount of three hundred and something dollars being deducted from my phone bill. Couldn't understand name given.

Have now received 2 phone calls from 800-888-9610 and one from 800-888-9611 in the last two days to inform me that 'I am among 384 lucky people who can have $384 deducted from my next phone bill.  Just log on to "www.VX384.com" blah, blah, blah.'  Call ended with something about Verizon cares about you....What a scam - IGNORE!!!

My husband and I both got calls from this number,  they left a VM  stating that we needed to log into our account to redeem $384.  ended with " at Verizon we care about you".   I am reporting to Verizon, I know this is a scam, but I would love it if Verizon really would give us $384.

Received 3 phone calls from 8008889610  AND 8008889611 in the past 12 hours.  They change the last digit of their number so you can't keep up with them and block their calls.   This is obviously a scam.  They left a piece of a voicemail stating the $384 nonsense.   I wanted to report their numbers to the FTC but they are closed due to Gov't Shutdown!

This caller called me yesterday 3 times within 20 minutes. I didn't answer & they didn't leave a message.

I got 2 calls within minutes.  No voicemail.  I called the number back to see who it was and it rang several times and then disconnected.  Never a live person.  
I don't even have Verizon and haven't for years.  ?????

I got the same call yesterday saying $384 would be deducted from my bank account.

Received 2 calls from this number on Sunday, 10/13 exactly 20 minutes apart starting at 12:57PM. Answered neither, no message, never seen the number before.

Received 3 calls yesterday within 10 minutes of each other, didn't leave any message.

Received call. Didn't answer. Caller left message that my account would be charged $384.00.

18008889610 called my cell phone multiple times on Sunday.  I answered none of the calls.
The last call left a voicemail, the beginning of which was cut off. What did record was a message telling me I owed $384. The message closed with "at Verizon, we care about you"!
FYI -  I owe Verizon nothing!!!  

The caller said 384 dollars would be deducted from my bank account in the next few days.  I did not hear all of the call.  I was called at Oct. 13 at 12:23pm and at 12:43 pm.

This number called my cell phone several times today Oct 13. I did not answer, and the caller left no message

left a message saying I owe $384 to someone I think Verizon, they may charge a lot like Comcast, but I don't owe either on back pay.

No they didn't hack a list of Verizon customers -- they called my cell phone, which is with AT&T.  Then left a robocall voicemail.  This scammer is just robocalling random numbers and hoping to scare anyone who does have Verizon into thinking that they actually are from Verizon, with a phony story about an alleged $348 charge.

Receive cash back from Verizon (not) Verizons number though...  SCAM.  Are there no Law Enforcement People in America?
